"W-well...thank you! If there's other people here, we might have to search for them! Jinta, we should go now!"Her confidence seemed to surge with every passing moment she was with him. Only a few minutes ago, it seemed, she was terrified. At the same time, though, who knows what might happen if she was isolated for too long?

"Wait one moment!" He replied, grabbing Jun by the arm in case she were about to run off. "Mister, or miss, floaty orb thingy? You said something about me succumbing to some 'Darkening' thing, right? What is it?" Jinta seemed serious to know this, especially since the orb specifically mentioned him when it told them about the Darkening before...

"The Darkening," the orb began, as though about to tell a long tale, "is, essentially, the true curse within this school... Lost souls collect here to create it, and it's presence lingers around shadows and corpses... The more horrific things you see, the easier it becomes...for the Darkening to take you over..." The orb paused, as though it had finished it's tale, though continued before Jinta could ask anything. "It's very existence is based upon sanity...like a virus is to get around immune systems... You'll notice it beginning to take over...because you're vision will become worse...becoming bleaker, colourless, and increasingly difficult to focus... Once this occurs, I suggest you take a breather... If you chose to push on, beware...it'll cause you to lose control when you don't expect... It can cause you to kill those around you, or yourself...I would know... I was a victim of it..."

"So, is that all you wished to know?" The spirit asked. Jinta nodded for the both if them. "Well, good... By the way, check one of the pockets on my body..." The orb floated over to its body, as though assessing it. "Inside...is an amulet charged with energy... It's of more use to you than me... You can use it to knock unwanted spirits away..." The orb then floated back to the two of them. "Goodbye."

And with that, the white and blue orb vanished....

Yosuke sighed in relief as Naomi decided to calm herself. She was still shaking a tad, but it was better than her flipping out completely and stabbing him or something. She was definitely trying hard to repress her... urge. She pushed him forward a bit to "get the ball rolling", so to speak. He made his way up the stairs with Naomi, carefully helping her up each step. "So, let's talk about something." Yosuke said, trying to distract her thought process. "Uh. So, do you... have any interests? I like Videogames, and stuff." Yosuke asked as he ascended up the stairwell to the new floor.

As the two ascended the stairwell, they found yet another body. This one appeared to be recently deceased and under the process of decomposition. It was clearly a male high school student, and his left leg appeared to have been twisted all the way around and torn open, revealing the bone within. He had numerous stab wounds across his body, all very delicately carved and in precise areas. His face was half eaten with maggots and the smell once again flooded their nostrils...

A student I.D name tag sat on the floor beside him:

Name: Ryosuke Katayama
Grade: 11
Byakuden Senior High School
Class 2-4

Yume eyed the door as it swung open, revealing behind it 3 children glowing in dim blue light and oh what horrifying sight to see.
One little boy had blood continuously dripping and flowing out of his mouth.
The second one was a girl who had no right eye
and the last one was the most terrifying one of all. The half of her head was completely gone and the only part present was the jawline. A pool of blood could be seen just above it. Aside from that, she was holding a pair of sharp scissors, snipping and snapping vigorously.

Yume's desire to scream was trapped the verge of her fear that she was petrified and sat still. She couldn't mouth a word when she laid eyes on them.

"I'm going to KILL YOOUUU!!" It laughed out.
Yume's breathing starting to get out of control. But somehow, a quiet voice rang out like a trail.
"Help me..."

Pictures then again started to flash in her head of the same scenery again.

Continuing, Yume was back in the room where she still laid eyes on the children who's hands and feet were merciless tied together and eyes covered with a dirty cloth.
A loud agonizing scream could be heard across the room. Yume turned at the direction and could see a shadow of a huge man and a small child getting tortured by a shadow of a pair of scissors. Half of her head began slicing off and blood splattered everywhere. Along that were the screams of fear by the other two children. Terrible. How pitiful. How horrifying as Yume realized that those 3 spirits were these children. And the one who's getting tortured....is that child...

