[OOC] Piracy in the Caribbean

The classic era of piracy was in the Caribbean, circa 1650 until the mid-1720s. By 1650, France, England and the United Provinces began to develop their colonial empires. This involved considerable seaborne trade, and a general economic improvement: there was money to be made, OR STOLEN, and much of it traveled by ship.
Many became famous attacking ships in the Caribbean, we are not exception, on board of our ship the Bloody Tear we are ready to cause some trouble so then we can take what we stole to Nassau, and sell it.

Weapons: Sabre and 4 Flintlocks , all these weapons are from when she was in the spanish navy

Position in the crew: Quartermaster

Bio (optional): Liliana was born in a rich merchant family of Spain, there she learnt many kind of things but more importantly to read and write, this gave her a great advantage in her future. Since young Lilina showed a great interestin learning how to use the sabre and so her father hired a swordmaster to teach her. While growing up Liliana's family suffered an economic crisis and so they ended in bankrupt, Lilina had no other choice but to join the spanish navy, there she got famous due to her skill with the sabre, however she felt she was being looked down because she ws a woman, and so 3 years later she deserted and ended up in Nassau, where she joined Maya's crew where her skills are appreciated

Biography: "Momma, when is Papa coming home?"

Winifred tugged at the corner of her mother's apron. The large, strong woman stared out of the kitchen window with a blank and empty stare. There was no reply. There never would be. It had been an entire year since Winifred's father had gone to sea. Rumor had it that he made some true riches in the new booming market and left his family behind, off to find something better- if you could call it that. Some claimed he had just died a watery death, like most men did during these times. It wouldn't be the first time news traveled back to their small town of another taken.

A few years before that the Argall family was happy and complete. Mr. Argall would go on his boat trips, come home after many of months with money, treasures, and exciting stories. Little Winnie would crawl into her father's strong arms, her large lavender eyes looking at him in complete awe as he showcased his life before her. He was her hero, and she was his princess.

Years and years passed and Winifred got older, the stories still remained in the whispered slurs. "Did you hear her father left the two women alone to fend for themselves? I heard he has a wife and child in every city from here past Barcelona!" These stories brought only anger to Winifred. She had a feeling her father was alive, and nothing would stop her from proving it. Often being spotted with and around the boys, she spent a lot of time learning to swim, sail, fish, and fight. Though her mother didn't say so directly, Winnie could feel in her mother's icy stares that she didn't want her only daughter, her only family member left to even think about stepping foot near the water ever again. But time after time and day after day, Winnie swam, sailed, fished, and fought.

It wasn't a huge surprise when Mrs. Argall passed away. She was tired, her heart was broken, her will to live was gone. Winifred took it upon herself to make a living, taking up jobs here and there to support herself and make her mother rest in her grave easily. That was until she was given the chance to be a member upon an outgoing ship, boy.. would her mother be thrashing that night! Visiting the cemetery one last time before her departure Winifred begged for forgiveness, "Momma.. I know you never talked to me after Papa's death. But, I think I know what you wanted to say after all these years.. I love you too, I promise you I will be safe." and with that, she took to sea.

Winifred has been on two ships prior to the joining of Maya's crew.

Country Jamaica (Spain)
Weapons: 2 wheellock pistols, a pistol saber affectionately named "Isabel", and an axe that he used when he worked.
Position in the crew: Master Gunner
Bio (optional): Born a slave in Jamaica during the Spanish control of the island. He spent most of his life in chains under the ownership of a rich Spanish planter. Even from a young age he was shown to be very strong and durable. Some of the older slaves had told him that his father was a proud warrior, others a strong king, Whatever it was he was truly a fine specimen in the eyes of his master A man who thrived on wealth and power ,he constantly paraded Agwe around in front of his company as his "León" He cared not for the "favoritism" that his owner showed him and held a hatred for the man all the same.

Without Isabel, Agwe grew older as did his hatred of being a captive and his rage. His Master broke the last straw when he had his mother beaten for not working fast enough, and she was beaten so severely she died. Enraged and impassioned by his mother's death, Agwe stormed the house with his axe. Despite his young age, he had managed to rally the rest of the slaves with his act and they joined in attacking all the overseers and staff. Agwe killed every man that stood in his way until he reached his master who came at him with his prized sword that had a pistol constructed into it. Agwe cut him down violently and kept on until the house burned to ashes and reinforcements arrived to quell the uprising. By the time they arrived he was long gone taking with him: money, his masters sword and pistols, and his freedom. After the event he became known as El Leon Negron and tales of him passed around the Island like a ghost story some saying he took the form of a lion to evade capture and kill any who came across him others saying he had made a pact with the Devil. In truth he was hiding out with the occasional robbery of some foolish merchants and travelers who just happened to get close enough until he could afford passage off on a ship. Even with the British controlling the island now he was still a wanted man, so he joined up with Maria as apart of her crew.
