This is a 1 x 1 RP between PopeAlessandros and AkiBlue, if you're not us, don't post. Also, M/M, don't like, don't read!

Base Idea: The knight has fought long and hard in the war, and now the war is won. As traditions dictate, he is now the chosen one to marry the next in line for the throne. His deeds in battle has earned him the right, and to turn down the tradition would shame not only him, but also the royal family. The only child of the king and queen, the crowned prince, is not eager to be married off like this, especially to the hero of a war he never supported, and while he begrudgingly agreed that traditions must be upheld, he is more than a little unsettled at the idea of marrying a complete stranger, and a fighter to boot. His own interest run more towards the magical aspects of the world, and he's convinced that a soldier would never understand him.

Setting and stuffs:

I see an old Japanese palace with the nice red pillars and that sweet roof design. Also, set. . . . .Set in the time before electricity, and in a land with non earth domestic an wild animals. Like the gaellahorses from Escaflowne, and the turtleducks from The Las Airbender and stuff like that :P I see my guy having a pet. . . .Something he keeps with him that often pesters your guy. I seee. . .Large gardens, and the palace is set against a huge forest, whole in front is a stretch of forest with a plain on the other side. I see a large stone walkway and rock garden leading up to the steps that take you to the big front doors. I see these people as humans, no extras save for the magic, and magic being common enough that it is an actual field of study. Also see them not having a problem with two guys marrying since they don't 100% rely on the bloodline thing. Our guys could adopt and everyone would be fine with it.

I see my guy having a hard time adjusting, even if he wants to, and having his "Friends" visit, making remarks about the prince in non too polite a manner.

You are on the plains, then you enter a thick line of trees. The path is twisted and dark, but not too long. Once on the other side the land opens up and you are on a wide stone path leading up to a long set of stairs leading to a big black set of doors with beautiful carving and metal studs. The walls are the traditional bottom half stone, top half paper windows, and above that a classic dark green Japanese roof. It is two stories high, with a few towers, one for each corner, and this is where the royalty sleeps. The palace is a perfect square, with a huge garden in the middle open to the sky, and several smaller ones here and there both inside and out. The back part of the palace runs right up against the forest, and some of it's branches hang over the roof.

Small pet that hides in a pocket or something. Like a ferret.

I dunno, I like how is. I was just thinking that some of the gardens had koi pools because those are nice. And the Prince's tower would be in the back. . .right. Back right, yush.

To no longer being a soldier and the like. Also, he never thought he'd be the hero, so, marrying the prince!? Oh boy, now he has to learn to "Be royalty".

He probably has kind parents, though strict when it comes to tradition. . . And he himself is allowed to study magic. What's the basis of magic in this era?

Elemental, the six basics with potential for the sub groupings. Fire, water, earth, air, light, and dark.

Transportation just like horseback and carriages, since we are reversing in time. And turtle cars. . .

I see the Prince not too much of a shut in, but is kept inside for his safety often. Maybe because of the fear of the war and possible assassins? Maybe?

I see the village being a bit spread out, maybe having several crop and animal farms so the country will be more self sufficient.

There's a central part, where all the shops and most of the homes are, with the farms spreading out for miles around.

Any other place to add in the mix? 'Nother palace, secret hiding place in the forest behind the castle? Oh wait- I could do that. Hrm. . . Etc?

Okay, think in shapes. Palace is in a clearing in a forest in the shape of a rectangle. In the front the forest is not too deep and leads to open plane, of to the sides the forest stretches on for a while, one side leadning to a mountain side, the other a great river, more forest, then a plane, and behind the palace is a very thick, very huge, forest. So! The village would be a few miles away from the front of the palace with the open plane between the palace and the village.

Set Ideas

Oh, at some point, I see them fighting and something making Akito snap and pin/throw Hiro to the ground or something. A moment where Hiro seems to have forgotten that though he may appear shy, he's killed a lot of people.
I see it startling Hiro, maybe(hopefully) even scaring him to add some drama.
My first vision was him grabbing Hiro-kun's neck, which could still happen, but that would be an extreme moment.
I was thinking it could be a little time later, when Akito feels Hiro may be trusting him in a meaningful way, and he brings up his concerns over the activities of some of the servants. And in true prince fashion he hasn't seen any odd behavior or paid attention to the servants enough to realize some are acting weird and calls Akito a warmonger or something. "Just looking for a new enemy to attack unjustly" or something like that. Maybe have this chat happen a day or so after a fight about wars themselves.
