First off, this is not related to the video game "Okami" or the manga "Okami-san".

The rules are:
1. You can curse if you want to. Just keep it to a medium amount.
2. No Godmodding or Powermodding. But that's kinda obvious.
3. Romance and relationships are allowed- just keep it a PG-PG13 rating.

Second of all, welcome! This is the gateway to the realm of Darminia! In this realm, many of the beings roaming this world are animals. Cannot be mythological animals. I'm sorry.
They also have control over the seven elements: fire (can make explosions, imbue certain parts of the body- fangs, claws, ect.- with flame, make barriers, ect.), water (can make clones, freeze opposition, make barriers, shards, pillars, ect. out of nearby water), wind (can create hurricane-like winds, air bullets, imbue a slight period of flight, make barriers, ect.), earth (can make barriers, pillars, shards, ect. out of nearby earth), grass (control over plant life such as trees, roots, thorns, vines, ect. to make barriers or act as an extension of the user), light (blinding effects, refract nearby light of any kind to make objects), and darkness (includes shadows, barriers, cloning, and lightning).

The above in parenthesis are examples of the Hissatsus you can choose from. You can make your own, just be sure to make something that has some relation to one of the seven elements. If you want a power that someone already has, re-decide your Hissatsu and make a new one- unless the person who coined it allows you to use it. Sorry.

~Same thing goes for your special/finishing attack(s)- you get up to two, but be sure to include your Hissatsu in some way, shape, or form.~

Background: Isamu woke up one day, transformed into a wolf. He joined a guild called the Seekers to help others and find out what happened to him.

(Hissatsus drain the user of the ability to fight! If Isamu kept using his Hissatsu without caution, he could faint- or worse! Same goes for all of you RPers!)

Name - Slang

Animal - Dispholidus typus Snake

Gender - Male

Fur/feather/scale and eye color - A lime green, with black stripes. His eyes are yellow, with large black pupils.

Hissatsu - (Water) Liquids he comes in contact with flow more freely for a short amount of time. (I.E. Honey would flow faster, wounds would bleed more. etc.)

Item - Bandages wrap around some of his body that can be used to close wounds.

Personality - Slang acts like a trickster and a joker, as well as a risk-taker and a gambler. In reality he is fairly insecure, and needs someone close to him at most all times to feel safe. He enjoys water a lot, and when he is relaxing he is often doing so in a stream or lake.

Background - Slang didn't like his situation. He thought from day one that he had lost. He was the last born of his thirty brothers and sisters, and was remarkably saddened by being the youngest. He worked hard and faked hard in an attempt to supplant the firstborn, his sister Boom. He failed, but still fell back on the fact he at least had some that liked him. He eventually had to leave though, as his village was viciously cut down by a rival tribe, and the family that had survived split. He doesn't talk about it much, and will often lie about his previous adventures.

Fur/eye color: Chocolate-brown fur with green eyes.
Hissatsu: The ability to turn pebbles and rocks into up to five swords. Though it may seem powerful, he cannot use soil or any dirt-like substance. He can only use solid earth. This is troublesome in the forest, as there are little to no sources of earth. He normally uses one, and rarely goes up to five.
Item: A single brass earring in his right ear, a black silk vest and matching loincloth. Both articles of clothing have golden embroidery.
Personality: Serious, angry-sounding and bold. Always willing to help others, but doesn't take kindly to newcomers or anyone who seems like a threat. He has a habit of calling others weak.
Background: Leon doesn't like to talk to anybody about it; but two things happened to him that turned his personality sour. His sister, Rose, was killed in a Shade attack, led by a wolf named Ash. He was quickly banished afterwards from his rabbit warren because of his, quote-on-quote, "demon-like" power. They said it was unnatural, and that he was not a rabbit anymore.

These two events caused Leon to become reclusive, leaving him with no home, no friends, and a bitter personality.

