Today is international BACON DAY!!!!

I have been wanting to go to IHop on this most sacred day. I have plans with my sister to go and have a bacon sundae.....I want to jump into a pile of bacon and syrup and just be a fatty until I have to go home.

Anyways I was wondering if anyone here actually acknowledes this day of the year and any BACONTASTIC recipes you love?

There's actually a bacon shortage and the reason packages are getting smaller while the price inflates drastically is pretty much because of the internet's obsession with bacon.

So let's stop being bandwagon riding idiots before twelve slices costs 20 bucks for bland shit.

You do realize that it takes a fair deal of time and resources to make a pig reach maturity to be harvested, right? And that pork is used for a bunch of other cuts and the simple act of harvesting the animal does mean instant bacon?

If they can't supply and process the cuts to keep up with demand, it becomes scarce, which is exactly what's happening now. Bacon is way the hell more expensive than it used to be just a few years ago and the packages are just getting smaller. Anyone who hasn't noticed isn't the one who buys the groceries.

I usually the one who buys bacon I'm my family. I also work with bacon at work so I notice it's expensive. I do however like bacon a whole lot and I'm willing to pay more for it if need be. I don't eat it every day but when I do eat it then it's a treat and I eat enough to be happy and content.
