Ash perks up, having been absent mindedly eating for Gale's explanation "Yeah, although I've never really met another Gigan myself, I've mostly been around Ferals and Elves," the Gigan explains "I think I've never actually seen a fellow Gigan before."

Gale nodded before wrinkling her nose, the sudden smell of new people within the restaurant causing her stomach to do flips. She bit her purple lower lip and tugged on her bat ears angrily. "That smells like..." she snarled to herself, tapping her nails on the table almost in a frenzied manner. "That can't be!" she screeched angrily inside of her head, feeling like she was about to go over the edge. It was the exact same smell from so long ago, the exact same one. He knocked, she opened, her parents were dead, he said. "It's...city scum," she growled harshly, ripping her bandana off so that she could direct her red pupil in the newcomers' exact direction. Though she was blind, the restaurant was already mapped out in her mind, and due to how long she'd been here to experience the obstacles, the obstacles around her had already been mapped as well. These two entering the area stuck out like a pair of sore thumbs to her, so it was easy to pinpoint where in the room they were.

"Ash," she hissed, almost clawing at her friend's shirt sleeve, "we have company." Gale took another sniff as her blind eyes stared at the door for a few moments, flattening her ears just like before. "Not only is it city scum," she began silently, "but they're Egrets. That smell is all too familiar, I know who they are." As she struggled to contain her contempt, a soft voice echoed inside her head, "Your blood is boiling."

That was a voice she hadn't heard in a few days. "Brandy, is that you?" she wondered, smoothing her purple pompadour as she did so. "It's me," he replied back in a monotonous tone, filling her head with a jarring static. "Don't do that static noise, it's hurting my ears," she snapped through her mind, to which the sword responded by turning down the noise. "Now?" it questioned, and she visibly winced as the weapon's connections became almost overwhelming. "Stop!" she ordered, and Brandy obeyed. "Not yet, I can't rush out right now," she explained, feeling bad for how rude her last remark sounded. "I'll be here," it replied calmly, the static growing softer and softer. "Sorry for the noise," it replied in an apologetic but soothing tone. Gale had relaxed a bit hearing her weapon's reassurance of its presence, but she had most certainly not forgotten what riled her up in the first place. She had to think of a way to chase them out, but this was not her family's house from all those years ago in which they chased out whomever they pleased.

No, it'd probably be much more complicated than that.

"WE ARE BEING WATCHED."

"Shush Marionette, no one could really see us, or even bother to look up."

Reaching the alleyway, she quickly slid down a fire escape ladder to the pavement below, landing just behind the couple with nary a sound. It helps that the din from the main road still reached here, masking any noise her good leather shoes made. Taking out one of those expandable police baton from her belt, Juno walked leisurely to the bodyguard's back, and gave him a solid whack on the nape with the baton. The lady looked upon her bodyguard collapsing with surprise, barely able to register that he had collapsed, before she too was knocked out cold.

Juno raised her baton for a moment, eyeing the both of them to make sure they were really unconscious. Satisfied that it was so, she started rummaging through their person. Judging from that man, he would have given her a fair amount of trouble had he put up a fight; more trouble than the mugging was worth.

"And done. We can't have the steak-"

"WHY WON'T YOU LET ME EAT STEAK?"
came Marionette's muffled voice from the bandaged hand.

"-but we certainly can have the cheesecake in one of the cafe nearby."

"THAT PLEASES ME."

As Scott and Liam waited for the waitress to return to take their orders, Scott noticed through his peripheral vision that one of the other diners was staring at the two of them. He started searching through the several pouches on his uniform and pulled out three t-shirts, each with the Black Egret logo on them, and leaned over to the girls. "Here ya go, miss," he said as he placed the shirts on the corner of their table. Usually, just giving citizens a souvenir would get admirers to stop gawking at him. He didn't give enough attention to the girl to notice that her look was not of admiration, but of hate. Liam hadn't even noticed the other diners though as he was paying too much attention to the menu, something Scott always found strange since Liam always ordered the same thing every time.

"Alright, Scott. Seriously, what's the plan?" Liam said without even looking up from the menu.

"Plan? We don't need a plan. We're us. We just wait for more information. Keep our ears to the ground and all that. I'm sure we'll find a lead or something soon," Scott responded.

Liam sighed with disappointment. "You know what's going to happen if you don't come up with a plan. You'll start second-guessing yourself at the most inopportune time and our chance will pass us by."

