Well if Duck arrives with his 100+/200+ fleet, then I'll be outmatched anyways.
At the moment, I have the most firepower with two warships/an exploration couple.

In total, pretty much the only nations that don't have a bigger fleet than me is KeyGuy and his humans, and Ab with his Nouvellians. Everyone else has more.

Hey! I technically have around a thousand ships I can muster! it's just that only two of those are FTL capable, and only about 200 are equipped with military-grade weaponry.

Would it be considered powergaming or metagaming by meeting every other race out in the void when they first come into play? Because obviously one has to meet one race, at the minimum, for the roleplay to have meaning, but it's kinda like riding a horse on rocky terrain and hitting practice targets with a longbow every time at varying distances, from ten meters to a hundred.

It irks me, and not just because you, duck, is doing so.

The Convergence has only made contact with one race
The Hivemind has made contact with one race
The Merfolk has yet to make real contact with anyone
The Iscandies have made some form of contact to all but the Convergence, and full contact with the Humans, the Sazas, etc
The Valk have made contact with the Convergence, the Hivemind, the Nouvellians, and very basic oh-my-god-who-is-that with the Humans and the Iscandies
The Nouvellians have had contact made by the Humans and the Valk, and duck will shortly be added
The Sazas have made contact with the Iscandarians and the Humans [I think]
Who else?

Could they go against more than a dozen ships that are all heavily, heavily armored, all are FTL-capable, all are able to see everything in the immediate area around them, and with a powerful, though small, selection of weapons among them all? Not including their superweapon. They could all simply fire, FTL a very short distance, say around your ships, fire, and then do so again and again, moving so that you'd have to constantly readjust weapons, ship angles, targeting systems, and making up for all damages?

They don't have a uniform military; they all act more or less on their own. Command says "Kill them! They pose threat, we must eliminate!" and they all kinda go, "Yea, we're gonna go here, you say you're going there, ok let's go. Make sure not to hit each other."

Then they all just kinda go their own way, an individual pattern to each.

But ramming my ships would do more harm to yours than mine. While I could just disengage inertial dampeners, and just get a push and a few scratches, dents, and maybe a crater or two, you'd have the front of your ship smashed up and unable to do anything, and you'd be right next to a ship that will just spam you with missiles that penetrate, widen, penetrate some more, widen that again, until everything is scrap.

LaZnyd, it doesn't seem like the roleplay leans for story at all. There's a few that just want to rush scenes and get to the shooting. The Convergence is friendly until attacked. And they never become friendly ever again if they become attacked (Towards the aggressor, anyway)

Hmm... I see. That sounds unfortunate. Time to go edit the Alarai to have hundreds of thousands of massive dreadnought ships.

Although I will say this: the Alarai will never become the aggressor in any conflict. Conflict just isn't in their nature, and in all practicality they have very little reason to fight over anyone. They're pretty much fine with people setting up cities on Atlantis if they want, considering that to them the surface is desolate wasteland on which none of their kind can live. Even if there is a planet dispute over colonies, they can just agree that they get the oceans and the other party gets the land.

The Ethereals are antagonists, but prefer to work behind the scenes towards their dastardly goals. New Condia got way out of hand, I was kind of hoping for a quick an decisive victory, gathering style XD

I had sunk in a good several hours of writing as well as research into an application early yesterday morning, only to completely forget to save my work -- went to post, and got an error page. :/

But, I've cooled off a bit and I'm looking forward to starting on an application again. I'll post it sometime this morning, I look forward to getting back into Forum RP again.
