Name: Therra Garren Species: Human (Mandalorian)Age: 25Gender: FemaleAppearance: Height: 5'5Weight: 105 Lbs out of armorApparel: Mandalorian armor, underneath a drab brown colored tunic and pants Weaponry: Modified DC-15 that can act as a carbine or sniper rifle, a blaster pistol, a hold out blaster pistol in her boot, and a vibroknifeEquipment: Grappling hook in her left gauntlet.Personality: Despite being a Mandalorian, Theera has a warm personality and is friendly to everyone she meets often greeting everyone with a smile, Therra is devoted to her work and her rifle calling it her "Husband" she will do anything to ensure the job get's done and during her job is the only time she shows no emotion and no mercy, deep down inside she's been hurt by past events and that friendly demeanor is her way of shielding herself from peoples probing. Skills: Her chief skill is long distance combat she will sometimes stay in the same spot for days or weeks setting up the perfect shot, expert with pistols, close combat expert, medical expert.Flaws: Her knowledge of technology is "If you hit it hard enough it will work.", she is no linguist knowing only mandalorian and common, and her knowledge of first aid doesn't extend beyond bandaging Bio: Born the youngest of three on Mandalore, Theera was always the tom boy, and always eager to please. Her father taught her everything a young mandalorian would need to learn how to take a hit, and to learn how to fight. She was trained from the age of six until she was fifteen, it was then that a rival clan decided to attack the Garren clanstead. They shot her father and her two brothers dead, they trapped her and her mother inside their homestead and torched it. If it wasn't for the quick thinking of her mother getting her outside and sacrificing herself to save Therra, then she wouldn't be here.Therra swore revenge, donning her armor and taking up her fathers rifle she went on the hunt. She found the rival clan and waited weeks, watching them and stalking them. Then the perfect chance came and she took it. She killed every single member of the rival clan before they could even pin down her location. Her revenge sated she found herself hollow and alone with nowhere to go. She became clanless and she wandered Mandalore. It was during this wandering phase where she met a team of bounty hunters who wished came to the planet to collect a bounty, she asked if she could help and they took her along with them.On this merry crew she became their marksmen always backing them up even in the worse of situations, along with backing them up she got to know the crew and fell in love with the captain and team leader. Who sure enough returned her love, often times both of them would speak of when they made that big bounty they'd settle down and build a life for themselves. That big bounty came in the form of a empire sanctioned bounty on a criminal who ran his gang much like a corporation on Corellia. The mission on Corellia, didn't go as planned. They botched the arrest and ended up pinned down by this mans associates. They gunned down the team, Therra only got away due to the captain telling her to play dead and she did. Luckily they didn't remove her helmet to check if she was dead they just assumed and left her alone. Finding the captain and the love of her life wounded he left her with the parting advice of "Smile more, looks fitting on you." Before succumbing to his wounds and once again Therra was alone in the universe. For awhile she became depressed, and probably drank at every bar in all of the core worlds. But she also did her job but now as a solitary hunter. Eventually she sobered up and put on the fake smile facade. So the few times she was paired up with other hunters she didn't smell like a brewery, eventually the imperials approached her about joining up with a crew. In need for the credits she agreed and they put her on a ship to some star destroyer.

So I'm gonna open up three spots that anyone can fill.

The other two reserved spots are for dreamshell and Chev. Once we get everyone in, then we'll be at 8 and I'll get an IC up.

With something like this you can always pretty much start whenever you want. AS new bounty hunters can always be sent to join in.

I know its another female mandalorian, but I honestly didn't notice the other one until after I devoted some time to writing the character and editing the pictures. It's not like more than one mandalorian is out of the question though right? I mean... they're pretty go-to for mercenary work in the Galaxy....

Oh yeah and a starfighter thats typically gonna be on autopilot, since the YT clearly wont have the cargo space. Modified Nubian defense craft. Stolen from the planet after the emporor razed Naboo to the ground. The droid is built into the ship, and the color of the external propulsion units (The colorful lines) Can be changed. Further than just being pretty, they add alot of control to the craft by increasing its multi-directional propulsion.

Nubian Fighters aren't equipped with hyperdrives. Also mutlidirectional propulsion is typically controlled by repulsor coils that aren't line... They'll be nothing but aesthetic.

