Actually for this character it is financially possible, lol. I was going to make him a spoiled rich kid who wanted to get out and see things for himself. But yeah, I gotcha. It's always refreshing to have a Pokemon RP where the characters aren't ridiculously knowledgeable about Pokemon. Anyway, I'm working on my CS. Are we all supposed to find our way to Unova for the beginning or what's the deal.

@Prints Avoid How did your family get its wealth? You can start where ever you like to start building your story. The first major plot related event will take place in Kanto which my character will be absent from. I'm heading to Unova first personally

I was originally going to go with communications but it seems like that's not as developed in this world yet. So it'll likely be from intenational shipping. A company three or so generations old. I'll likely have it headquartered in Sinnoh or Unova. Although, I'm thinking approaching this from the point of view of someone who's Arceus's equivalent of an "I go to church sometimes" Christian. Even better in that apparently Arceus itself asked not to be worshiped. I'm still thinking on his actual approach to the religion. Kind of depends on the backstory I come up with i guess. Whether his great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents were devout and how they reacted to Arceus appearing, whether they hammered that into their children and let them choose their own path, how much he enjoys his worldly possessions, etc etc.

Shipping would be a fine industry, I like the interesting approach to the world. The invention of a pokedex could be something you might be interested in working on I'm glad you caught Arceus asked not to be worshiped. Any other questions to help give you an idea of the world? @Prints Avoid

@onenote yeah no pokegear, while not useful in game it would put this world on easy mode yes bikes exist and are fine for travelling the cities, but the routes here are far more untamed than in the games and riding a bike strait through would be outrageous

I don't see this becoming relevant for a while, but just for curiosity and worldbuilding purposes: What's going on with fossils?

@Prints Avoid Good question, I'm thinking due to recent creation they haven't turned into fossils, they simply live deep underground where you would normally find their dead remains. if we could revive fossils we could revive dead people and Pokemon and that kind of ruins the tone