Yume came back to her senses and could see the spirit with the scissors dashing towards her and Kiku.
I can help you.... Yume repeatedly whispers in her mind. She still couldn't say a word with her lips.
I can help you.... I CAN HELP YOU! I CAN HELP YOU! I CAN HELP ALL OF YOU!!

"I CAN HELP YOU!" Yume finally used her lips and bolted out at the spirits, holding onto kiku to ensure his state.

And what existed behind the door triggered it all.

Snap. Snap. Snap. "I'm going to kill you!!!" said by the girl whose left eye is non-existent. Two other children were also there. One with half of his head is missing, and another with blood trailing down from his mouth. All of a sudden, the one with the scissors started moving towards them. "W-What are yo... *gasp*" he suddenly started to breath more heavily, kneeling on the ground as he did so. He felt so scared, at what was happening to him. His vision was completely black. "Y-Yume?!" he looked for her as he reached for anything in front of him. "Where? Where am I?!" His thoughts were all blurry, he couldn't think properly. Kiku felt helpless. He knows why this is happening, but he couldn't do anything about it. His mind and body were in disarray, as if they were trying to act independently.

Kiku all of a sudden seemed like he gave up as he stopped moving. With his hands on his head, he tried to compose himself, but it was hard. Think. Think! Reminiscing about everything good, he soon came upon his memories in the school and remembered, "I CAN HELP YOU!", shouted the one that appeared in his mind "Yume!" He looked up, but still he couldn't see anything, but he knew. Yume is here, he's not alone, and he's supposed to be there for her.

Mustering his strength, he went to where the voice was and stood there, right in front of Yume. However, he had reached his limits. From exhaustion, he started to fall on the ground. 'And when I was.. supposed to protect Yume... I do.. this...' Unable to stand completely, he decided to just kneel there, "We'll.. help you...!" he said as he did so, directed at the spirits. He heard it as well, 'help me... and he knew they were not bad. Something had happened. They're suffering from something, and he wanted to help them as well.

" I don't watch tv, my family's home doesn't have any power and is very derelict, when it's night I have to use a candle just to see." Naomi informed him, her home life wasn't something she'd just speak out, but since they were doomed somewhere else than the real world, she figured she'd tell him. When the two came across the second body the bad smell didn't effect her, Naomi felt obligated to reach down and take it's I.D, and she read it aloud," Ryosuke Katayama." telling Yosuke so he wouldn't have to ask her who it was lying on the floor.

-Eien : Heavenly Host-

As soon as he approached the girl, he began regretting regretting decision he made. The girl looked completely deranged, and soaked in blood it appeared to indulge in the sorrows of others. He began eyeing her in horror as she began cackling like an insane lunatic out for blood. That orange glow dissipated into thin air, and a new aura overtook the girl in a horrific frenzy. Eien barred his teeth as he looked at the girl, trying to force himself to run away, but yet he couldn't move his legs in time. This girl was supernatural and out for blood and used some sort of mythical method to cause the two to soar down the hallway. Eien shook his head to get himself back on track, and watched as the demon spawn began inching closer and closer to them both. He had to get Mayuri out of here before she suffered from the horrendous decision he made, but alas he couldn't move his body.

"(I fucked up... No, no, no!)"

As fate began to close in on the two, a bright light shown from the infirmary, blinding the boy. He lost track of almost all his senses, and began swirling in out of conscious and unconsciousness. He looked over in horror to see that Mayuri was losing blood at a quicker rate due to his decision. As he was on the brink of falling into the darkness, he heard a girl scream. He eyed where the sound came from be for losing track of the world around him.
After who knows how long, Eien began to slowly open his eyes. His vision was blurry for a few moments, and he quickly blinked to regain his vision. He looks around, and rubbed the back of his head in confusion about the events that transpired. The ghost girl he saw earlier had dispersed, and from what he could tell from a distance was that the infirmary door was now open. He turned to see if Mayuri was still there beside him, and thankfully she was. He stared at her as if she was a beacon of hope, and quickly recalled that she had a wound that had to be treated. He reached over to bend her body over to see how she was, and from the looks of it the wound had opened up even further due to his awful decision. As his eyes widened, he pushed himself up from the floor, ignoring the pain that coarsed throughout his body. He reached over and slipped one of his hands under her legs and one begin her back to carry her. He trudged towards the infirmary, ignoring everssed of pain telling him to stop and wait for the soreness to go away... But he keep going on. Eien was much more concerned for M ayuris safety right now due to the incorrect action he performed, and traversed down the hall, and quickly entered the infirmary.
-Eien : Heavenly Host = Infirmary-

