Will we have the VR system be just headsets or will they be something like the NerveGear in SAO? Full-dive/nerve receptor type of deal? And will it be one system that everybody who plays has or will it be like a PC, which has all kinds of builds and things?

I'm thinking headsets like dot hack. I can't speak for SAO but dot hack's are fairly sleek and work with cell phones, PCs, laptops and consoles so they work if you want the keyboard or say, a controller. I figure it would also be accessible by other the other platforms which may be why the game has a new wave of people who just signed up?

Right, so it isn't "full dive" - they don't directly control the characters. They use the controller of whatever kind in order to move and use the characters. SAO uses a "console" that takes nerve impulses and intercepts them (sci-fi, lol), thus giving a "full immersion" game.

I wouldn't want that condoned in a mass game, not after a big war either. ^^; That happened on accident with dot hack...but that's not important. I'd say immersion with touch, taste, sound would work but not feeling, would that work maybe? So if there's "blood" in the air, you cam sort of taste it? Or if someone is really yelling at you over the mic, it's actual yelling (or something lol idk)?

No, no, no. No pain. XD I just meant full body control. Pain in game = pain irl would be waaayyy too much. The "full immersion" of intercepting nerve signals was just output. It would take the signals sent from your brain and put them into the game, for your avatar. Not the other way around.

So if you like thought 'move my arm' it would move it?

It would be just like putting yourself in the game. Just no pain, that's all. You wouldn't think "Move my arm" - you would just move your arm and rather than moving your real arm, the device would take that message and send it into the game. The science behind it isn't really... Real, I guess. I mean, obviously. In fact, making it work that way would be incredibly difficult and dangerous, considering it would be based on intercepting nerves and somehow converting the messages sent with them into data. However, that's the fun of sci-fi, isn't it? XD

Haha alright, seems pretty complex but I still doubt a massively popular game would want to put people inside a game (at least for our RP) since I think it would lead to some paranoia and plenty of risks and uber protective parents. XD

Word Doc or PM it to yourself usually works best but then again you may not always have the Doc on other computers.
