I think mine is pretty self explanatory.

idlehands said I've never done this, ever. Hell it was embarrassing enough telling my husband what my name was on RPG/steam and some other stuff, all of it's the same. Worlds were colliding.

I don't really get this, why do people have issues with worlds meeting?
I mean for me, friends are friends, interests are interests. I'd like it if all my friends could meet, and I don't really see someone as a friend either if I feel there is interests of mine I need to hide from them.

Kaga said Virtually all of my RL friends call me Kaga. As does one of my professors. I kind of like it more than my real name, so I'm cool with this.

My friends tried calling me Gwazi for a brief instant because we used to frequent one friends house whose Dad's name was Anthony, same as mine so simply saying "Anthony" got confusing.
But it got dropped quickly cause Gwazi was a lot more awkward for them to say in normal conversation just from pronounciation.

Magic Magnum said So one day while playing with friends on Guild Wars 2 on my Gwazi Magnum character I got bored, so I got up on a ledge in the main city, stripped my character down to pink pants and shoes and started dancing. I ended up creating an MMO naked dance party from it. As a result, one of my friends coined the term "Magic Magnum" in reference to the movie Magic Mike,

The most dynamic RP antagonist character I've made was named Sole Scuro (English translation: Dark Sun) to reflect on its power to absorb light like a black hole. It was an assassin character, nothing crazily over powered. Absorb light in a general area, not too big of an area either probably just the size of an average class room, and it would roam around attacking its enemies with daggers. Best non-human and antagonist character I've written.

I just started using the name of the character as my username, which used to be Djinn when I was in middle school. I changed to Sole Scuro freshman year of high school, and just for writing websites I condense it to Sole.

Mine is the name of a poorly written, angst filled, demon character that originally started off as a joke. When I was twelve or thirteen, I remembered he existed when registering my DSi username and tried to use 'Broby the Dark', only to find out the DS has a ten character limit. Tried 'Broby Da Dark', but realized that was three above the character limit and dropped it to 'BrobyDDark'. I've used the name ever since, only ever using my other handle, somedood, when I do mmo's and stuff.

Halo said
I was 13, and very stupid, and thought "HaloAssault" was a cool name. I asked for it to be changed, but as everyone's experience with the old name-change thread attests to, the process was slow (not that I begrudge that; Mahz and Contra have better shit to do.) Of course, "Halo" was the natural shortening of that ridiculous name, so when I had to remake my account on NewGuild... this is the only place I have that handle, though. I have multiple others I use elsewhere.

My name change happened almost instantly on oldguild.

When I met my husband, he didn't even have an email. He's old school but he's starting to warm up to the idea of finding people with similiar interests online. He still thinks I'm a big nerd though for playing MMOs and RPing.
