[IC] Code Lyoko: XANA's Return

Flippy after getting hit looks up as the monsters scatter in the air followed by Josive saying something about life points and sticking together. "Will do but first I'm gonna need to forget that sticking together part for just a second. Bella my sword can absorb the stuff from your paint so just throw some my way and I'll use it which also means whenever I start nagging. Okay, and also I'm gonna leave you here for just a couple seconds." Flippy says as he quickly ditches Bella to help Aelita. When he got to her he turned and faced the flying monsters and uses his sword to block the lasers coming at her "Come on quickly get we need to keep moving and stick together so we don't see what happens when we lose all life points." Flippy said to Aelita still focusing on blocking the lasers.

[Gambit]

Bella yelped as the laser hit her arm and made her brush fly out of her hand. "Ow..." she muttered; the lasers felt like a nasty wasp sting. Upon hearing Josive's warning about the life points she glanced around quickly for her brush, not wanting to be left defenseless. "Okay, yeah sure," she replied to Flippy. It would be better to work together to get through this fight.

There!, Bella thought when she finally found her brush, lying in the grass several meters away. She dove for it, narrowly avoiding getting hit by another laser. Bella grabbed the brush and stood up, prepared to fight again.

[Alternax]

Jared felt every blow hit his blade, but he still somehow was able to keep all of them from hitting him. That's probably because the other guys got shot. Watching through his sword Jared witnessed the monsters pass by him, apparently his defense proved to much, and he continued to watch as the creatures passed by him to show him their backs. That's it, now's my chance to go on the offensive! Beginning another sprint, this time in the direction of the monsters. Jared let out a loud grunt as he leaped into the air again to bring his blade down onto one of the enemies, and attempted to swing his weapon into the others.

[Teknonick]

<Lyoko Warriors>:
Jared's attack managed to take out one of the flying enemies... but his swing was disrupted as his sword deteriorated into thin air! Slowly, a bright light started to engulf him, before dissipating much faster than it came. After the light had faded away in a harmless explosion, it revealed Jared to be different than before. He had changed form, becoming a large hawk, sightly bigger than these flying monsters themselves. His talons were big, and his beak was pointy, and could be used as weapons, though not as effectively as his swords could have been.

Flippy made it to Aelita just in time to block the oncoming second wave of lasers. Jared's distraction up in the air gave Flippy a break, as they stopped their barrage much sooner than they had before. Aelita took the chance instantly, and continued her bolt for the tower, even though some of the flying monsters might finish off Jared any minute now and start their attack again. Flippy and Aelita were close, but not close enough if the monsters attacked again.

Bella was farther away, having to retrieve her paint brush before being able to respond to anything. Luckily the monsters were distracted with Jared, giving her a chance to catch up to Flippy, and or help take out some more of the flying monsters, though at this point there were still so many....

[Gambit]

Now that the monsters were distracted, Bella ran over towards Flippy and Aelita. A bright flash of light made her stumble slightly though, and Bella looked up to see a big bird attacking the monsters. Jared was no where to be seen. Weird, she thought, but there was no time to investigate further. Nearing her other two teammates Bella turned to face the monsters. The fire wall didn't help much, so let's try something else, she thought to herself. She dipped her brush in the purple paint and spiraled her brush clockwise in the air like a magic wand.

Flippy knew that now the monsters are distracted him and Aelita have a window to get closer to the tower, and Bella also had time to catch up to the two of them. Flippy didn't spare the time bothering about the bright flash that happened he just told Aelita and Bella to quickly run to tower. He knew this fight would lead nowhere quick since they were getting out numbered.

[Alternax]

Jared felt dizzy as the light engulfed him, he began to lose sensation in certain limbs, and as his dizziness cleared he saw things he didn't have before. Wings,and claws? Am I a bird now? What the heck! Somehow flying took to him naturally, like how he suddenly knew how to wield a blade, and began to fly off after the very enemies he was chasing before. As he flew closer he positioned himself above one of them and grabbed it with his new talons, and attempted to bash it into the other.

[Teknonick]

<Bella>:
Your new paint choice seemed to be slightly different than the other two had been. A purple wave of energy formed into a wall at first, grouping together tightly as they first formed, then separating into nothingness as they quickly sped away from the center of the spiraling wall, but with more replacing those that leave just as fast as they tried to leave.