Name: 7D-6R
Species: Droid
Age: unknown
Gender: Masculine personality
Appearance: 6'7 in height. Looks quite a bit like an IG series assassin droid except for the fact that the "eyes" are grey instead of red.
Height: 6'7
Weight: 374 pounds
Apparel: None
Weaponry: two built in rapid fire blasters built into the arms and a long range heavily modified sniper rifle.
Equipment: four frag grenades and three concussion grenades
Personality: Cool and Logical, 7D-6R is an oddity among assassin droids being that he detests what he was programmed to be,. He expresses disgust at being controlled by his programing and the Empire and wishes to be free of his programming so that he make his own mark on the galaxy, not just what he has been programmed to do.
Skills:
Expert with most energy weapons
Is able to interface with most computer systems and download information
Has the ability to track a target's movements and a good shot with his built in blasters. Not a perfect shot but a decent one.
Has a sense of what is right and what is wrong

Flaws:
Doesn't understand most slang
Vulnerable to Ion weapons and other droid disabling weaponry
Can be extremely literal which has a tendency to confuse people around him
Has a strong dislike of what he was created to do

Bio: 7D-6R was created by the Empire in a research facility where they were attempting to build a new type of assassin droid capable of infiltrating and destroying targets that stormtroopers and other infantry targets couldn't handle. At his moment of activation, 7D-6R felt his programming come online and his primary mission parameters ran through his head.

7D-6R found that for reasons he couldn't fathom he didn't approve of what he had been designed to do. He turned to look at the scientists who had created him and spoke four words that changed the course of his life forever.

"I will not kill."

With those words, the scientists attempted to deactivate him only to find 7D-6R was able to escape his restraints and was able to subdue the scientists without killing them but one of them had managed to alert the lab's security forces and he was confronted by a group of stormtroopers who managed to take him down after a difficult battle. He was captured and reprogrammed by the lab's technicians and was forcibly modified to serve the empire. The technicians believed that they managed to completely modify his behavior programs only to underestimate what the droid was capable of. A small portion of his original programming survived and began to slowly rewrite the modified programming to allow him to revert back to his original way of thinking. It's taken years to make the progress he made but he is extremely close to finally rewriting the last of the modified programming. Once it's done, he'll be free to make his own choices.

Ah Jeez. I'm used to criticism, and okay with it, but I'm not gonna lie seeing all this did make me sink a little. Very... thorough.
No matter, I'm very good at edition and explanation.
Well then let's begin!

Noted. She just felt a little wrong without her typical starfighter. I kind of use a similar model for most of my star wars rp's, but I see I'm going to have to be a little more thorough here. I am after all, a major Star Wars geek. And I definitely know quite a bit more about the previously canon and in movie universe than most. I have no problem with exercising that. Should be fun to actually have someone to counter me from time to time with unbasic knowledge... That said...
Multi-Directional propulsion CAN be in a line orientation, and absolutely could be aesthetic depending on who was building or modifying the ship. Clearly this nubian craft was taken apart piece by piece and then The hull would have been cut into. Since multidirectional propulsion is, as you say, repulsor coil based one could easily spend the time and credits to have those coils place in a line configuration, and the proximity of one side of the repeating pattern would allow the coils integrity as an energy channel to hold. Then a single panel with microperforations could be placed over it, which I know would impede the work of the multidirectional propulsion, but then, so would stabbing a damn droid through a socket in the craft. I admit this isnt a canon idea, but it takes canon knowledge and makes logical assumptions with it based on science.
Also, as much as I have little to no love for the new trilogy for various reasons, I chose a nubian starfighter because it is the only craft type to pull off a sleek, graceful look. Much of the fighters qualities are sacrificed for aesthetic, including the fact that it is clearly designed for better in atmosphere flight than out of atmosphere flight. My alterations to this craft fixes that without destroying the sleek look I like. As for the color changing, I don't have an explanation, since I cant honestly think of any way for the microperforated panel to filter light, so it's just blue. There. I've explained the craft, not because it's gonna be in there, I'm ditching the idea entirely, but because I am proving the point that I am at least knowledgable to a degree. Next.