"Well do you have anything in mind? All we have to go on is confirmation of its existence."

Liam gave Scott a questioning look that said everything Liam was thinking: "Confirmation? Really?"

"Fine, not exact confirmation, but my point still stands. You can't think of anything better."

Liam sighed in defeat before rising out of his seat a bit to look for the waitress. Scott did the same. Still, neither seemed to notice the enraged teenager only a table away from them.

In that very moment, something snapped inside of Gale. "A t-shirt," she echoed in her mind, her entire body filling with a surreal rage. That deafening static had returned, indicating that Brandy Station was most certainly ready to take over. "Are you sure you want me to go on?" he whispered, and she felt her impaired eyes burning from the intense, burning light that was finding its way through her pupils. "Do it," she replied, relinquishing all control over her actions and her body to let Brandy take over. While Brandy slowly began to take control, he reached up using her delicate, thin fingers and opened her eyelids manually, revealing that her entire eye had been submerged in a ghostly yellow light. "I'll keep you safe, you just watch," he breathed softly to her despite the fact that she was too disoriented to properly reply.

After he had complete control over her mind and body, he slipped the obsidian sword out of its polished sheath, pointing it directly in the Egrets' direction. "Hello, all," he announced in a voice that sounded vaguely like Gale's, but it had a twist of a garbled male voice and a roaring static accent. "On Gale's judgement, I have been commanded to take over from here," he explained to the soldiers, increasing the light coming from her wide yellow eyes to a blinding intensity. "You may leave peacefully, and I will do no harm," Brandy remarked, tilting Gale's head to the side, "but if you stay and put this girl's life in danger, I will stop your actions indefinitely. An eye for an eye." He turned to Ash and pointed the feral's free hand in her direction. "Stay put," he whispered to her, making sure that it was in a language that only her hidden parasite would understand. He adjusted his host's iron grip on the sabre's handle, raising it in the air. "And don't you dare think of using your filthy guns and tear gas on me," he snarled through her closed teeth, swiping the air with such force that it caused a surprisingly strong wind to blow in the men's direction. "An entity such as me is still affected, but I recover much faster than your average opponent. The repercussions will be great if you dare do so."

Gale's being, entrapped within her own mind, watched through blind eyes and listened to her weapon's words. "Them's fighting words," she echoed through his control, causing her feminine voice to be projected through her own throat. "Please keep quiet, Gale," he warned mentally, "if you distract me at the wrong time, our lives will be in danger. Keep in mind that while I am in your body, I, too, can be killed." Curling up on the floor and hugging her knees against her chest, she slowly replied with a delicate, "Okay," to reassure him that she understood the urgency of the situation.

Scoot and Liam were just taking a sip of the coffee the waitress had put down before them, when the bat feral from earlier stood up and began threatening them with violence. Not only that, but she showed the sure signs of having a parasite. In unison, Scott and Liam let out a disappointed sigh before taking another sip of their drinks. Scott was the first to speak.

"Miss, you do realize that parasites are illegal don't you?" He pulled out a small notepad from another pouch on his uniform and began asking questions while quickly reading several pages in the notepad. "I'm just going to assume right off the bat that this parasite has not been approved by the Renoir family." Scott looked up from the notepad just to see if she had any reaction to his absolute disregard for her earlier threats. "I'm going to have to ask you a few questions ma'am. First off, I'm going to need your name. Then I need to know what type of parasite it is that you are currently hosting: natural or synthetic. And finally, I'm going to have to ask your friends if they knew of your parasite before now and if they have ones of their own." Scott closed the notepad and returned it to it's pouch. "If we can settle this without violence, I'd much appreciate it. Your actions so far will definitely get you a few years in juvie and I'd hate for them to have to send a young girl like you to prison because of your actions here today."

Jane listened with interest as the feral girl, now properly named in Jane's eyes as 'Gale Nathbakk', (Which was a pretty cool name if we were all being honest here) explained her friend's backstory. Apparently, Ash was an orphan too. It seemed they would all be quick friends, what with the similarities and the open friendliness. Ash also pitched in, mentioning she had never really met any gigan herself. Jane had seen gigan around, but had never gotten to know one, she wasn't really super friendly at school.