Animal: Wolf
Gender: Male
Fur/eye color: Black fur with green eyes.
Hissatsu: The ability to refract light of any kind into up to six swords. He can then use them for any everyday thing- from combat to catching prey.
Item: None
Personality: Kind and caring. Always willing to help others. He is bright and cheerful, and doesn't like to fight or see fights happen. He will brawl when it is necessary.
Background: Hikaru escaped from his life as a slave and from his captors- a group called "Kangoku" (Japanese for prison). He roams the forest, looking for a place to call home.

Although he has gotten a little blood on his claws, he wishes nothing more than to do things over- maybe save his now-dead family.
He vows to help others in order to prevent them from turning to a life of evil because it happened once to his friend Kiba.

Anxius

Name: Anxius

Animal: Striped Hyena

Gender: Male

Fur/feather/scale and eye color: His fur is white with black stripes. His eyes are a dark brown.

Hissatsu (optional): Light: He is able to draw light from a certain location to his own eyes. This allows him to see almost anything but with a couple of restrictions; He is unable to see very far without strain on his eyes and *must* know exactly from where he is drawing the light. A side effect he has is a very vivid reflection of what he is looking at through the Hissatsu.

Item (optional): N/A

Personality: Anxius is quite a restless being. Constantly training or hunting, he dislikes sitting around not doing anything. He dislikes being alone, but his enemies would say otherwise. While he appreciates the company of his friends, he would like to do nothing but rip out the throats of his enemies.

Background: Anxius grew up in the arid deserts of the south. He was part of a hunting tribe. He quickly and easily learned how to hunt and cooperate with hunting partners. After years of hunting and training, he became one of the fastest, strongest, and quietest hunter in his tribe. However, his naivety soon brought his downfall.

A group of hyenas without Hissatsu began whispering amongst each other, but he never suspected what they would do. After a short while, he and his tribe were betrayed by the mysterious group. He barely escaped with his life. His heart broken for the fate of his tribe, he wandered from tribe to tribe, looking for a new home.

Soon, he began hearing rumors of the vast green north. They whispered of forests and grass covered hills. Finally deciding to trust the rumors, he began to travel north, surviving off of any herds of prey he found along the way.

He felt his heart healed when he met Malacia, a hyena who must have been separated from her tribe as well. He quickly helped her recover, as she was extremely weak. He brought her food and helped her walk to waterholes. It took a few days until she was back to normal. A strange trust developed between the two of them and, together, they continued his journey north for the green land.

Name: Malacia

Animal: Brown Hyena

Gender: Female

Fur/feather/scale and eye color: Her coat is a dark brown, with a light brown mane and legs. Her legs sport dark brown stripes.

Hissatsu (optional): N/A

Item (optional): She carries a necklace around her neck. On the front of the necklace hangs a circular block of wood on which the symbol of her tribe is carved.

Personality: A kind and playful soul, she preferred to play with the other cubs rather than hunt when she was young. She almost has a kind of motherly aspect, always worrying about others, scolding those who argue childishly, and enjoying taking care of young ones.

Background: Malacia grew up in a peaceful tribe. She had learned how to defend herself, but preferred to follow her hobbies rather than go out hunting.

One day, she awoke to find her entire tribe standing around a tall sloped stone. On top of the rock stood a large spotted hyena whom she didn't recognize. The hyena was in the middle of preaching something about Hissatsu and demons.

When the hyena finished, he barked out a command and watched as a large squad of henchmen moved into action. They collected almost two-thirds of her tribe and marched them away. She begged and pleaded for them to return her tribe members, but the hyenas ignored her. She kept yelling and crying until the large hyena turned and glared at her.

Another command was spoken, and she found herself fleeing from the tribe as a few of the henchman began chasing her. She lost them, but she herself was also lost. She wandered long and far and nearly died, but then she came across Anxius.

When he found her lying on the ground, he immediately told her to wait and ran away. He later came back, dragging a kill for her to feed on. It took her a few days to finally recover. She thanked him for everything and asked him if she could join him. He quickly accepted and the two of them began moving north. She never told him what happened to her tribe, and he never told her what happened to his tribe.

