Estella

Having only ever seen Kassy on a couple of occasions she didn't really know much about her. Having gathered up the water the girl just jumped right in. At first she was trying to figure out why but then her legs changed into a beautiful tail. "Wow. That's amazing." Despite having seen quite a bit more since starting the hero gig there were still surprises like these. Since it looked like Kassy needed the water she held it in place for her.

Connor

"Well, we are alone now" COnnor said with amusement, but then sobered at the comment on overworking themselves. He nodded, "I know. It doesn't mean we aren't going to do just that. I can set ignot up to shut everything down if we are running for more then 18 hours straight" He said, looking back over to hi desk, and the names he had yet to call.

"Everyone will be on this, and probably already are. A lot of our class were there when I left." He continued, "and most likely current students will join as well"

Kijani followed his gaze to the list she'd provided, sighing faintly. Turning back to Connor, she leaned up on her toes and kissed him gently. "After we eat, you and I will take half the list and start making calls. We stop every six hours for rest and sleep." She knew six was pushing it, but Connor would probably haggle for ten. She could tell him eight, it would sound like a compromise. "And yes, we will need Ingot's help to stay honest.

Taking a look at the omelette in the pan, she considered it done, and then she slid it from the pan onto a plate. "Here. Eat."

"Course I am. Takes more the a knock on the head and a wall crashing down on me to kill me" Harry said with a smile, stepping back as Estella came in. Harry watched as Kassy entered the water. Somethings were worth having in your mind. This was one. Oddly enough, Harry felt more himself around Kassy, just looke he did around his dad.

Maybe it was because of their immunity to his powers, or just that they seemed to understand him. He didn't know. But the voice was always quieter around them.

"I was just going to see if I could find my spare pair of glasses, when I heard you"

Phoebe just stared at June. She blinked slowly, before saying "I don't think anywhere is safe. And I don't think SHIELD can keep anyone safe, if the students were safe in the school, then they aren't safe anywhere, really" she said, with a sigh, taking one last look around.

"I don't think there's any more students to rescue. Just bodies, now" and here, Phoebes voice cracked, before looking to Ryan and Makoto. "Can we go home?"

Connor sighed softly and returned her kiss, pushing everything else away for now. "Eight. A normal working day" he said, knowing full well that Kijani would probably settle on that as a compromise if he had said ten.

He took the plate, and seemed to wait "Are you going to eat?

Makoto was thankful for her good friend, though she hoped she wasn't intruding. She had learned long ago that Phoebe and Ryan wouldn't offer if it was a huge inconvenience.

"Sure." Makoto agreed, more directing the notion to Ryan. "No, I don't need anything." She was glad she had thought of the potential overnight stay.

It was a hard thing to watch, the group of people so alike and so different struggling to figure out what to do next. Makoto felt herself slip into that easy defensive mechanism, if something is terribly wrong put your head down and work harder. Her mind became hurricane loud, thoughts whirling around and all focused on one point; where do we go from here?.

"Would a hotel or motel be willing to give us refuge?" She wondered allowed, trying to offer ideas. It seemed as though both splitting the group up and or staying as a large group could be of equal risk. From what she understood, Makoto didn't think anyone knew anything yet about who could have done such a thing. It troubled her to think about all the possibilities, especially in light of the conversation that notified her of the happenings here.

A strage young woman approached the group and offered protection but Phoebe seemed exhausted.

"I'm not sure but wherever we go, I feel like we should stick together." Makoto said, believing that with the talents they had together now would prevent another mass attack. At least, one without a warning. S.H.I.E.L.D. was also a foreign concept to Makoto, she hadn't heard of them really before. She sort of knew of their existence but that was about it. The advocate for S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed rather business like.

Clearly Phoebe was not very confident in SHIELD. No matter, they couldn't know what exactly they had in mind. Makoto chimed in as well offering a potential option. It wasn't necessarily a bad one, but it had flaws like everything. And to June there was a major one. "If we get civilians involved then we potentially put them in danger. Even if we found one that was empty and alone it wouldn't take much to knock it over. Still, it is a choice I suppose." She tried to soften her expression a little., realizing she probably wasn't being very personable again.

Getting back to Phoebe's comment though she offered a counter. "The school wasn't a bunker though. Whoever did this had the element of surprise. But it still takes quite a force to level a building like this. However the large reinforced room below survived. So if we can do better than that then you will at least be in a better position to defend yourselves." Looking at them she rubbed her forehead a bit. "People have never really been my thing. So I wouldn't have been my first choice to come here and try to convince anyone. Maybe they're trying to get me to be more sociable. But I'm what you got and I'm doing my best."

Phoebe narrowed her eyes at June, and seemed to contemplate what she was going to say before saying softly, "SHIELD should have known that this was going to happen. And SHIELD doesn't seem to be able to maintain its own members, so why should we trust it? No. I want to go home, and hug my son, before I focus on this fully. I want to rest." She said wearily.