As he entered the room, he took a look around the rotting place, his arms trembling for a multitude of reasons. As he looked around, he found himself an infirmary bed where he could lie the girl down. He gently set her down, and let out a soft sigh. He then went to scanning the place, checking for any this this could use to stop the girls rapid bleeding. He hastily began rummaging around to find any sign of bandages or gauze to help stop the flowing blood. As he looked around, he turned his head to check on the girls condition, worried about what awful fate the girl would have to face if she died. He came to the realization long ago that anyone death here would be forgotten, unless a person was one of the few who left this horrendous place.

"(I'm so sorry for doing this to you Mayuri... I promise to be much more careful in the near future. I promise I won't let anything awful like that happen to you again because of my actions! Jeez, I was such an idiot for thinking that person would help us out! GOD DAMNIT!)"

He just wants to cry right now, but he didn't weep as he had more pressing matters to attend to. He continued I. His endeavors for searching for supplies that could help Mayuri, or the duo in the long run. He now knew what this place was capable of hosting, so he needed to prepare himself for the worst case scenario.

What she finds is what appears to be an amulet or locket of sorts. It shows absolutely signs of wear and, oddly enough, touching it makes Jun feel...safer? The amulet also seemed to be shrouded in some kind of unseen light. It truly was strange...

Jinta studied the trinket before peeking his head out the door leading outside for a few moments. As soon as he looked back inside, Jun saw his face and upper uniform were completely soaked.

"Looks like there's a pool out there, though...it's probably best we don't go out there. Don't question it." Jinta sighed as he looked back to the door they entered through. "Shall we?"

A bad mistake on Yume's part, it was... The scissor blades pierced through her stomach like a knife through butter, as the child drove the tips of the blade straight through. Now, Yume's stomach was beginning to pour with blood, as the child took a few steps back to admire her handiwork...

It might not have occurred to them earlier, however this child WAS missing the top half of her head, and therefore missing her ears. She didn't hear a word neither Yume nor Kiku said and thought they'd resorted to suicide. A rather wise choice, in the young girls eyes (or lack thereof), as she knew their fates were predetermined. However, she didn't expect what had happened next...

Music could be heard in the distance... It was easily distinguishable as a certain song often played by a certain classmate of Kiku and Yume. It was extraordinarily loud. There was no mistaking who this was...

"Yume!"

Shirako darted around the corner and sprinted into the room with Yuke and Kiku. Something in one of his pockets flashed a pinkish-purple glow, revealing a brilliant light. As the light dimmed, the ghosts disappeared, leaving the three alone inside the classroom...

Within the cupboards and shelves of the Infirmary, Eien found practically everything he may need: bandages, rubbing alcohol, a variety of painkillers, among other medicines. There appeared to be a rather large stock of things, too, so running out of supplies mid-treatment could be erased from his worries.

Still, Mayuri's condition wasn't to be overlooked in the slightest. Her breathing had grown shallow now, growing more ghastly and ominous by the second; clearly a sign that her health was deteriorating. The wound on the back of her head was now spilling blood over the clean white sheets of the Infirmary bed, soaking it like a sponge in water. If he didn't do something soon...

His thoughts were interrupted by a very loud "Thump!" that had come from just outside the Infirmary. Investigation proved to be futile, however, as the being that had presumably made the noise came into view...

...It was the girl from before...

Yet somehow, she seemed...different? For starters, the girl wasn't covered in blood, with the only exception being her wrists which had been slashed open. This quite severe-looking flesh wound was accompanied by haphazardly-wrapped bandages which carelessly slid from her wrists to the floor below, stained with blood. She appeared to fatigued: her body swayed back and forth in the doorway, using it as a temporary support, before she stumbled back into the Infirmary, collapsing to the floor as she did so.