Just then, the silver bell rang for the third time that evening signifying more guests. Unfortunately, these people Jane would not want to converse with. They were with the Black Egrets, the Renoir's personal lackies. She started sweating bullets, immediately placing her right hand under the table and took a big gulp from her cup of tea. Gale was also clearly mad or afraid or something, she was scratching at Ash with an intensity previously unseen. Luckily, she seemed to calm down a little, probably thinking that if they ignored them, they'd leave.

Clearly they were not leaving. One of the idiots had gotten up out of his seat, took out company brand Black Egret Tees, and fucking placed three on the table. The amount of idiocy present in that one moment was simply astounding. Had the two people sitting there been regular diner patrons and not real law enforcement officials, presumably with guns, she would have straight up assaulted them. Now though, she had to way her options. Take care of her increasing rage, and show of Franky? Well then she'd probably be arrested, again, and ofcourse she had no idea how they'd deal with her parasite, so unknown horror.

Then, Gale... became not Gale. Her voice changed, some dude and T.V. static were added to it. She decided to call this new Gale "Teevee" because, yaknow, T.V. voice. Teevee proceeded to threaten the Black Egrets (Jane was deeply saddened that she couldn't come up with an insulting name for them. The best she got was Bitch Egrets, and that sucked.) with violence, but allowed them to leave peacefully, should they wish. He also gave Ash 'the hand' presumably telling her to stay put. Bitch Egret #1, the same idiot with the damn t-shirts, reacted like she/he wasn't brandishing a blade at them. His blatant disregard for the situation only fueled Jane's anger.

Then,Bitch Egret #1 said something that scared her. She barely caught it, but as he was reading her her rights or whatever he said he'd need to "ask [her] friends if they had any parasites of their own." Well shit, it was over then. They'd ask her to take her gloves off, and she'd reveal Franky, and he'd be killed or she would, and that's it. Her only hope was to knock both officers unconscious and run. Jane quickly got up, making her way to Teevee's side. "Franky, it's showtime!" She said, as she ripped off her glove. "H-huh? Wait, are we fighting now?!?" Franky gasped, suddenly roused from his lethargic sleep-like state.

Looked like this one was going to be a fight to tell the Aunt and Uncle about.

She headed to one of the better restaurant, whistling cheerfully as she entered the scene. Her mind went blank for a while as the sight of the batgirl from earlier wielding a sword and threatening what seemed to be Egrets failed to completely register in her mind. Oh thats right, there was another parasite wielder too.

"Nope."
With that, she turned around and walked to another cafe.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO EATING THAT CHEESECAKE?"

"I just remembered there was a better cafe over there, further away from here."

Ugh, city was going to hell quick. If she didn't know any better, she'd think the Skullgirl would suddenly appear and mug her.

Juno entered Mad Man's Cafe, thankful there was a distinct lack of murderous ferals or apprehensive looking Egrets in the place. With just a sigh of relief, she sat down at a table, straightening her suit and brushing off imaginary dust. After a moment ordering, and feeling slightly amused at the flabbergasted expression the waiter wore as she ordered, Juno noticed someone who seemed to stand out against the few people in the cafe.

While she didn't look at her directly, Juno pretended to scratch at her bandaged hand, opening just a little space for her eye on the gauntlet to see.

A... carnival person, a... a.. a circus person more like. Juno didn't quite know, but that seemed to be it considering the flash of the outfit the woman was wearing. So much flash it had to be a costume she used exclusively for performing. Which means she just got off from work. No one would wear their work clothes when they weren't working after all, not unless they were taking a break or had just finished working.

Either way, she haven't.... liberated.. anything from a circus yet. That circus person would certainly be worth tailing.

Ash sighs, and sets her ginormous hand on Gale's head (Franky included), furrowing her brow, "Sirs, could you please just leave? I'd rather you not give her a reason to fight." she requests, lightly scratching the Feral's head in an attempt to calm her down, and Brandy Station. "Not to mention that if you arrest us, your good standing with the Medicis isn't guaranteed." Ash continues. Slowly, she shifts in place with an uneasy sigh, monitoring her surroundings. The crowd outside seems ignorant to the events unfolding within, whereas the Waitress is trying to slink into the kitchen with an disinterested frown. Ash then begins to consider her options: if things were to go south, the window is just large enough for Ash to jump through; Gale included, so she could avoid the inevitable fighting in the diner.

