No abnormal magic. Like Necromancy or something. Kind of like that he can smell you guys just fine, but he's not trying to find you guys so he can phase that out.

Makes sense xD get used to a scent snd it fades into the background, eh?

Something like that. His senses are special in that he can selectively block out anything that he doesn't need to focus on. Very helpful since this allows him to see through "masked" sounds, smells, etc. Andari is the best tracker, or at least I'd like to think of him as one.
