In the big beach city of Miami, there are some... Mystical Things going on. Werewolves, vampires, angels and demons are common place, and if your phone doesn't have a battery reserving enchantment on it, there's probably something wrong. Business is booming, and crime is too. You? Well, your just some guy or gal living here, trying to make it by without getting bit or fried.

Races

Humans - You're just a guy, the normal human. No inclinations, no special abilities inherent by race, you're just you. they live about 80 years.

Angels - You're the embodiment of light, and will always do what you think is right above all else. You have wings, and can use majyks. They live for about 130 years

Demons - You're the embodiment of Dark, and will always fulfill your needs first. You have a movable tail, and a resistance to heat, and can use majyks. You're skin is red or purple. Demons live about 120 years

Nephilim - Half-Angels, born with small wings, and majyk coursing through them. They are generally viewed as abominations by the gods, but most who do not believe or devoutly worship the gods are fine with them. Nephilim live about 100 years

Vampires - Born vampire or a bitten human, you have a need to ingest other races blood for nourishment. You have a natural resistance to pain in your human form, and can transmogrify into mist, or a bat. Vampires live about 200 years

Werewolf - Born werewolf or bitten, you have the inexplicable ability to turn into a dog-like creature at night. In your werewolf form, you're stronger, faster, and more resistant to pain. Unfortunately, you are very susceptible to majyks. You are able to control you're transformation naturally on all nights but the full moon. If you have a charm, you can control it then, too. You live about 80 years

Nymph - Created by the gods, you are an embodiment of an element of nature. You can manipulate and are made of your element, but can't use other majyks such as enchanting or runes very well, though it's still possible. You live until you wish to die

Druids - You are connected with nature, literally. You are a person who's correlation with nature gives you majykal abilities. You can sense plants, manipulate them, and feed off their energy for your abilities. To use majyk, you have to have some form of plant nearby, or on hand. You live about 70 years

Chosen - You are a human chosen by the gods to have majykal powers. your veins glow with power, and you follow the gods devoutly as payment for the powers. You emanate an aura of energy, and are about 2-4" taller than the average human. You live about 90 years

Hybrids - You can be a hybrid Nymph, Druid, Demon, Vampire, or Werewolf. These races have mixed traits. Werewolves become half-wolves at night, Vampires can't transmogrify. Nymphs are no longer made of their element, but still have most control over them. Demons are humans with majyk and tails, and Druids have no majyk use, but still manipulate nature, and use their energy to heal. To calculate the age of a hybrid, average both ages.

Fae - A manifestation of the dead, unlucky, and unloved. You take a myriad of shapes and haunt the world that created you with majyks . You live forever, and cannot pass on into The Afterlife.

How Runes Work
Runes are majykal symbols used by majykal being. All you need is a writing utensil, and mayjyk potential. You can write it on an object, yourself, or someone else. They can affect beings directly and indirectly. If runes are erased or stop existing in any way, you can not use there enchantments or abilities.

How Spells Work
Spells are used by majykal beings chanting certain words, and making certain motions. most spells affect a being directly, Healing spells, destructive majyks, etc.

How Enchantments Work
Enchantments are used by Majykal beings laying their hands upon a being or object, and chanting. Most enchantments affect things indirectly, faster regeneration, stoneskin, etc.

How Codes Work
Codes are used by majykal beings by using the written word on a peice of paper, or a digital device. Codes do not affect things, but instead create them.

Personality - arrogant, jerky, and hostile. If you get to know him, he isn't half bad though, and will probably lay down his life for you.
Bio - He was born in a Angel/Human household, and after another child, a divorce, and some sibling abuse, he pretty much became a jerk. He now hangs around at home locked in his room most of the time, and occasionally goes out for hot cocoa.
Appearance - Brown hair, brown eyes, brown jacket with red wing symbol, white tee, tall, small white wings, pale, blue baggy jeans, a grey beanie, glasses, and grey shoes.

Personality - Anxious and quick to anger. He fluctuates wildly between outgoing and reserved. Very loyal and reasonably friendly once he decides he likes you.
Bio -An anarchist who is deeply devoted to doing God's work by destroying capitalism and oppression, by any means necessary. He goes to a lot of marches and meetings and wears himself out, then spends days online marathoning bad Tv shows.
Appearance - Pretty uniformly light brown, with tan skin, dark-blond hair in a stylish cut, hazel eyes. Generally glowing gold. About 6' tall. Seemingly androgynous [using "he" because it's easier]. Large white feathered wings. Wearing a white cotton robe folded in an elaborate way that navigates around the wings. Metallic gold-colored running shoes.

I wasn't sure what sort of things I could have in my inventory. I'm hoping to have some enchantment on the objects I mentioned but I'm not sure of like, levels if you see what I mean. How powerful things can be, starting out. So I can figure out the details once that's established. But my idea is that he has an enchanted credit card that mimics the credit cards of wealthy people so he can buy whatever he needs as long as he can find it in a store, and then some sort of magical phone app...could be maybe a magical Maps app that can find certain things, or an app like Sound Hound that listens to audio and determines whether people are lying. Those are my ideas, anyway.

@twelveobin I like both of those ideas. So it's like an enchantment to mold the credit card into the credit cards of wealthy persons? I would assume that most stores would realize that the card is not yours after purchase or even during, so you're a criminal? Also, although I do like the majykal phone apps, I have no idea if they should be counted as runes, enchantments, or spells. Maybe I could create a final kind of majyk called "Code" which is like computer code, except majyk. It is used for summoning, and creation. Do you like that idea?