Hello guys! I'm new to forum RP, though I have played tabletop, mmo, and standard vidya rpg's my whole life. Valkyr, I love the twist in your characters' backgrounds. That's gonna be great to see develop.

Here is my character -

Name: Mayura
Animal: Peacock
Gender: Male

Feather & Eye Color: Standard peacock. Blue and green feathers, streaks of purple and brown. Golden "eyes" on the tail feathers. Eye color is pink (that of the lotus flower).

Hissatsu: Fire - Mayura "stares," with his tail flared, at an object or being. This causes the molecules in the object/being to vibrate to the point of bursting into flame. Drawback - all "eyes" must be staring at the object/being (unable to use Hissatsu while flying or if his tail cannot fully expose all "eyes").

Item: Golden necklace with an engraved Om symbol on an upside down triangle. This was given to him by his master, Paramatma. It is said to be created by the Supreme Personality of Godhead that enhanced the user in a unique way. This gives Mayura the ability to use the "eyes" on his tail to perceive through.

Personality: Extremely balanced. Anger, happiness, sadness, love, etc. have little affect on him. He is friendly, helpful, and knowledgable.

Background: He grew up in a distant land where money, Hissatsu, and strength were power. He lived in the forest with his parents. At a young age they knew that he had the powers of Hissatsu and sought the fabled master of Hissatsu. Upon finding him, Paramatma instantly knew the potential of young Mayura. After training for several years, Mayura's forest was attacked by a neighboring warlord, Masudeva, the reptile king. The student and master valiantly fought off the army for two days. On the third day Paramatma told Mayura to stay hidden in a nearby tree. He watched as Paramatma sat on the ground in a meditative position. The warlord was there personally that day. He asked the master if he had any last words. He replied, "The burning of a tree is not destruction, but the creation of new life." Masudeva then stabbed is tail through the neck of Paramatma. Mayura had never felt anger before, and cried out for the death of his master. When he awoke the forest was vaporized and only left charred ground for a few hundred yards in every direction of him. "What happened?" he asked. Remembering his master's last words he set out on a new life, vowing to return and bring peace and prosperity to all living creatures of his homeland.

Fur/feather/scale and eye color Grayish white fur (he can be mistaken for a wolf on a glance) And a Bright blue eye's.

Hissatsu: Shadow Walk: He can move at Extremely fast speeds While in darkness So fast it look's like he teleported However it only works in Shadows and darkness that is connected IF the shadow is Severed and hes going at such speed He will Crash due to losing control as the shadows also increase his reaction time.

Item: A Chain around his left ankle for a past crime he has escaped from

Personality:Brash And quick to anger He gets into Fights allot Tooth and claw he is a Skilled combatant Using fang and claw to parry and Bite. but in the dark his defensive strategy Turns 180 and become fully offensive with no defense His speed Allowing him to close gaps to keep up the pressure. He has lost most of the fights hes been in and all of them except 1 where during the day The one where he lost Was his old teacher who used to teach him Fighting skill.

Background: He seems To have a Hazy memory From Falling Off a Cliff and hitting his skull on a Rock as he fell He was comatosed for a week a Friendly Doe Catered to him But so far He has little memory's Including most of his combat skills His anger and frustation at the Terms of the events he is in has Made him seek fights with people He once found a old man Who unbeknownst to him Was his old teacher Who beat him with a inch of his life Even when it was night. Due to his teachers Hissatsu being a rare and powerful type... that is limited to only the strongest can yield without Dying

Finishers: (i read it carefully) Light's Bane: Using his Enhanced Speed He unleashes a Brutally Flurry of extremely fast attacks He has to rest for at least half a hour due to the strain
The 2nd one which is a last resort requires night time and a wall or vertical surface:Bloody Void Grabbing them He uses his Enhanced Speed To run vertically upwards Throwing them both into the air Making sure he is above the Target He Accelerates towards The Ground This causes a large amount of injury to both of them More so On the person on the bottom due to them taking most of the strain This Can leave him Comatose amnesiac heavily Injured Or in the best case's With a sprain leg

