I think it can be really fun not knowing about other characters, as long as everyone properly introduces their characters in their first posts ^^. Seeing other char sheets has its benefits, mainly avoiding making two of the same type of character, but it's worth it in my opinion as it's more fun to find out what a character is capable of throughout the RP. Knowing what other people are playing ´before my character meets them kind of takes away from the experience, in my opinion ^^.

Yeah, I'm interested in this aspect, saying things like 'does you character best fit 'adventurer', 'caster', 'ruler' or 'artificer'' would probably remove the worry of getting only one or two non-combat characters, but if that would have prevented it then it would mean some people would have to see '7 chose adventurer, damn guess I can't make my idea'. So I do like this idea, especially if the character sheet don't get posted at all (though I could just not look : p).

I will be writing a detailed post on the nobility. (but first I promised magic so I'll go work on that). Otherwise There are six noble houses. Since it not set in stone yet if you wish to have your own house, please pm the details and I will add it into the list.

For some, yes. This will not always be the case as this is a large area, and by no means are anybody restricted to "staying grouped". If you're looking for a "Rag-tag" band of adventures style rp, then this is probably not the place for you. This is overall about the stories we write, there will be interactions, but it's about the world and how these few people help is evolve and change, how they get through it, the friendships they make, etc.

If you can't handle solo writing then this is not the place for you I'm afraid.

I will not base my character off of anyone's else regardless, so if it helps/ then cool. I would like to know basic info like appearance and function so that we can follow each others' stories better. Would not care to have 1/2 the intro posts be rehashing descriptive/story info every time new characters introduce. But then again, I have no idea how you fine folk are going to write :)

Now it will get finicky down the line (if/when) characters meet each other. How much do we want to know about each other/ what don't we want others to know.

I think your middle ground option would be for everyone to indicate what they would like listed on their CS listing. Or just flat out leave out the fine details/back-stories/terrible secret pasts, and that can get sorted out in the RP. Either way I will not meta-game anything I see,

This is exactly what I meant by piggy-back off of other characters. Roleplays that start with everyone apart never go very far in my experience

Well, I can say this much: My character is a healer living in Olnesse where I'll start. (Healer by means of herbs, poultices, bandages and such. No magic involved). That might help someone get started.

As far as I understoo, characters will be revealed once the RP starts, but will remain hidden until everyone has made one and been approved.

There was mention of a character which was half cat, so I guess it's possible to get something semi-anthropomorphic.