<Jared>:
Your attack seemed to work well, slamming the flying monster into the other. The one hit seemed to veer off, blocking an attack from another laser for you, and exploding in the process, sending a chain reaction to the one you were still holding, which sent you backwards through the air. The attack Bella was charging up was launched, heading straight for where you had flown backwards, at a rapid speed. It hit you, but it didn't seem to hurt. It made you nauseous, and woozy. You didn't notice all the flying monsters starting to circle you, until it was too late.... All the monsters let loose their lasers onto you in rapid succession, even after you had deteriorated.

<Flippy>:
After the mysterious bird was just destroyed by the lasers, the flying monsters turned towards Bella, letting loose another barrage of lasers down upon her. No matter what, there were too many of them, so the attack ended up with her dissolving into thing air after the attack. You and Aeilta were nearing the tower now, but it was still outside of arms reach as you both ran towards it. With your backs turned, the both of you may be shot before either of you could reach it...

<Jared/Bella>:
After being shot to the point of dissolving, everything seemed to disappear into a white light. After the light faded, you were back in the scanners, hurting all over from the still stinging pain. Josive was no doubt upstairs still on the computer, but everything was silent down in the scanner room the two of you are in now.

[Josive]
Josive sat in his chair, looking over at the door, watching as a dent was slowly being pushed inward. Fear were within his eyes, but he controlled himself and turned away from it. He looked at the monitor to just catch the last lines of the reporter from the local news, "La police conseille à tous de rester à l'intérieur! I repeat, stay within the safety of your own homes. The police advise everyone to stay indoors!" just before an army of the mini-robots started to roll down the streets behind the reporter. The cameraman zoomed in on the robots, as the woman standing in front of the camera stepped out of the way. The robots were chasing after random people running in the streets, with no signs of any police force to handle the situation. Then, one black car pulled up, with a man stepping out. He wore a long trench coat, and a fedora hat with his head held down, casting a shadow over his face. A bunch of robots pulled up to him slowly, forcing him to take a single step back... before the camera unzoomed and swiveled to the right to reveal a the reporter woman attacking robots with her mic, and eventually one knocking the camera to the ground, the cameraman running off, then going static.

The robots outside the elevator door continued to bang on it.

[Gambit]

Bella panicked as the monsters ganged up on her after her attack. She hurriedly started dipping her brush in the paint to cast a fire wall to defend herself, but it was too late. The monsters were already charged up with their lasers. She cried out as the laser beams hit her all at once, and the world turned white.

In a moment Bella regained consciousness. Am I dead? she wondered confused for a moment before she recognized where she was. Wincing, Bella stumbled onto her feet and stepped out of the scanner. "Oww.." she muttered. She glanced around and noticed Jared, seemingly having just experienced the same thing she did. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked him. He must have been the bird, she realized. And that meant that her spell was what made him get defeated by the monsters. "Oh shoot, this is my fault. I shouldn't have tried that spell. I'm sorry," she said. Bella walked into the center of the room and looked up the ladder. The only way to go now was back up at this point.

Flippy glanced over his shoulder while running with Aelita, and witness the bird dissolve in thin air as well as Bella. He knew now nothing was standing between the monsters and the two of them.

Flippy had no idea what to do Bella was gone so he has body to charge up his sword, and they still not close enough to the tower to call it safe. "What can I do?" he thought to himself, but he knew something had to happen soon or it would be curtains for the both of them. Flippy turned his head to Aelita "Keep running no matter what!" he said to her before stopping and turning around. He had a tight grip on his sword putting it up in a defense stance preparing to buy as much time as possible for Aelita to reach the tower.

[Alternax]

The explosion from the flying monsters sent Jared flying back, he panicked as he realized he had no control, and everything became dull as he was hit by something else. Jared didn't know what it was but it made him nauseous, dizzy, and worst of all it made him unable to avoid the many lasers headed for him. The lasers crashed against his thin form so fast he never had a chance to react, or voice his virtual pain. As he emerged from the scanning chamber he awoke in a cold sweat, much like a nightmare, and fell to the floor trying to catch his breath. Even though he was exhausted he heard Bella clearly and responded only a few seconds later. "Not your fault, I got so into the moment I didn't even realize I was hit." Taking another breath Jared began to stand up. "Let's go check on Josive, see how things are on his end." Jared added as he began to walk to the ladder as well.

[Teknonick]

<Bella/Jared>:
After the two of you talked for a little bit, and went up the ladder, you reached the top after a minute, to see Josive scanning through the files from the CDs that were now loaded onto the super-computer. He didn't even seem to notice both of you had been defeated, or your approach up the ladder. Over at the elevator door, you could tell things were starting to heat up. The elevator doors were bashed in, almost to the point of a hole opening up to let the little robots in through them.