Hissatsu: Shroud of Flames: Her Hissatsu Involves Setting Herself Alight With Fire The flames don't Burn her But burn everything else around her Most people who view the flames Speak of them as beautiful or Elegant (she was forced to dance on fire For the crowd... during her time as a slave dancer) But Kaji has limits If she hits her limit The Fire begins to cause actually pain to her as well as everyone else and she fears that if she goes to far over the flames would kill her... She can't use her Hissatsu in water And it didn't help that shes a very bad swimmer and gets seasick easily if she is to cold she is also unable to use it

Item: she has some golden jewelry as shown in the pic from the time she was a Slave dancer

Personality: She is quiet and withdrawn Most of the time Due to her distrust of other people Cause of the events of her past. If one can (rarely) Get her trust She will be a Bit more open to them And a bit more loud And Joyful. She is Not a Fighter But she tries to be to protect what she believes in and to stop The People who want her back under their slavery Center.

Background: Her Childhood was simple playing in the field without a care with her older sister. But then the Slave Traders (both bear's) found them. They killed the older sister because she attacked and they Took Kaji away from her family And packed her into a Crate Where she was Shipped To a Growing town named WinterStock Due to the fact that most of their populice where winter faring animals such as wolfs and polar bears. She was Forced to go through the Slave Branding Process Leaving a Hammer shaped Scar on her left side (she Flares with anger if anyone points it out). She was Sold for a large sum to a High ranking Official of the town. Where she was forced to dance. When they discovered her hissatsu that forced her to dance to the ensamble of rich folk. She was treated Harshly if she spoke about her masters Problems. She met a Wolf slave that worked their named Fang Who she would trust and confide in for a couple of months then one day She spoke about escaping...

And she was punished for it Because Fang was the snitch to the master he was just pretending to be a slave for money. She was Sentence to Torture by her master Till Her spirit broke and she was obedient like she was supposed to be. it went on for 2 weeks But one day... Huskar was Enjailed Next to her. he had Beaten her masters Son Who had picked a fight with him In Single combat (Huskar beat him easily The Kid didn't even know how to fight) Huskar Was Chained and awaiting execution for supposedly attempting murder. "What you in for" He asked Kaji. Ignoring the guard who stood outside the twin cell's "Im in cause i thought i could trust someone and was Proven wrong you can't trust anyone" Kaji replied with disgust in her voice. "me im in Cause i beat a up the masters Son Who Tried to beat me at single combat..." Huskar said his eye turning towards the window at the slowly rising moon a Smile crept slowly over his face...

Huskar Fake Grimaced in pain. The Guard a boar with a spare Tapped his bars "Is everything alright" the boar Said Annoyed "It hurts So much" Huskar said through a Grimace as the Boar opened the door. "I don't think i can go on Kill me please" Huskar lied "With pleasure" The boar responded as it drove the spear to where Huskars head once was. Huskars Body Flickered As the spear Drove into the floor. Huskars Cage door swung shut as Huskar locked it with the key the boar left in the door. Huskar let out a Large Sigh as Kaji looked at him "Who the hell are you Dog" She Said Shocked at the event as her body ruffled with fire. "hey hey Calm I an't gonna Hurt you" Huskar said Slightly Clueless to why she was mad Did he do something before he fell off the cliff he couldn't remember Taking the keys for the door He unlocked her Cage

"Run i will distract them". and so he did Keji managed to escape And so did huskar Albeit a bit later and with a couple of injurys Huskar Lead her out of the town to a cave Where he collapsed. Keji looked at him he was fast asleep exhausted From his hissatsu. "Thanks anyway"" Keji said as she fell alsleep on the other side of the cave...