"How would a pair of normal humans fair against say, three, Parasite hosts?" Ash hints the Egrets before her, now moving onto intimidation "Assuming there are any hosts in here, of course." she adds nonchalantly, for safe measure. Ash really hates it when her lunch is interrupted by Egrets, or Police, she dislikes both of them, of course, but her tolerance is much higher than Gale's.

Gale's favorite thing that Ash did was scratching her head. She was part animal, after all, but that would not stop her. Not now, not when these soldiers dared to enter her hometown. "Ash, there is no stopping this," she voiced through all the static, "This has to happen, and you know why." With that, Gale's presence receded and let Brandy do his thing from then on.

Without another word, Brandy, clearly able to work his host's body with ease, stepped forward with an unbelievable speed due to Gale's abilities and stuck the sword into the soldier's notepad, causing the tip to be about a few centimeters from the man's face. Brandy carefully brought the notepad back and tossed it into the air before flicking Gale's wrist and slicing the notebook once with what seemed to be almost a delicate force. While suspended the air, the notebook seemingly split into bits and pieces of paper before flittering like butterflies and falling to the floor.

"You will not question these girls. You will not question my host. You will not even get to know what type of parasite I am," Brandy stated in a smooth yet static voice, the light from Gale's eyes growing even brighter as he stared directly into the single soldier's eyes. "H-Hey, be careful! My eyes can only handle so much power," Gale thought in a panicked tone, wincing at the pain, to which he responded, "I am well aware of your abilities, Gale. Why have you no confidence for what I do?"

The sword's true wielder held his attention on the Egrets and made sure that the blinding light was making contact with their eyes. "I would take this fight outside if you decide you'd like to engage," he informed the man, tapping the small table to the right with the obsidian blade. "There's too many bystanders in here, and no one innocent needs to get hurt." With that, "Gale" glided past the two men and stood by the door, gesturing with the sabre to the scenery outside. "Shall we? It's either you leave peacefully with no damage, or you leave with broken bones and black eyes. Maybe more."

-

Morgann winced as the door to the cafe slowly opened and turned her head slightly, narrowing her light green eyes. "Who's that? No one comes to the cafe at this time," she fumed silently, opening her jacket and pulling out a compact mirror. She carefully opened up the compact and pulled out a small brush, pretending to apply powder to her face when she was actually aiming the mirror towards the newcomer. "Strange," she mouthed silently before snapping it shut, taking off her hat, and dropping the mirror back into its shadowy depths. She wriggled her fingers at the jacket in a playful manner before opening it and reaching in, feeling around for her tommy gun and exhaled with confident relief when she caught it by the handle. "It never hurt to be prepared," she said to herself, tipping her hat forwards.

During her contemplation on the possibility that she might be attacked, her thoughts were interrupted by the young man from earlier, silently and clumsily slipping her coffee onto the table. Before she could say thank you, his shaky hand let go of the coffee, and the burning liquid splashed all over Morgann's coat. The magician quickly clasped her suit against her body despite the fiery liquid coating the outfit and winced as a monstrous roar came from within it, finding herself struggling to keep the suit from leaping off of her. "M-Ma'am?" the boy whimpered, quickly cleaning up the coffee off the table with his dish rag. "No, no, it's alright, the spill is fine," she soothed, waving her hand at him in a nonchalant manner. "N-No, your coat, it made a noise!" he cried, covering his face. "Hm? No, that wasn't my coat, dear. Have you ever been to Cirque des Cartes?" she questioned, adjusting one of her gleaming white gloves. "O-Oh, are you...the magician from the circus? The magician? Morgann Lacroix?" he asked, his shyness suddenly dissipating as she nodded at his question and plastered a fake smile onto her face. "Oh my God, I'm going to get you another coffee! It's on the house!" he shouted, beginning to run off. As he took off, Morgann pulled out her wand and wriggled her skinny fingers once more, shoving them into her jacket before pulling out a small piranha. Twirling her wand a few times, she sent the fanged fish flying via telekinesis into the back pocket of the boy's apron. "Lousy kid, spilling all that coffee on poor Magnolia," she cooed, stroking the jacket's sleeve to which the entire suit seemed to clasp itself against her and calm down just as it had before. The coffee stains seemed to have been absorbed into the lavish white fabric, and Morgann found herself busy with her own thoughts despite the bus boy's cries of fear from the kitchen.