"He....lp.... Me....." The girl cried, as she curled up on the floor just in front of where Eien was standing. It seemed the blood that poured from her wrists was going just as fast as Mayuri's blow to the head...

"A-Ah...!"
The sharp blade pierced through the girl's stomach as blood escapes from her mouth and stains all over her uniform and slowly dripped to the ground.
Yume paused and looked down at the lower part of her body. Tears started to escape from her eyes as she looked up at the spirit who seemed to enjoy the moment with evil laughter filling the room.
'Aah... n-no..."

I was suppose to help you all. I wanted to help you all.
will this be.... my..?

"Yume!
A familiar voice dashed inside the room and the spirits suddenly disappeared along with the scissors. Yume fell down to the ground, holding the part where she got stabbed, trying her best to stop the flow. She looked up and was utterly glad to see Shirako. At least in her final moment, she got to see someone.....

Kiku.....what about Kiku.....?
The pain was unbearable and excruciatingly painful. Her breathing and vision then started to slow and blur.
"Kik-... Ki...ku...!" She hoarsely called out.

-Eien : Heavenly Host = Infirmary-

Eien smiled in victory as he found the items of interest, and quickly moved over to Mayuri with the supplies. He wasn't that good with dealing with wounds on people, but he needed to do his best to help the girl. He quickly rushed over to the girl who was soaking the bedsheets with her blood. He got out the pain killers, the adrenaline doing the thinking for him and took out one pill. He didn't bother reading how many he had to give to her, and he pondered on if one pill would do. Before he could come up to a conclusion, he heard a thumping from the outside of the room. His heart froze in fear as he turned to see that the being who made its way in. His eyes widened in surprise to find that it was the girl who attempted to murder the two of them... Except she wasn't drenched in blood. He didn't know where to be afraid or feel sympathetic for the girl but he knew this - she had it bad as Mayuri. He didn't know whether he should help her or let her bleed to death due to previous transpiring events, but he knew he had to focus on Mayuri first.

"(I have no idea what her game is, and I don't know if she'll assault the two of us again with scissors. I'll tend to Mayuri first, and then deal with that chick... Honestly, I hope she doesn't pull the same trick again, because either way, I'm forced to deal with her one way or another.)"

He quickly turns his attention back to Mayuri, reprocessing his thoughts on if he should give her the pain killer, and dumped the pill back into the tiny jar. He decided to use the alcohol to clean the wound, so he tore off a piece of the gauze and began applying the rubbing alcohol to it. He then lifted the girl, the blood still flowing from her head, and quickly cleaned her wound. He then put the bandage over the wound, wrapping the gauze around her head a few times until he was sure that it would stop the bleeding. Eien then tied it up, which resulted in a little pressure on the back of her head due to the tightening. Hopefully this would keep her from bleeding out, and he sighed in relief that he had quickly dealt with the wound. He then pivoted around to face the girl who was still profusely bleeding.

"(Ok, so shes bleeding at the wrists, however this might be just a big illusion in an attempt to get her to stab me... Hmm...)"

He pondered on this and quickly grabbed a few painkiller pills, and popped them into his pocket. He needed to deal with her, but how? As he quickly ponders on this, he came up with a rather simple plan that could easily deprive her of using her hands and could stop the blood flowing out of her at the same time.

He would quickly reached down in an attempt to apprehend her to keep her from trying to stab him. If successful he would hold both of her wrists with one hand, and attempt to balance himself using his free hand. Once he did so, he would lower himself until the hands were a few inches away from his chest. He would then let go, and then let go over he hands and press his chest against her hands so she wouldn't try to stab him. Once he does this, he would use the free hand to grab ahold of the girls back and would bring her upwards with her near his chest. This would keep her wrists from bleeding out temporarily most likely. He would then slip his hand under her legs and carry her over to one of the remaining beds and would set her down gently before quickly push in himself away from here. Those were the events that played out in his head as he approached her. If she tried anything as he bent over to help her, he would kick her away be for she could try murdering him.