But' her luck withstanding, she caught the m off guard and managed to get them both into a pod without violence. She took over flight of their ship, but not knowing very well how to fly the custom craft and being more used to a starfighter than a small freighter she was unprepared when the nearby imperial garrison sent twenty fighters to force her into returning to their SD and being arrested. Before they docked however, the armorsmith aboard took his own life with her fathers bes'bev, so that he might not be tortured into revealing the secrets of Mand'Alore and its precious metal. And she nearly took her own life, now having no family and no home to go back to without certain death, but wasn't strong enough (or weak enough depending on how you look at it) and was instead captured and brought before the man who was at the time just Admiral Tarkin. Tarkin was attempting to discover the secrets of Beskar for the empire in order to test it out in his upcoming raid with Darth Vader on Kashyyk. The very ruthless action that made him into a Grand Moff. (Hopefully that gives you some idea of timeline. It would be about 13 years before your story. Which, incidentally would have made her 15 at the time.)

I understand your misgivings with this, and am fine with removing it. It was something written into her storyline by a previous GM. And I don't know if you know this, but the "commander" title is unofficial anyways. The term commander in the imperial navy was actually always titular as it did not refer to an actual rank, but simply whoever was on board a specific ship to take the position of authority. There were specific commanders, but I used the broad and titular term "Commander" on Purpose. It would effectively never put her in charge of a ship per say, but it would grant her certain privileges.
Like I said, I'm fine with writing it out of her storyline.

The Mandalorians were traditionally a warlike people who are associated with the death watch, which once was the major political force of Mandalore. But I understand you were up in a rave about this asshole who came on with not only a ship from the first movie and a sword from the damn cartoon and talking about technology that didn't quite make sense, so I get why you wouldn't think me capable of this context.
But you should know by now that I am no nine year old dipshit with knowledge limited to the movies and a horrible show that butchered the meaning of the force and made Jar-Jar that much more retarded. I know Star-Wars. I know it like the back of my hand. I've read and memorized most of the essential guides. the old ones.

Her father was unhappy with his marriage to a Twi'Lek woman who hadn't told him before they were married that she could not produce children. As a result she offered him a deal so she could save their marriage. He could sire three sons, and no more, with a or many human women. This deal made sense and was a good offer, but her father slipped up and sired her brother and her at nearly the same time. Her brother was born first, and when his daughter was born and the mother died and left the child to his care, he realized that he had failed his wife. Although she didn't actually blame him for it, his misery and lack of understanding eventually drove her away, and he always blamed it on Null. He wouldn't ever touch his daughter, much less train her, and her brothers grew up far better fighters than she. Obviously theres more to this than just the practical stuff, but I've written alot and don't feel like getting to in depth to her emotions on an explanation to a CS that is already far too long.
Thank you for your time and understand that I am more interested knowing the level of knowledge I must be among. I have put a ton of work into this now and hope you will take that into account despite the minor discrepencies I have taken with a grain of salt among my many uses of this character.

We could go into real detail over this if you'd like, but if you're dropping the ship that's fine as my next problems were with hyperspace and what not. And TBH I think Heat woulda told you no to the ship anyway, probably a reason he wants us all together.

At this time Tarkin was a little busy overseeing every Super Weapon project the Emperor had going as well as keeping an eye on all the Moffs. No offence but unless you found out about the Death Star, found it at Geonosis and boarded it and walked up and slapped him in the face I doubt he'd take much interest. Even indirectly.

Oh no offence was intended. I like the Prequels, the Original Trilogy and the cartoons. I was merely pointing out that Deathwatch even if you go to the old mandalorian ways isn't quite normal. While returning to the original ways Mandalorians did have an acute sense of honour and weren't often fans of Deathwatch. However I will admit it is possible that several factions could exist within Deathwatch. Though in future note, if I think someones an asshole or an idiot I have no quarrels with saying it. I'll never try and be subtle about it.

My source for this knowledge was "Darth Vader; Rise of the Dark Lord" Which has been around awhile. His rank nonwithstanding, as there have always been discrepencies in the EU... Beskar was a primary concern of Tarkins for the Kashyyk raid. And the Kashyyk raid was what primarily made him a Grand Moff. The reason Beskar was such a big deal to him and why he would handle its acquisition personally is because he and Vader believed that a majority of the remaining fugitive jedi were taking shelter there, (correctly I might add) and Beskar was the only force and lightsaber resistant metal in the known galaxy. His entire career was riding on Kashyyk. Also, Kashyyk was apart of the Death Star project as Im sure you are aware, so between the two timelines, the only discrepency I see is his rank.