Scott groaned as pieces of his notebook fell around him. He turned back to Liam and approached the table they'd originally been sitting at. They began whispering to keep the girls from listening, but the action would be futile for anyone with beyond-normal human hearing. "I just wanted to get something to eat," Scott complained. Liam mouthed the words, "Me too," but didn't actually say anything. "So, what're we gonna to do?" Scott asked.

"Well we can't just leave them, they're now officially perps. Owning parasites, threatening government employees, et cetera. I really don't want to get in a fight right now, especially with these overwhelming odds, but we got a job to do," Liam responded.

"Yeah, I know," Scott let out a sigh, "Alright, I'll lead them outside and watch them, you go get some distance and call for backup. Fast." Scott turned back to the three delinquents as Liam got out of the booth and stepped out the door. Scott reflexively moved his hand to reach for his MP40. He stopped soon after starting the movement though. Sure they were parasite hosts and would probably tear him apart in the next few seconds, but they were still minors, or at least appeared to be, and there was no way he was going to shoot a bunch of kids. The hand that had originally been reaching for his gun now moved toward his helmet that still lay strapped to his belt. As he put on his helmet, he spoke to the three youths, "Fine, let's take this outside."

In an alley next to the diner, Liam frantically called Black Egret HQ, knowing that three parasite hosts would probably be too much even for the police. "This is MacTaggart, I'm going to need support here. Fellow Black Egret Thompson and I have discovered three parasites. I repeat, three parasites. We need back-up now. Send support to these coordinates," he said before giving his location to the radio operator at base.

Brandy smiled with Gale's gleaming bat teeth, lowering the sword. "Alright, we will indeed take this outside," he began, giving the soldier a thumbs up, "but first..." Without a second thought, he dashed forward and slammed the palm of Gale's hand onto the top of his helmet, pulling it down over his eyes before dashing outside. Throwing the door open with great force, he dashed towards Liam's direction with nothing but pure determination and malice. "If she is not pleased with you, neither am I," he began, raising the sword before Gale took over. "No casualties, only injuries," she warned Brandy before overwhelming his control, taking her small but able fist and delivering a surprisingly hard blow to the side of the soldier's head. "You're a fool," she hissed, immediately regaining her stance after throwing her entire body into the punch and beginning to deliver a flurry of speedy kicks to the backs of the soldier's knees. "How dare you both stroll into this homely town with your disgusting boots and uniforms!" Before delivering her final kick, her lithe form leaped forward and snatched the communications device, delivering a final kick with the very tip of her boots to his shin before landing with a flap of her small ebony wings. Tossing it to the ground, she took the heel of her boot and smashed it, clearly not phased by the sparks and the static coming from the dying speaker.

"You think calling for your friends will help you?" she demanded, walking over and raising the sabre like before as her voice took on another static tone. "I have friends too, you idiot, and we'll just have another shoot out like the police and the Egrets did so long ago." As she finished her line, she grabbed his shirt's collar with a powerful grip. "We'll have a shoot out, alright," she whispered, staring into his eyes as her red pupils came back and she kept the excruciatingly bright light flowing, "but a Nathbakk will not be the one who dies. You will." Giving him a toothy, rather batty smile, she tightened her grip on him and began to drag him out of the alley before Brandy overwhelmed her, slinging him around to the front of the feral's blind view. "While I cannot see out of my user's eyes," he began, raising the sword like before, "I can certainly tell when one is running or desperately trying to escape." He crouched beside the man and put his host's small arm around his shoulders, hugging him tight, "No funny movements!" He immediately let him go before stopping and turning to deliver a powerful kick directly to his ribcage. "Remember, I can hear everything," he snarled, turning his back and ignoring the crowd that had come to spectate.

Scott hadn't shown it earlier, but he was a bit angry when the girls suggested leaving them alone. He was many things, but crooked was definitely not one of them. When the bat feral pulled his helmet over his eyes, he become absolutely frustrated. Running after her and finding her beating Liam though? Now he was furious. Scott looked down worriedly at his friend, before looking back up at the perpetrator of the beating with more rage than he had ever shown before. If it wasn't for the helmet hiding his emotions, the look he gave probably would have scared most the innocent onlookers away. His reluctance to pull out his gun and turn the girl into Swiss Cheese was nearly gone, the only thing keeping him from doing that now was the amount of innocent bystanders that stood behind her. One of the first rules of shooting: know your backstop. So he charged at parasite host, hoping to knock her down with his shoulder and tackle her. He needed to end this quickly before anyone else was hurt.