He looked over the bleeding person, and began to bend over to help her, and perform the events that he had played out in his head. He made sure to take caution, as anything could happen as he was doing this.

((I understand that this sounds perverted and sketchy as hell, but trust me it isn't. Also, the trying to get the ghost girl up is an attempt if he is successful. Don't know what your going to do, but left the last part free so you could do whatever... Also, i've prepped him for the worst the time just in case she tries to kill him.))

There was nothing else in the room to use as a makeshift bandage, and, thinking on his feet, he only did what he thought would work. In a matter of seconds, a tight yet temporary bandage made of Shirako's shirt had been wrapped around Yume. Takamoto hoped it would stop or at least slow the blood flow...

"Kiku!" Shirako called with haste. "We need to reach the Infirmary! It's in the east hall on the second floor." Shirako then lifted Yume up onto his shoulders, though it was obvious that he couldn't hold her weight for long, at least not without Kiku's support. "C'mon, I can't have you two dying on me too!"

Jun waits for Jinta, before wrapping her arms around his waist."...th-thank you for before, when you rescued me. That...and...your entire upper half is wet. Is it raining outside?"

"Y-yeah," Jinta replied a little uneasily. Her sudden hug took him off-guard momentarily, though, as usual, he quickly regained his composure. He shook his head. "It's only natural to save someone you care for. I didn't have a choice in saving you. As for whether or not it's raining...." Jinta pointed to the window, which had, evidently, been showcasing the downpour for however long they'd been in the room. "I got a drink. That rainfall...you could probably drown in it if you were half retarded." He chuckled slightly at his own silly joke, awaiting Jun's reply.

-Eien : Heavenly Host = Infirmary-Eien smiled in victory as he found the items of interest, and quickly moved over to Mayuri with the supplies. He didn't know whether he should help her or let her bleed to death due to previous transpiring events, but he knew he had to focus on Mayuri first."(I have no idea what her game is, and I don't know if she'll assault the two of us again with scissors. I'll tend to Mayuri first, and then deal with that chick... Honestly, I hope she doesn't pull the same trick again, because either way, I'm forced to deal with her one way or another.)"He quickly turns his attention back to Mayuri, reprocessing his thoughts on if he should give her the pain killer, and dumped the pill back into the tiny jar. He then pivoted around to face the girl who was still profusely bleeding."(Ok, so shes bleeding at the wrists, however this might be just a big illusion in an attempt to get her to stab me... Hmm...)"He pondered on this and quickly grabbed a few painkiller pills, and popped them into his pocket. If she tried anything as he bent over to help her, he would kick her away be for she could try murdering him.He looked over the bleeding person, and began to bend over to help her, and perform the events that he had played out in his head. He made sure to take caution, as anything could happen as he was doing this.((I understand that this sounds perverted and sketchy as hell, but trust me it isn't. Also, the trying to get the ghost girl up is an attempt if he is successful. Don't know what your going to do, but left the last part free so you could do whatever... Also, i've prepped him for the worst the time just in case she tries to kill him.))

Remarkably, his plan went off without a hitch. Aside from the occasional moaning and groaning of evident pain and discomfort, Eien successfully managed to get the young girl from the floor to the bed. Her wrists were still bleeding, though, and would need bandaging. Oddly enough when Eien came in contact with the person, she felt remarkably cold, with only the slightest tinge of warmth. He was also able to assess the girl was completely unarmed, unlike the girl they faced before with the pair of scissors...

Mayuri's condition appeared to become more stable after the application of medicines and bandages to stop the blood flow, however it may take some time for her to regain consciousness, and perhaps even longer to fully recover. Her figure appeared so peaceful as she lay there, despite everything that'd happened...

Now Eien could finally get a good look at the Infirmary, as all the drama had died down. The place was just as rundown as the rest of the building, obviously, with the oh exception being the medicines and the bedding, which both appeared to have withstood the test of time. A broken down space heater lay beside some curtain racks with a small table, which held numerous dental utensils. Two cupboards were set against the northern wall, flanking a large oak desk with a peculiar looking book atop it. Oddly, if Eien were to try and open the book, it would remain in place as though it were a part of the desk itself...