Name - Joshua Arrowsmith

Race - Human (for now? explain below)

Personality - Josh is a nice, caring guy who loves to joke around, usually trying to lighten the mood in bad or dangerous situations. Josh is also a very determined and stubborn individual, you can't change his mind once he has made it up. Josh also LOVES to play hero, usually trying to save the day even though he might be outmatched, outnumbered or out gunned.

Bio - Josh grew up in a normal household, his mother and father both had jobs, his father a lawyer and his mother was a nurse at a local hospital, they lived in the richer part of town. But that doesn't mean Josh was a spoiled kid, in his family he has to work for everything he had, everything was normal for the longest time up until grade eleven, weird things started to happen around him, when he would walk around at night like he did every night he would feel as though he were followed everywhere he went, he would also feel watched during most of the day, the only time he wouldn't feel watched or followed is when he was around his mother. He brought this news to her and she laughed and told him not worry. But it seemed to get worse after that, the next few weeks were hell, he would hear someone talking to him in his dreams and things around his house seemed to move or go missing on a daily basis.

He brought this news to his mother again, she seemed upset or angry and said she would take care of it. Curious Josh followed her to work the next day, she made a stop at some old house, she knocked on the door and a ghastly old woman opened the door the conversation was normal until his mother told the old hag to leave her son alone, the woman cackled "can't a grandmother see her own grandson?". They had an argument and Josh's mother made a threat to the old woman and stormed off. The old woman watched her leave "you shouldn't eavesdrop young man". The woman said as she was suddenly behind him.

@Automaton all majyk users are technically wizards or witches, but if you're looking for humans with majyk, Chosen are what you're looking for. As for seers, what do you mean? Oracles with the power to see the future? If so, A spell could be used for that, or you could use a code to create a crystal ball to predict the future. Fae. Okay, I can create something like that, would you mind working with me on that so we can create something to your liking, that also fits within the universe? Also, accepted, assuming that's the end of your bio.

Miami would be a perfect setting! Only in Florida, where the weirdness happens as well as lax gun laws. I'm also debating which character I should make: A cyborg type due to medical matters or a stealthy outsider type.

My first CS is right here:

Name - Lawrence "Larry" Schmidt

Race - Human, though can be mistaken for other species

Personality - As a working member of Miami's Police Department, he has a strong sense of justice and sees the world as a chessboard. One of Larry's favored adages was, "Don't waste time on the pawns and go for the king!" Needless to say, he favors a swift and efficient plan. Larry also has a pithy, if not sharp, wit. This means an ironic statement or two might be uttered. Larry also notes that some tales of the supernatural are used to scare weary travelers and superstitious fools, meaning he takes them with a grain of salt. He sees all sentient/sapient beings as people rather than monsters.

Bio - Originally a purely a flesh and blood SWAT officer, he was first in the fray and last one out. However, an injury during his high adrenaline and high paced operations maimed him and though it did not kill him, the devastation he would face at his career being potentially ended was quite immense. He was very good at his job and Larry believed that inexplicable "acts" should not end his distinguished career as an assault officer. Fortunately, he saved enough money for treatment. His thrift and insurance combined made him able to try out experimental artificial limbs. After he returned to the force, his first words to his colleagues were, "Lo and behold! Your very real-life RoboCop!" Although the artificial limbs had their downsides and quirks, Larry considered them more annoyances and merely brushed them off, such as whirring and having to lubricate them for smoother actions.

Second CS:

Name - Bahram Yazdizadeh

Race - Hybrid (half-human, but other half is unknown)

Personality - Bahram has trouble trusting others and looks out for number one. He is alienated as an immigrant and is dead serious. As his family isn't with him in Florida. he developed an "on the run" mindset as he is on his own. He does have a disdain for the feds though as he has heard horror stories of the United States government's past and activities. As he was part of the Iranian military at one point of his past, the US military doesn't scare him. He sees them as "hot of blood and dim of wit." He also has knowledge and skill with weaponry. He knew of the risks from not just crime in Miami, but also the less than friendly flora and fauna.

Bio - Adept at computer science and the technological field, Bahram Yazdizadeh once aspired to become Iran's Bill Gates. He worked with UNIX derived systems such as Linux for ideas on the next OS from an early age. However, the dreams had to be halted as Iran's compulsory military service came once he reached 18 years old. He was taught some tricks of the military as they trained him. Bahram was fortunately a quick learner and excelled, ending his service well, though many inquiries were made into his lineage as he had an air of otherworldly heritage. However, it was concluded that he was adopted rather than being a Djinn or a "bastard from a basket" child. Fortunately, he was allowed to leave the country and immigrate. He tried to take some family members with him, but it could not work out well due to financial problems. As a result, he immigrated to Florida, where one of his relatives is living abroad. The current goal is to get enough money so he can settle his family in California, which is said to be a safer haven for Iranians due to the Tehrangeles ethnic enclave.

Appearance - Red hair and green eyed, he stuck out from his peers even though such a combination exists in the Iranian genome. In fact, the red hair and green eyes were the reasons he was speculated to have otherworldly DNA in him according to local mullahs.

Inventory - PDA/Smartphone for hacking and utility, Makarov Pistol from relative in case of gator attacks, Khanjar dagger for close quarters also for gator attacks

Age - 25

Thanks for your opinion. I planned to put in unknown other half as a plot point so that he can journey to trace his lineage. The lineage in question is all up to the GM to decide.