"What an uncoordinated attack," Gale thought, listening as the steps came closer and closer to her body. "Grab him, Brandy," she whispered, raising a hand to smooth her purple pompadour. "Right, no casualties, just injuries," he responded, and waited for the soldier's charge before nimbly stepping out of the way and chasing after him with that same speed that the Nathbakks were known for before hooking the feral's weak arms around his waist and digging her claw-like nails into his sides. "You think such an attack like that will work?" he growled, and after a few moments of struggling to do so, raised him over Gale's back and began to bend him with ease. "Bat Breaker, huh?" she thought, raising an eyebrow.

"My last wielder was killed by your army of fools!" Brandy screeched, bending the soldier's body as far as it would go with difficulty. "You killed an innocent family and many others! Have you no shame?!" he screamed before tossing him to the ground, rubbing one of the feral's delicate arms a few moments after. "That was a bit too much," she wheezed silently, feeling the exhaustion wash over her tiny body. "My legs can handle those kicks, but my arms can't handle his weight." Standing up straight, Brandy continued to wield his sword while panting quietly, refraining from speaking. "I'm sorry, Gale, but you're just not strong enough to do what I'd like," Brandy informed her. "You'll have to rest now before you can do anything that strenuous."

As he sailed through the air, Dontores had plenty of time to reflect on his decisions. He had the time to, but he didn't. He had more time as Nuul floated after Dontores and charged a blast of pure darkness to launch at him, but again he didn't. He was given more time when he had almost reached the street and the orb of darkness detonated and sent him flying backwards before he hit the ground. He sailed through a window of some description, glass shattering from the impact. Momentum carried him forward as his head collided with some unfortunate person's body and knocked them to the ground.

How bothersome. He thought.

Time came back to normal speed as he fell to the ground and the Grimoire floated slowly through the window.

"Have you learnt your lesson yet, my der boy?" He said.

"No." He replied, not bothering to get up.

"I didn't expect so." Nuul said smugly, "But I suppose you will learn in time."

The Grimoire floated to Dontores' body and floated into his open left hand, suddenly clutching it as he settled into place. His left arm rose of his own volition and he was slowly pulled upright by the left side of his body.

So annoying. Dontores thought.

He looked at his surroundings, noticing he was actually in a cafe of some description.

Oh, this is nice, He thought, I was getting hungry.

He walked over the prone body of the person he had knocked over, noticing she was rather short, among other unusual things. He looked over to the right, and saw a person in uniform also on the ground. Perhaps they had been brawling? It didn't matter so much. He walked over to the counter, a shocked cashier at the register.

"I want something cheap and filling." Dontores said, "What would you recommend?"

There's a sudden burst, a volatile explosion of glass, the clear translucent shards of shrapnel raining down on the gruesome scene, as Ash buries her foot in layered brick that's now beneath her. She says nothing when her machete leaves its sheath--and with only a quick flash of steel as prior warning--impales the ground in front of Scott. Like an erect wall, it remains stationary when Scott runs into its reflective surface, and once Scott can regain his senses, he's hoisted skyward, fourteen feet above the ground. "Will you stop fighting? Please?" Ash begs, the hefty barrel of her cannon prodding at the Egret's stomach. "It's not like I wanted to fight, Gale just has... Anger issues." the Gigan explains all too casually; grimacing with each attack Gale dishes out in the backdrop.

The longer it takes for Scott to respond, the tighter Ash's grip becomes, her claws slowly invading his armor, making quick work of any protection that's barring Scott from Ash's Gigantian strength. "If you don't, I can't really guarantee your safety, it's not like I haven't killed people before." Ash adds. Twenty feet from the epicenter of the battle taking place, a ring begins to form as humans, Ferals, Elves, people of all sort begin to take interest in the rather one sided battle. "You know we're Medici back breakers, right?"

"That term can be used metaphorically or literally," Gale commented as she scurried up Ash's shoulder and sat flat on her behind, holding her sabre close to her chest. "Why did I let Brandy do that?" she wondered, tilting her head skyward and staring up at the twilight sky as the moon began to come out of hiding. Her thin line of a mouth slowly morphed into a frown as she realized she had lost her temper yet again. "This is becoming an issue," she sighed, chewing on one of her sharp nails, "it's all this repressed emotion from a few years ago." She looked over at Ash and let her head hang low, feeling ashamed. "I wanted to take Ash out for dinner because that's what she wanted, and then I went and did this," she thought, beginning to analyze the predicament that the team was now in. "Man, I'm a terrible partner," she groaned, tugging at a few loose strands of her purple hair.