In the corner of the room, a small candle burnt, igniting the room in a dim yet workable light. The candle seemed quite familiar with Eien (whether or not he could make out whose candle it is is up to you).

"...s-sorry if I can't think about the weather instead of...not dying," she smirks. "Or...thinking of ways to repay you. I know you try to hide it, but I know you're a good kid."

Standing a few inches taller than him, Jun seemed...older. She was only what would be equivalent to a sophomore in the US, and she certainly wasn't as smart as a young adult, but her referring to her peers as...children, not equals, and paired with her...developed stature...

"...thank you, Jinta."

This one felt genuine.

"Damn, why do you have to be so freakin' tall? I feel like I'm a Merry Midget talkin' to Snow White or somethin'." Jinta chuckled as he nervously scratched the back of his head, his eyes failing to make contact momentarily. "It was nothin'. And you don't need to bother 'bout repaying my ass until we get outta this hellhole, 'kay?" He beamed a smile and nodded. "Now, let's go find our fri-"

Jinta seems to have cut himself off.... He looks like he's on alert...

"You heard that?"

Kiku felt a chill and then heard something behind him. The sound of stabbing and next Yume's voice, could it be...? "Y-Yume!" Trying to turn around quickly, he fell to the ground instead. "Y-Yume! Speak to me! A-Are you alright?!" Doing all these made the beating of his heart more unbearable. All sorts of things came into his mind, and all were not good. 'I-I need to be there for Yume...!'

Quickly, ignoring his condition, he stood up and went beside where Yume is. "Move aside!!" he shouted at the ghosts. Kiku didn't care anymore whether they were ghosts or humans, what they did to her is something he can't forgive. Carefully holding her, he noticed the bleeding on her stomach, a severe one. He panicked, not sure what to do. "A-AH...! Hang in there!" Remembering what he saw people did in these situation, he placed both of his hands on the wound, trying to stop the flow of the blood.

Suddenly, music can be heard from outside. The tune was something familiar, usually he heard it from a certain someone."Yume!" shouted someone from the outside. Might it be him? "S-Shirako! Over here!" calling to him, he felt more glad that someone else appeared. Though, the situation with the girl before him isn't getting any better.

Shirako entered and something glew in his pocket. The spirits reacted to this as they disappeared with the dimming of the light. "Kik-... Ki...ku...!" a hoarse voice spoke to him. "I'm here! You'll be alright! Shirako is here now as well!" Kiku couldn't help letting his tears flow. "Shirako...!" he called to him for help. He quickly went to her and turned his shirt into a temporary bandage. Hopefully it'll help stop the blood from flowing. Shirako then told him, they need to go to the infirmary right now which is on the second floor. Kiku nodded and let him carry her on his shoulders, "C'mon, I can't have you two dying on me too!" Kiku, with the best of his abilities, supported Shirako. Both of them carried her right away carefully. "Let's go!" he said.

On the way to the infirmary, Kiku's pulse kept increasing as they brought Yume to the infirmary. 'T-This isn't good... I need to last until.. Yume's brought to safety...' They reached the stairs at last. A little bit more and everything would be better. Continuing, he felt more dizzy now as his condition worsened. "N-Not now..." he said in a whisper as his breathing became more ragged. He remembered reading something about the heart exploding a while after a continuous palpitation. Kiku hoped that wouldn't happen to him. As they went down the corridor, a sign saying 'infirmary' could be seen. "T-There...! That's... it right..?!" As they got close to the door, Kiku suddenly fell, but managed to prevent himself from falling completely. "G-Go...! I'll stay here for a bit... I'm just.. a bit.. tired.." he said in pauses as he carefully let Shirako carry her alone. Waiting for the both to go in, Kiku lied beside the door as he tried to calm down and relax. 'Hang in there Yume...' he thought as he closed his eyes.
