He was bored, and was just skipping rock after rock across the river, Choosing Day was tomorrow, or was it today? He didn't really know what he wanted to do, but he knew he wanted to become an apprentice. He got up and kept walking down the river, picking up stones a skipping them downstream, He came across a Shack. It looked pretty run down, so he was pretty sure nobody would mind if he just. Got on the roof for a moment, so that's what he did, jumped up, planted a foot on the side of the shack, and climbed his way to the roof. He stood up, and while it wasn't quite the view that he would have gotten from the top of the castle. It was nice anyways.
"Your in it. Todays the day of choosing. Is that the reason your here?" Dust takes a step towards him and winces as pain shoots up his right leg. He quickly shoves his hand in one of his pockets pulling out a dandelion leaf which he quickly consumes to help ease the pain in his leg.
Eamon nearly chokes.
"Whar--really? I mean, aye, that's why I'm 'ere." He grins and heart palpitates a little with a bout of relief, but the grin fades at the other's expression of pain. He walks over to the white-haired boy and cocks his head to look at him better. "You alright, sham?"
He hesitantly puts a hand on the other's shoulder. "Bad knees? You need a stick or something?"
"Whar--really? I mean, aye, that's why I'm 'ere." He grins and heart palpitates a little with a bout of relief, but the grin fades at the other's expression of pain. He walks over to the white-haired boy and cocks his head to look at him better. "You alright, sham?"
He hesitantly puts a hand on the other's shoulder. "Bad knees? You need a stick or something?"
"I'm fine. When I was little my sister pushed me into a bear trap which easily broke the bone. It never healed correctly so it hurts from time to time." Dust smiles at him giving his hand. "Dust." "Golden!" The bird in Dust's pocket's said making Dust chuckle. "Yes your name is Golden." Dust motioned towards the brown haired women. "She's Ash the healing master."

"Yeah. Welcome to Redmond." His eyes drift to the ground rubbing his arm. "Yeah." Most of the time when people heard about his sister they pityed him. Dust doesn't want pity, he wants to be considered normal which would be almost impossible given his appearance.

Dust doesn't say anything staring at the ground, lost in thought. Under his breath he repeats the names of at lest 15 different herbs saying their uses, using the repatison as a calming method.

Thea spotted a blonde boy atop the roof of a small shack on the outside of the courtyard. She decided to go up, as there wasn't much better to do, and the space would be nice. Thea wove through the crowd and soon made it to the shack. She pulled herself on top of it, grunting slightly as she swung up. Soon she was on the roof, and she walked up beside the boy, "Nice view"

Angus stepped down from the carriage and looked about. The marketplace was dusty, as usual, and several banners declared that it was indeed choosing day. The tall lad knew the way to the castle, since he had come here many times before with his father, but decided that a few minutes spent in the town would not be amiss. The sun was bright in the sky, and the first warm breezes of summer blew past his short hair. Sounds of a busy market filled his ears, children calling cheerfully to each other in a game of hide-and-go-seek, an older woman haggling with the baker over his daily loaves, and the creaking wheels of his carriage pulling away. He waved goodbye to the coachman, and felt a mix of elation and hesitancy. This would be the first time he was away from his family, and even though the Baron Redmont was like an uncle to him, Angus would likely be spending much of his time outside of the castle. A knot of strangers by the message board caught his attention, a lady in a green cloak and two foreigners. They looked like they were arguing about something, so Angus left them alone. The baker had finished his haggling, and the woman left with two loaves under an arm. Angus stepped over to the front of the bakery and asked for a sweetroll. He wasn't hungry, but a roll might help ease the gnawing in his stomach.
"And never ever forget that you can only consume the flower and the berries of the elder bush. Never forget that fact Dust. Never." After Dust whispered that he came back to reality. "S-sorry. I sometimes do that. Sorry." He said to Ash looking rather embarrassed.

Ash shook Eanons hand and nodded to Dust telling him to follow ash "well Eanon I am afraid I have a few things to do" Ash said to eanon and walked to a medicine store gesturing Dust to follow

Gilfrod grinned as he waded through the market place, he had always loved Choosing Day, it brought potential students from all over and to top it off there was great food everywhere. His eye’s wandered around until he found something cheap and delicious, and he noticed a small bakery with a lad front of it. Perfect he thought to himself a chance to get another recruit and to get some good grub he walked over and talked to the baker over the kids head, "Hey get me two sweet rolls would ya, one for me and one for the kid here." Gilford handed one of the rolls to the laddy with a grin, "Food's on me, you going to be applying for Battle school today kid?
"Eamon, actually. AYY-mon. It's been nice meeting ye as well." Eamon shrugs and grins. The two seem very nice, if not a little over-concerned with plants.
"I'll, uh, be taking me leave too. G'luck!"

Redmont was an important fief in Araluen, and he'd heard the tales of a castle that glowed like fire opal under the sun--profit was to be had here and he wasn't about to pass it up. Taking note of an inn a few blocks down, he set out to find the place of choosing, wondering whether a form of application was required or not.

Jace was enjoying the sun, sprawled across the roof. He was right about to doze off when a voice startled him out of his sleep. "Holy Shi-" He jumped up, then the girls face, and beautiful red hair. "I mean, yeah it's a great view!" He extended his hand. "Hi, I'm Jace." He hoped this would be the beginning of a great friendship.
"Thea," Thea said with a grin, taking his hand and shaking it. She laughed, "And I apologize if I almost made you jump off the roof. I've heard it's not too good for one's health to fall from a roof." She looked out at the mass of people, "So, what are you hoping to do at the Castle?" She asked, tucking back a strand of curly red hair only for it to spring back rebelliously.
"S-sure" Dust said to Ash pauseing a few seconds before following her. "Do you think that maybe after this that we can get something to eat?" He asks not only wanting to elevate his hunger but to also try tonsee some other people.

The boy stepped to the side and looked up at the older man. Angus was taller than all of the boys his age, and even some men, but the armored newcomer towered over him by a head. "Thank you, sir. I wasn't planning on battleschool." he replied to the knight's question. "Fighting isn't exactly my strong suit." Noting the crest on the man's cloak, Angus asked, "You wouldn't happen to be the battlemaster, Gilfrod, would you? The Baron mentioned you several times in his letters. Said you were 'a regular giant', if you pardon my humor."
"Yeah, falling off the roof would probably be pretty bad." He said scratching his neck. "Definitely something on the sea." He said, "I mean I would be happy for a little bit cleaning the ships at port and whatnot. But I want to explore to new lands, and the seas." He said looking to the nearest ocean. "But enough about me, what about you?" He asked looking into he eyes.