"I didn't need Brandy for this even," she thought sadly, slipping the sword into its dark sheath. "That could have been overkill, I just wasn't thinking..." What was she doing? This was no time for for feeling ashamed or sad, it was action time. "I can do that when we get home after Ash either scolds me or gives me that one sad look to convey disappointment." For now, she would sit and wait for what was to come. The time for fighting, at least for Gale, had passed, and there was no longer a reason to keep going. "He called reinforcements," Gale remarked grimly, staring at the crowd around the spectacle. "I've no idea what exactly we are going to do about that."

Angus did not really expect the day that some random parasite that had attached to his face and stole apart of his brain to be surpassed as the most interesting day of his life. At this current moment, he witnessed some random Feral attack some Egret and looked like she was about to break their spine, until some Gigan out of nowhere crashed the entire battle and seemed like they were about to get in some one-sided fight. He looked around the crowd of people surrounding this event and realized if this got messy, a lot of people could get hurt, and that would be bad as it seemed these people could do a lot of damage. Geez, all Angus wanted to do was to get some groceries... You know, usually when he tries to get groceries, something strange happens to him. Last week, he was attacked by some rabid raccoons and he couldn't even fight back as he was trying to protect Pharona from the sharp claws and teeth. Angus suddenly perked up as Pharona was trying to tell him something inside of his mind. "I think those two are parasites... I haven't seen one infect a Gigan in some time... I think we should talk to them after this whole thing is over with."

"Talk to them!? I don't think so, it looks like the Feral one looks quite unstable and the Gigan looks a bit menacing. I'm also a bit afraid that Feral might attack me or something also, those raccoons did really hurt and a Feral would probably hurt more!" Angus exclaimed inside of his mind, however, Pharona was no longer listening to the worried Angus as she was looking onto the spectacle that was developing. Angus on the other hand was worrying that one of the two apparent parasites might sense her also and might accidentally rat her out to the Egrets! Pharona's safety was too great to risk for Angus, and he tried moving to get away from the crowd, but he couldn't move... PHARONA!

She was now taking complete control over the body, forcing him to stay in place and keep on watching. She was ready if things got physical, but it seemed like the Feral was starting to calm down as she scurried up the large lady's shoulders... Just like she does! One thing that Pharona knew is that she needed to talk to these new parasites, mainly just out of curiosity as she hasn't talked face to face with one in quite some time.

Scott struggled under the Gigan girl's grip. He had to get out and fight back. He was willing to die for the safety of the Canopy Kingdom, but there was no way he'd die without putting up more of a fight. The Gigan mentioned something about the Medici Family, to which Scott replied, "You think I care about what criminal scum you work for? All you've done is dig yourself in a bigger hole. Threatening and assaulting a Black Egret, resisting arrest, affiliation with a known gang, hosting illegal parasites, and those are just a few of the charges you'll be hearing during your trial."

Scott still couldn't get out the Gigan's grip. He looked down at Liam who laid unconscious down below. In a few hours, Scott would probably be making fun of him for getting his ass kicked by a girl. At that moment though, all he could think of was getting down there to help his friend. "So, what happens next is completely up to you. I'd suggest making it easy on yourselves and turning yourselves in. While I highly doubt you'd go for that idea, I'd like to point out that you are, or at least appear to be, minors, so you'd only go to juvie and not prison. Also, we could easily blame a lot of your behavior on your parasites, that'll shave a few years off your sentence. I do believe it's a much more desirable offer than being on the run for the rest of your lives. After all that's happened here, you can bet you won't just walk away without any consequences."

"Well now," Nuul said as Dontores looked through the menu, "Isn't this interesting?"

Nuul pulled his left arm backwards, trying to pull him towards the commotion.

"I'll just have number 13 please." Dontores said to the cashier as he was dragged away. With his right hand he rifled through his pocket, searching for some money. He threw some coins at the cashier as he was dragged in front of a Gigan of some description holding up the guy that had been on the ground just a second ago. Nuul flipped open, his voice spilling out from the pages.

"Why do you persist in your pursuit of the law?" He asked the unfortunate officer, "Look at yourself! You're a joke! Can you still pretend to be an enforcer in a place like this?"