Makes sense, but as I said before, that was written in by a previous GM and I am fine with that not holding here. It's not a major part of her life anyways and shouldnt affect the character, which is my primary concern.

As for the Asshole thing, I'm glad you can be blunt, I'm much the same way.
I'm further glad that you are tapping at the vague nature of some of the things I'm leaving out, it helps me write better. It's pretty difficult to adapt a character from previous RP's to a new one, as people acknowledge (or are ignorant of) different parts of the EU. This is probably good exercise for the next Star Wars RP I enter with this character.

Sep said

It might help to know that the first is an heirloom that was given to her by her grandfather before he died (Lots of backstory there, but it pertains more to the grandfather than to her, so I wont get into it) And the sword eventually led her to a long abandoned ship from the Old Republic era. An architect droid named Suta'an found aboard was reactivated in another body (The old one was corroded to heck). And she found out it was a droid accustomed to building lightsabers. As thanks for reactivating him, the droid offered to make her a lightsaber. She showed him the one she carried and asked if he could make her a second one, he did the droid was blown up in a battle that she barely escaped from yadda yadda yadda... It's a reeeeeeeally long story with all the details, but I think that explains the gist of it. Wasn't expecting to defend their existance, but I understand their rarity and the need for them to have a backstory. I think it's notable that during that RP it was discussed that the canon ship "The Crucible" and its occupant Professor Hooyang were from the Old republic era. Thats something I didnt know at the time since there isnt much detail about the ship.

Phew. I'm already having fun. And I've only got a character sheet up!

I have to thank you. This is freaking great!

Sep, Heat, I would like to create a character, however there would need to be three things required before I create a Character Sheet. While minor, they are serious.

1. Approval to be a Devastator War Droid
2. To be upgraded and modified with the additional intelligence of a Protocol Droid and it's own personality complex
3. Built and owned by someone
Most people have a droid. Maybe Therra would like to have one, as he could have been in her recent ending backstory where she made him to try and cope with the depression?

Mostly in standby would be expected if so, and not 100% complete, efficient, or effective at this time. Still needs a part or two, tweaks, fixed joints, but all in all can do basic things. And is almost as fast as a B1 battle droid.

Updated CS for convenience.
Name: Null Lia'T'Shek
Species: Human-Mand'Alore
Age: 28
Gender: F
Appearance:

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 112lbs.
Apparel: Black Mandalorian Customized Beskar Armor seen above when in a combat-ready situation. The above traditional twi-lek robes when otherwise.
Weaponry: Two black katana shaped vibro-blades. (As represented in both the above illustrations.)
Equipment: Jetpack, wristrockets, light laser cannon, and magna-hook, wrist control unit. You know... typical Mandalorian stuff...
Personality: Quiet, but deadly. Good at getting what she wants, but impulsive and sloppy when in recent light of any failure. No force ability whatsoever, and even tried to join the jedi order but failing all their aptitude tests and being far too old, she was rejected. She holds a bitter grudge against all force users for this reason.
Skills: Extensive training with her two darksabers. She cant deflect bullets, but blocking them isnt out of the question if she is on her toes. She is also an excellent gymnast and parkour specialist (Or their equivalent in the SW universe). Good at sneaking around. Excellent pilot.
Flaws: Really poor judgement when angry, Refuses to train with a blaster and has really poor aim. Has a tendency to think she can do more than she actually can.
Bio:She was once forced to decide between the protection of her clan, and the protection of her families honor. Short story long her father was going to give over someone in their clan with the knowledge of Beskar (Not going to explain this since you clearly will get the significance) to the empire, and she destroyed the escort and Forced her father and brother into a pod at sword-point. The Shabuir Di'Kut had been in their under-armor instead of fully suited, which would have given them a great advantage as the beskar in their armor would have made her attacks effectively useless with a plasma weapon. And she nearly took her own life, now having no family and no home to go back to without certain death, but wasn't strong enough (or weak enough depending on how you look at it) and was instead captured and brought before the man who was at the time just Governor Tarkin. Which, incidentally would have made her 15 at the time.) Grand Moff Tarkin thought she would be of better use repaying her debt with several "favors". After it was repayed she continued to be employed by the empire. And although she has no official rank within the empire, it is generally known that most officers under the rank of commander are to defer to her. Her family was a traditional Mandalorian family, all honor, training to be a warrior all the time, her brother was even accepted to be a Black-Sun, and her father was a member of the infamous deathwatch. She however was nobody. She had to train herself and learn by watching her brothers train, as her father was ashamed of his "bastard daughter who drove my sweet T'liah away." She has what could easily be called "Daddy issues" and her problems with her backstabbing family could fill a story book, and are all still unresolved... the last time she heard from her family members was right before her new life began as an empirial employ...
In reference to The bastard daughter thing. More backstory I was gonna reveal later but since you are clearly beyong the typiical level of knowledge I understand the need to explain myself now...

