"Fair enough..." He says in agreement, shutting his eyes, the howling of the wind ringing in his ears. "What are you even doing?" He spoke to her in a questioning tone, unsure what she was going to do. A sharp growl escaped the wolf the moment his wound was touched, he wanted to retaliate with violence but he willed himself to not. "I-..." He was going to thank her but He was cut off by her next command, without questioning he opened his mouth, revealing his sharp teeth to her.

Sora and Midori both noticably heard the screeches of the falcons. Sora gave a quick glance at Midori, as if to ask her what to do. Midori just tilted her head and smiled to him. Sora sighed, trying to relax. "Yes Mayura, we know them, but not in a good way. I don't know if you should worry about it. We simply just need to stay away from them." He said, furtively glancing around. He seemed very on edge, especially now that he knew those damned falcons were on the hunt. Midori, still having a smile plastered across her face, was glancing around admiring the new forest. It wasn't too much different than their home, but the species around were very different. "So umm... What are you mister?" She tried not to sound rude but ended up sounding naive. Midori's happiness wasn't a fascade but she was very scared of the falcons.

"I didn't leave my warren." Leon retaliated angrily. "I was chased out of it. All because of the special power I have." He held up one of the blades, putting it back down, for his arms couldn't handle the strain.

Hikaru stepped up to Leon's side. He looked at the husky and fox in anger. "He was kicked out of his warren, okay? I'm a runaway slave, to boot! We've been through a lot, and we don't want trouble. Got it?" Hikaru's voice became calmer as he finished. He then summoned three swords around him, looking at the mysterious duo with gritted teeth. "Unless you have business to do with us." he growled.

'Shush.' she said sharply as she worked. She poured the warm water into his opened muzzle and her shadows vanished as she put her herbs back in her bag.
'Swallow. Then you can open your eyes.' she stated.
'Once you can move properly I will escort you to a small cave nearby.'

"Well if you guys need help, I love to help. What is the situation? I would recommend explaining fast, it seems they're on their way," replied Mayura. He noticed Sora getting very ansy, so he figured something was off in the whole situation. He was hoping he could calm anything between the two groups, but was ready for anything. "Ah yes, I am a peacock. I do believe they are rare as I have never met another besides my parents. I recognize that Sora is a crow, but I have never encountered a bird like yourself, Midori," explained Mayura in response to her. Mayura has always been curious and interested in learning as much as possible on his path to enlightenment. It would be many years before he could ever wish to fulfill the role of his master.

Sora looked down at himself for a moment as if avoiding to glare at Mayura. He didn't feel such a bird would be much of a help in this sort of situation. After all, the peacock wasn't a bird recognized for its aggression. Midori on the other hand seemed very open to the peacock. "Okay! If you are going to help then..." Midori quickly paused, glancing at Sora, who just tilted his head slightly signaling to do as she wished. Smiling, Midori turned her head back towards Mayura, "Those birds sort of owned us like slaves. Sora was nice enough to help me escape with him!" There was a small hop in her step as she talked about her benefactor, Sora. "We need to avoid them at all costs at the moment..." Sora said, averting his eyes again. He wasn't the most conversational of birds.

"Oh me?" Midori asked as Mayura speaks as if she has never met an owl. Midori did not find this quite strange as she was originally nocturnal and the only owl in their tribe. At least, the last living owl. "I am a Barn Owl, Tyto Albus." She tilts her head to the side in excitement to teach someone else. Midori was used to a life of learning and being the underdog, so she jumped at the chance to be an educator.

As Midori introduced herself to Mayura, he heard the cries of the falcons' as they swooped under the treeline. Mayura turned to face the aggressors, Slavers, huh? What a horrible way to exist in this life. Jai Shri Krishna. He looked behind him with glaring intent in his eyes. "No more running you guys, starting today we work together. I hope I can help you find what you are looking for," he said with a passion in his voice.

He turned to face the aggressors, "It looks like we'll have to fight this one. I'd rather not waste diplomacy on the grunts of your opposition" His tail quickly opened up, displaying the beautiful colors of his feathers. The light reflected off of the gold and purple, creating a holy light around Mayura. He focused all of his eyes on the leader, Ranthar. "Om Tat Sat," he whispered as he offered this sacrifice to his god, Krishna. As the falcons approached, the leader suddenly burst into flames from the inside out. By the time the pack reached the trio of birds, Ranthar was nothing but a pile of ash.

"Hmm..." he grumbled as he was quieted by the female, he wasn't sure how to feel, being so helpless in this state and all. He immediately began to drink the warm water that poured into his mouth, the warmth at least doing something for his freezing body, he had been so damaged he was lacking his natural resistance to the cold. After consuming all of the water he opened his eyes to greet the fox. He only nodded in agreement to her words, now he had to wait, minutes became hours as his wounds got less painful, now he thought would be the time to try moving. Using his front paws to raise his massive body up, his hing legs started to support him as well. "There...." He sighed, his powerful demeanor presented toward the fox as he stood tall.

It seemed the warm mixture began to do it's work, healing his wounds and soothing the pain as well as warming his body.
She walked around the wolf and dug a small canal around his body to make a wall of snow and hold back most of the lashing wind.
She sat back calmly and waited, after all time was all he needed now to recover.

After a while it seemed he felt better and she stood back a bit as he got up. 'Can you walk?'

Sora noticed the falcons nearing. He didn't want to protest as Midori talked to Mayura, so he got very antsy. Pacing back and forth, Sora kept glancing at the sky. He knew they needed to move, yet he wasn't the conversationalist of the two. He just couldn't force it out. Midori just held her conversation with Mayura until she too noticed the screeches getting closer and closer. It was then that the falcons breached the treeline. Sora jumped into a battle stance in front of Midori and Mayura. Midori soon joined his side ready to fight.

