I really hate to be a canon Nazi, but there are no teleport crystals in ALO. The only ways of travel are on foot or by wings. It's the reason why death was such a big deal to Kirito when he and Leafa were traveling to the World Tree. If he died, then he would have to spend several more days traveling/flying back to where he was, and he didn't have that kind of time to lose because of a spoilerish reason. There might be some as a result of importing castle Aincrad into ALO, but I wouldn't really know

The only reference to teleportation after the original SAO is a teleport gate in the Mother's Rosario arc of the light novels, but the only time teleport crystals are mentioned are referring to the original Aincrad. That's what I found after doing a search of "teleport" and "crystals" in Vol. 3,4 (Fairy Dance) and Vol 7 (Mother's Rosario). Just food for thought, this is the quote that flat-out says that teleport crystals don't exist (found in the Vol.3 Fairy Dance arc):

In ALO, because there are wings to fly, other means of instantaneous movement do not exist. Therefore, journeying to the center of the world, the world tree, and the capital of ALfheim, «Aarun» is just like a journey in the real world.

Normally I would have kept quiet about the inconsistencies in the RP, but when our characters are going to be traveling off together, it's going to be madly confusing when some characters take out teleport crystals and some go off flying. Anyways, time to get hammering out an IC post.

Hey, I'm just stalking you all but I'd like to point out something If you're having trouble with swinging the invisible sword, you should probably remember that the motions of your sword skills are guided by the system so you don't really have to swing it yourself Sword skills weren't in the original Alfheim but they were re-added in the new Alfheim online

Even so, the guiding system won't prevent a weapon skill from "whiffing" since they can be activated without a target in range. Examples: When Klein tries out his sword skill in the first episode of SAO, and when Kirito tests his dual sword skill in front of Lisbeth. So without proper knowledge of the weapon's dimensions and attack range, "whiffing" is definitely possible. From a RPing perspective, the added difficulty is so that Athena isn't given a super-fecking-awesome weapon right off the bat. She has to work for it.
