[OOC] The Dust

Just so everyone is aware. Despite the freeform, open world style of this roleplay there will be common goals and quests. The main theme current is the rumor of Immortals somewhere, trying to start their own society. Not sure if I want to do like a "quest board" or not. Anybody have some recommendations on how to provide quest-esque information?

I think you all ready said the best way to get the info around. Rumors, word of mouth, that sort of thing. From what you've said about the immortals, no really likes, so rumors of them makingna society would definitely get around and be a hot topic, whether a person is for, against, or just doesn't care.

I meant as in a way to track worldly objectives through the OOC. What would you all like to see? An 'events' tab?

an events tab works. ^^ maybe two or three to choose from & then people can know whom are doing what or going where.

I was thinking big main, world changing events, and like.. sub quests that effect certain things. I may categoroze them by political, social, trade, etc.

Alrighty, I finally have a day with no homework, so now I can catch up on everything I've missed out on. I embarrassingly haven't started my character sheet yet, so I was wondering when you expect to start the RP?

I am going to be making the first IC post tonight. I will make a section with the names of those clear for IC posting, as nobody as given me a completed CS yet, which is fine. There is a lot of work going into these and that makes me happy. If you're not cleared for IC posting this doesn't mean you won't be accepted, it just means that you showed up late.

Alright. I've read through the factions, but not yet the cities, I'll get to that later. I must say, I'm having a hard time choosing a faction, and really what purpose to give my character. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing, I'm really excited. Another thing that just popped into my head. how serious of writing are we going for here. I remember Deadland had somewhat of a lighthearted tone to it's OOC (at least I think it did) but the IC was actually pretty gritty and realistic. Are we going for the same thing here? Also, don't for anything about my character Levi, it's all gonna be a secret. :D We should talk about collabing though, message me when you get the chance. If that's alright with you Ae?

If you are levi are going to be collabing again by god I'm not going to wait around like I did last time, that was much too long a time to wait for you two, as much as I enjoy roleplaying with you both. As for the writing, everybody has their own style. Myself, I tend to write seriously, gritty, and gorey, then again I do have some comic relief, because I enjoy it every now again and no matter how hard ass you are life is funny sometimes. This is not to say that this is the place for laughing grenades, and idiocy. I like my writing to be more serious than utterly silly, but I don't mind good humored comedy, as long as the roleplay doesn't stray into anime rules, the three stooges, or scooby-doo, we should be fine.

The cast has been picked, thank you to rajin, tomahaw, and innoculous for applying. If you wish to know my reasoning on this you can PM me, but I've chosen those who I feel are more equipped to follow my standards, and the lash of my GM whip. You were either too slow, too generic, or too late. Constant errors in lore that's available to be reference have also played a factor in this, I do all this extra work to have my world better understood, not constantly mis-referenced. The crew I have now is about all the players I want at the moment, and these are the people who best grabbed my attention and focus, the most pleasing. I'm sorry, the life of an applicant is a hard one, best of luck in your travels. The breakups are the hardest part >_<

That being said, Firecracker_, I did make you a promise back in Deadland and I intend to keep it. That and since I've previously played with you, I'm sure you'll aim to please. Congratulations to the rest of you, and thankyou for joining me. I will be making the IC post today at some point.

I hadn't gotten any new PM's, so I half expected to not have been chosen. Looks at the first OOC post, and takes me a short while to find "The Cast." During that time I fully expected to have been kicked <.< You're one naughty boy, Aeon, to scare people like that xP

Thank you kindly for accepting me! I'm still working on my CS and plan on finishing the typing of everything soon. And I hope it isn't a problem that I have yet to complete it. As for knowing the powers of others, and I'm not sure about anyone else, I have yet to decide. I would rather build a character and their backstory first in order for me to choose their power. Rather than choosing a power and building someone around that. In other words, most of everything I have typed so far is not set in stone.

This but i already have my character set up a bit in the power department. She doesn't harness an element though. She's a little weak in the abilities section but there is always room to improve, hopefully. Just need to get that together & write a godforsaken bio. Those take forever.

Quick little aside, on the first OOC post in, "The Cast" you spelt Barnabe as Barnable. Also I am still looking forward to seeing more cities and towns. As a place of residence would likely affect one's background. Thanks!