As the falcons landed, Sora turned his eyes to Mayura, who seemed to be chanting some spell as if taunting the enemy. Sora held his wing back as if to guard Midori from the illumination from Mayura's feathers. Midori gasped as Ranthar burst ablaze. Sora on the other hand, saw an opportunity. He hopped into a glide as everyone was focused on Ranthar, landing near one of the minions and slashing at him with his talons. Blood spilled in the air and Sora didn't simply stop after one slash. He soon finished the minion off soon enough and nodded to Midori as if to notify her about something. Midori then knew that what to do and also attacked the other falcon with her talons only. They both seemed very adept at fighting his only their talons.

Mayura watched as the two ripped apart the falcons with their talons. Kind of messy, but I guess it works. Perhaps I can teach them vital points and quick killing, thought Mayura. He decided to burn the bodies so no trace could be found. "Om Tat Sat," he whispered as he melted the bodies to ashes. He turned back towards Sora and Midori.

"It looks like you two know how to fight quite well. Where did you learn that?" he asked, curious about different fighting techniques. As he was listening to the response, he decided to scan the area for food. Again opening his tail in a 180 degree dome shape he began his search. I don't know when the last time these guys ate was, but I won't wait to find out. He gave a cheery smile to his new friends.

Marcus' legs wobbled a bit, his massive tree trunk-like legs threatening to buckle from underneath caused him to let out a pained grunt. "I'm fine, I can walk.." He groaned, limping along somewhat as he walked, he wasn't going to die thankfully, he was just hurting. He glanced back at the vulpine female, his entire body blocking the natural trail created by foot traffic as he looked at her.

Mina watched the wolf carefully as he struggled to stand up. He seemed wobbly and weak on his legs, which was no surprise to Mina as she judged the weight of his body. Luckily the male wolf managed to get up on his feet and, though he wobbled a bit, didn't look like he would collapse.
She gave a faint nod and trotted ahead a bit, gesturing forward with her head. 'This way, come.' she started walking towards the cave she had mentioned.

During their walk Mina remained mostly silent, glancing back at the male to see how he was doing. He faired pretty well in her eyes and it wasn't long before a shallow cave was in sight. 'It's right there, just a few minutes more.' she said to her wounded company, mostly as incouragement.

"Hmmph..." He grumbled quietly, not mind the fact of her brushing past him, her fur was very soft, like a silk material, he shook his head for a second to stop his mind from drifting off. The walk was somewhat tiresome, which made sense seeing that he was injured and all. He truly didn't mind trailing behind her, watching her body move in fluid motions, glancing up at her every moment she looked back. "So you say..." He said with a light scoff, they had been walking for quite some time. He could note that's he was trying to encourage him to keep up, which he was, somewhat anyway. After a few more moments of walking they finally arrive at the cave's entrance.

She rolled her eyes faintly at the scoff she heard behind her. It seemed he was grumpy or tired from the walk, which made sense considering his situation. 'If you do not believe me, believe your eyes.' she stated in a faintly teasing manner as the cave was in sight.

Once they walked up the wolf would see a small bed of twigs and soft pine needles to lay down on, a tad small for his size, but big enough. 'You can rest on there.' she stated as she made another small wall of snow to block the wind from whipping at their fur too much.

Marcus looked down at the pile of pine needles, it was a small amount, only slightly as large as his making him huff. "Fine." He grumbled, watching her make wall of snow as he lied down.on the small bed. "Thank you..." He said to her glad he wasn't being bothered by the elements as much. He gaze turned toward the cave the moment his ears picked up a distant howl that sounded melded with a roar. "Hmm..." He growled, licking his still present wound.

The huff she heard made her glance his way as she was setting up the wall of snow. It seemed he wanted to complain, but he held his tongue and simply lay down.
After making sure the wall was sturdy enough to hold she sat down in the opposite corner of the cave, leaving a few feet of space between them. She heard the howl in the distance, but ignored it for now. It was a good distance away and their scent was hard to track in this snow.
'So, what happened to you?' she asked, gesturing at his wounds before whipping her tail at his muzzle. 'Stop licking, it'll wipe away the herbs.' she said sternly.

Sora and Midori both watched in awe as the bodies were burned to a crisp by Mayura. "Heh." Sora grunted with pride as he heard Mayura praise them. He knew he was quite the fighter and he was glad to hear someone else praise him for once. He had to be the strongest, to protect her. He looked around the forest, still seeming to be on edge but definitely much more calm. He seemingly ignored the fact that Mayura was scanning around in a fashion that was new to him. He took it upon himself to also glance around, focusing in. He wasn't searching for food, but more foes.

Midori smiled at Mayura. "Thanks for the help! You are very strong!" She took a step back as the bodies were burned, not wanting to get burned herself. "Where did we learn to fight? Back in the tribe they taught us before they started working us... What about you? Where did you learn that?" Midori asked, referring to her Hissatsu. Sora would have done more talking if he knew Midori wouldn't have said everything for him.

Marcus watched her from the other side of the cave, they weren't very separated now that he thought about it, a soft sigh only escaping him as he went back to tending to his wound. A sharp yelp then a short growl sounding from him after,he shook his head and looked at her with alight annoyance. "Fine..." He said stubbornly I'm agreement, then he began to think about what had happened to him, shuddering a bit. "I was attacked..." He commented, not wanting to go any further into it.