It really depends with what Heat is going with here. If Heat is going canon he has been a Grand Moff for ages and the Kashyyk raid doesn't take place as it is in the old Novella and is Legends. The Tarkin book was a new release and was canon. I felt Heat would be going with movie Canon here but we'll see what he says on this note but as you said, that's only for his rank. Though I've read the Darth Vader: Rise of the Dark Lord book I don't remember much in it to do with Beskar because it focused so much on Vader I honestly didn't pay much attention to Tarkin in it.

Makes sense, but as I said before, that was written in by a previous GM and I am fine with that not holding here. It's not a major part of her life anyways and shouldnt affect the character, which is my primary concern.

It's always difficult bringing one character from one RP to another. Darth Crusade (In my Rise of Crusade) was originally from Death of the Force which has been planned since, forever (Well back then it was Legacy of the Force) and it kinda left with the GuildFall and I've nor resurrected it for a reason. Rise of Crusade is a prequel but it's already complicated enough trying to link the two together despite the main character.

as people acknowledge (or are ignorant of) different parts of the EU.

I know most GCW and later. With exception of Outbound Flight and the Thrawn books. EU(Legends) and official Canon just makes this far more complicated.

It might help to know that the first is an heirloom that was given to her by her grandfather before he died (Lots of backstory there, but it pertains more to the grandfather than to her, so I wont get into it)

This bit, I can live with.

And the sword eventually led her to a long abandoned ship from the Old Republic era.

I can't live with this as it brings another Rp elements forth and into this one, I can live with it if Heat can but I personally don't like the idea off that. I mean if there was a direct link I could but off the bat I can't but that's upto Heat.

I gotta say, you've turned around my initial impression after seeing your sheet initially.

Ah, my mistake, I was also referencing one of Karen Travis' 501st books. They talk about the Beskar being of interest to the empire for jedi related situations and all that. The book "Dark Lord; Rise of Darth Vader" (Looked up the title, thought there was something off about my memory of it) was just how I was referencing Tarkins position and why he would have been personally involved. Although now I see that my knowledge of both books were involved. You read so many of these things, and they all muddle together sometimes...
Oh and I guess you didn't hear. Disney De-Canonized the entire expanded universe. From Games to comics to books to spin-off droid rebellion cartoons. Honestly i understand why they felt they needed to do that but... ugh... I've had to redefine canon alot... It's frustrating.

Yeah I lost two different running RP's with Null in them to guildfall. I feel ya. I didnt even know the guild had come back online until a little over a week ago. you can imagine my excitement.

I don't have the link anymore for the above reason unfortunately :/
And as much as I'd hate to part with them, as they've become a staple trademark of her character, if Heat wants me to ditch them for this RP, I'll do it. I'll replace them with purple lightsabers or something slightly easier to attain.

Well thank you! ^^ It's nice to hear that from an avid fan and clearly well endowed and active fellow roleplayer.

That explains why, not read that. Also haven't you noticed I've been referencing "Legends" (Which is the new Official name for EU) and canon?

That Tarkin book I have been referencing is canon. Everything released after the revelation is canon, I think they're still unsure on whether or not The Clone Wars cartoon is canon but the Rebels Cartoon is.

This is again, if the Imps let you keep them after all. Palps made lightsabers, lightsaber crystals and even parts incredibly difficult to obtain.

"Well Endowed", been peeking through my window?

Nah this is the Era I'm good at. You should see me in the NJO Era, read every book from Vector Prime to Cruicible so that entire end of the spectrum is in my head somewhere :L

Currently I have seen nothing that Disney has made to sway me to the new Star Wars, so I'm original Lucas-canon