<Flippy>:
Aelita nodded to you after you told her to keep running, taking the chance you were giving her. After you turned and took your stance, you could see the flying monsters were then in range. The lasers came down upon you, landing behind you, at your feet, but most of them hitting your sword. One hit your foot, but after having taken so many hits before, you were still able to endure through the pain and keep up blocking the other lasers.

"I'm clear!" Aelita yelled to you, having just reached the tower. Just after she had called, a charged up laser hit your sword, destroying it in the process. The lasers stopped as the monsters flew down to you, circled you as they charged up, then let them all loose on you at once... an attack undodgeable by any means... and painful. You slowly desolved from the attacks, then a bright white light filed your eyes. After the light faded away, you were back in the scanner, aches and pain all over your body.

Flippy felt the pain come to him in an instant, but at least Aelita got to the tower. "Cool..." he said and then trying to get up on his feet. It was slow because he didn't want to hurt himself anymore then he already was, but eventually he was on his feet and moving towards the ladder.

After climbing the ladder he saw Bella, Jared, and Josive. Flippy also took notice that the elevator doors were about to break open any moment and robots will flood in. "So Aelita made it to the tower, and I see things are still a mess..." Flippy said to basically everyone.

[Gambit]

Bella jumped when she heard Flippy's voice behind her. She hadn't realized that he was there. She was relieved though when she heard that Aelita managed to get to the tower. She glanced over at the elevator, noting that the amount of damage that the robots were doing was getting to be concerning. Bella looked over the room for anything that might be able to barricade the doors, but there didn't seem to be much. "We just have to wait for Aelita now," she said, more to reassure herself than anything. "I'm sure she will be able to figure it out, right?"

[Alternax]

Jared quickly ascended the ladder, and looked around for something to do. Josive was busy doing who knows what on the computer, hopefully monitoring Aelita's progress, the sooner we finish the better. After listening to Flippy and his status update on Aelita Jared began to speak up. "Let's hope she remembers what to do." The boy then placed himself somewhere away from the door. I don't want to be near that when it falls.

Team Lyoko

In the Factory

"Hey, what do I do now?" Aelita said, her face popping up on the screen. "Um... I'm not sure. Let me look." Josive told her, turning to his laptop and looking over the notes he had gathered up. Over by the elevator, a tiny hole had now opened up. It was big enough to see through if you were to look in it. The hole opened up wider and wider, slowly up to the size of a fist before stopping. "Okay, I found it. It says you have to walk to the center of the platform. Once you do that, there will be an interface up top." Josive told Aelita, who nodded before the picture of her disappeared.

Josive continued looking through his notes, before turning to the others. "I found another program I need to enter in here on our end. I'm not sure what it will do, but the notes left from Jeremy say to use it after the tower is deactivated, and to prevent other's from finding this place. It's labeled 'Return to the Past', but it's not very clear exactly what it does." Josive said. He turned to see the hole by the elevator, catching the robotic arms from the mini-robots stretching through the hole and peeling the metal back to widen the hole. "Hurry up Aeilta." he gulped.

Aelita

Aelita walked towards the center of the tower slowly, looking around for anything that might be different. She noticed the rings lit up as she walked on them. After she came to a stop in the middle, she started to lift into the air, slowly gaining speed until she reached a platform up above. After landing she looked around. "Nothing. There's nothing here." she mumbled to herself, before stepping forward to reveal an interface in front of her. She shook her head, Never mind, I guess. She walked up to it, watching as a hand symbol flashed on the screen, indicating for her to place her hand there. She did as was instructed, and placed her hand onto it. It flashed a little bit, before she removed her hand. The hand symbol disappeared, then a name appeared. "Maya." she read it aloud. The name disappeared, then the words 'Code: Lyoko' appeared on the screen.

In the Factory

"Uh, how's it coming Aelita?" Josive asked into the microphone. The hole was ripped open wide, with several robots rolling through it. They all started to roll their wheels, but held themselves in place as they revved up... before jolting forward, and then coming to a stop before the group. "The tower's deactivated." Aelita finally announced. "Phew... alright. It looks like deactivating the tower makes them stop... but doesn't clean up the mess. I'm going to run this other program. Everyone hang on." Josive said, turning back to the computer and typing it all in. He held his hand over the enter key, while turning his head to everyone else. "I'm sorry about before. I'm in this with you guys from now on. You can count on it." he smiled, then let his hand drop onto the enter key. "Return to the past now!"

Time seemed to freeze after Josive hit the final key on the computer's program. A bright white light engulfed the factory, spreading outwards towards the school and beyond. After the white light had faded. Everyone was back where they were, only moments before the tower had been activated. No one remembered what had happened... except for Bella, Flippy, and Jared. They remembered everything.

September 2nd, 8:00pm, Introduction Day.

School's out!

Only kids living off campus are allowed to leave. Students are allowed to get permission to leave campus by Jim, or the principal. (Not the RP rules... you can get kicked out of Kadic for breaking them, not the RP)

[Josive]
"What!? Are you guy's crazy!? This is nuts! We can't risk who know's how many lives with this thing! If those kids disappeared... and if they built it... what makes you guys think we can do any better? I'm sorry, but I'm out of this. Good luck trying to save the world and all, but I don't want any part of any of your deaths." he yelled at the Jared and Flippy. His eyes darted at Bella as well when he mentioned the deaths part. "I'll leave my laptop here, and you can watch the video again and take notes on those programs yourself. I'll expect it in my bedroom tomorrow morning, before classes, if you survive." he continued.

He looked at the screen, and put on his headset, "I'm sorry Aeilita, but I'm out of this thing. I hope you make it... but I'm not risking my own life, or countless others, on such a dangerous thing." he told her before taking them off before she could speak. "Josive, wait! Don't you remember?" Aleita called from behind the screen, but without the headset on, he couldn't hear her. "If I don't see me laptop, I'll assume all of you are missing too, and I'll shut off the computer." he said, standing up and starting to force his way over to the elevator...

[Gambit]

Bella watched, frightened as the robots forced their way out of the elevator. We're done for now, she thought, stumbling away from the side of the room with the elevator. But just as the robots started zooming towards them they froze. Bella sighed with relief. Aelita did it. They were safe.

She looked up when she heard Josive's voice. She smiled, it looked like they were all a team now. But before she could think of anything to say a white light spread out from the computer and washed over them like a wave. When the light faded she realized that she and everyone else seemed to have been teleported. They were all standing around the computer now. The robots had vanished. Bella shook her head slightly, unsure what had just happened. She jumped when she heard Josive again, now harsh and frustrated. It was Déjà vu. He had said that exact same thing earlier, before they went into Lyoko. "H- hey hold on a second!" She moved between him and the now-fixed elevator. "You can't leave now! What about what you just said, that you were in this with us? What about Lyoko and the robots and light? You don't remember what happened?"

When Flippy saw the robots start coming through the elevator doors his facial expression was that like "we're all gonna die!" He was so busy looking for something to fend off the robots he didn't notice a bright white light start to fill the room until it already had gotten him.

Flippy seemed felt like something weird just happened one second he was looking for a weapon to fight for his life, and the next he's back to standing around the computer with the others. Flippy needed a second to think, but while trying to clear his mind Josive was back to the part when he was about to leave the team and Bella seemed to have remembered what happened but why not him? "Yeah Josive Bella's right we were just in this room and these robots were coming through the elevator, and me, Bella, and Jared were sent into lyoko. And got Aelita to this tower thing and you and her did some computer stuff, and out of no where a big white light engulfed us and now we're back here. Please tell me that any of that sounds familiar?"

[Alternax]

Jared stared in shock as the door busted open, allowing the robots all access into the room. No other way out! Jared began to slowly back himself towards a wall before a bright light began to swallow everything, Jared closed his eyes shut in response to the bright light.

A few seconds later he noticed a significant lack of metal clanging, and most fortunately, a severe lack of dying. Not that I'm complaining. However as he opened his eyes and ears he couldn't help but be overwhelmed by a sense of deja vu, like this had all happened before, and it became even more obvious as Josive began to repeat his panicked speech from before. Jared quickly picked up on it, and at the same time the other two tried to discuss the subject as well. "He doesn't remember but we do. The only thing we did differently from him was use those chambers down there. It's possible using those machines somehow helped us keep our memories." Jared whispered. I'm sure they know, but it doesn't hurt to make sure we're all on the same page. "Josive wait, just help us get into the computer!" Jared called after him, hoping to stall him, or bring back his memories somehow.

[Josive]
Josive stared with a blank face at Bella as she spoke in front of him, only partially regaining his posture after the other two spoke behind him. "Yes. Right. Exactly. Try and convince the kid who just called you all crazy, by spitting out a bunch of random crazy stuff." he said, holding his position. "I don't 'remember' anything that happened before, because nothing happened before. What are you guys talking about?" he said. He sighed, and walked over to the computer. "I don't see where this is going... but, I'll help you do whatever it is you want. But after that, we're still through, deal?"