"Look, I know that SHIELD probably couldn't predict this. Which just shows how dangerous this group is and how, it seems, that it probably won't be easy to protect people. Beyond anything though, I'm not going to go hide" She looked over at Makoto and smiled, "Of course we will stick together. We have room at our place. I'll ask Katherin if she'd like to stay too"

"Alright." Makoto agreed, completely trusting her friends judgement as she thought her own would be compromised at the moment. It's a basic practitioner's concept, If you don't think you are fit to handle the situation, especially if you have ties to people involved, let another qualified person do it. The notion of Phoebe potentially losing her father tugged at the back of her mind, pointing out that it would make Phoebe unfit to make the decision as well. Regardless, Makoto thought she could handle such a leadership role much better than herself.

S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed like it was a rather large group of people with... connections. Makoto watched the woman sympathetically, she seemed just as uneasy as the rest of them. She could feel it in the air, the tension from such a tragedy and exhaustion as well as... snaps of electricity. This was extremely new to Makoto and she would have to investigate this further later. There vaguely seemed to be a proximity concept involved.

"I have one last idea..." Makoto began tentatively. "S.H.I.E.L.D. seems to be at least trying to help and if they aren't we can monitor their operatives. We don't necessarily have to go to S.H.I.E.L.D. but what if S.H.I.E.L.D. sends people to us to help. They could kind of be a security net for us, fill the gaps that are left open. We can in a way protect each other." Makoto explained, hopeing she got her idea across. If S.H.I.E.L.D. was a safe place, keeping people out and away would be tough if they still offered protection It could work... Another idea dawned on her. "If S.H.I.E.L.D. being a government agency/program got involved on our side it would deter anyone normal who is against us from striking again, especially in such a magnitude." She specifically left out that it may also encourage another attack if this first one was from other 'special' people.

Phoebe must have been at her wits end because in one breath she claimed that SHIELD should have seen this coming and in the next that they couldn't have predicted it. Were the circumstances any different she might point out the inconsistency. "You don't have to go. Everyone should have their own choice."

Kijani looked at the fresh omelette, and then shook her head. "I ate earlier. That one's all yours." She hated to lie to him. She did so a lot less, but at the moment, she didn't trust herself to take a bite of anything and keep it down. It would be easier to tell a little fib, rather than explain to Connor that she'd tapped into some live security footage at the school. The images of the school brought to rubble and dust, and what she knew was blood on the ground... She could smell it, even now, even though she hadn't been there. Fighting a sudden wave of panic, she took a slow, deep breath. She kept on trying, desperate to keep it together.

When she felt a bit stronger, Kassy pushed herself to the edge of the water orb, and then put her hands through. She came through the rest of the way, letting her tail go back to a legged form. Her balance wavered a bit while she stepped, but she recovered. "Thank you, miss." Bowing to Estella, she smiled weakly and ran off to stand by Harry. Now that she was hydrated, she reached reflexively behind her ears. Behind one was a small metal disc about the size of a dime. Behind the other...

"Uh oh. Uh oh." She felt fear run through her like ice water. "I-- I lost one of my... my helpers." Her orange eyes looked toward the mass of rubble. There would be no getting it back, would there? Now what would she do?

"I suppose that's what people will say about this school. They didn't have to go, it was their own choice! As if that makes it right that so many students, so mang lives, should be taken!" Phoebe said, "you have no idea how protected this school was. So forgive me if I don't expect SHIELD to be able to do anything, when great minds weren't able to protect this!" She threw her hands out, over the rubble.

Phoebe knew she was letting her emotions get the better of her, but she just couldn't seem to stop. "You aren't closer to answers then the rest of us! If you were, you wouldn't be standing around here! More people could be in danger, but SHIELD just wants to play the power game, and try to take over! If they really wanted to help, to find out, why just send one Agent?" She threw the question at June, as it just came to her, without much thought.

As Kassy seemed to panic, Harry stepped closer towards her, "hey, hey" he said, to direct her attention to him, "it will be okay." He met her eyes, and didn't loonaway. Despite the immunity Kassy seemed to have to his abilty, As well as anyone else, Harry didn't often meet people's eyes for more then a few seconds. "We will figure something out! You don't have to be afraid." He said, trying anything TK reassure her, but knowing he wasn't doing a good job

The voice of voices seemed to laugh, 'you can't do anything, Boy-o! You can't even help yourself!' he refused to react, except to think Harry. My Name is Harry Everytime the voice spoke, Harry at times felt like everyone of the people he had...copied were pressing on him. His name helped.

"We...we could look, but that...seems foolish...maybe we could make another one?"

Connor set the plate down, after taking a few bites, and watched Kijani, waiting for her to correct her lie, but then she seemed to become distreased, and Connor shifted, enveloping her in a hug. She had found skmething then, but it obviously wasn't important to finding out what happened, if she would have told him. It didn't matter now, except that it was hurting her. "You're safe" he said softly

For a moment her expression got tight as she tried not to have an outburst. This woman was unreasonable. Sighing she looked up at the sky for a moment before turning back to Phoebe. "I can't answer your question because anything I say will be wrong. I'll not bother you any longer." Walking away she put a finger up to her ear. "Hold your positions but stay out of sight. People are on edge here and don't need any more problems." Getting confirmation on her orders she looked slightly defeated and avoided anyone else nearby. "No they don't want our help. If you knew that why did you send me? ...Right. Yes Sir." Shaking her head she walked back over to her bike and leaned against it slightly which put her facing the destruction. "Now I just wait for Nicholas I guess. Taking his good sweet time."

Estella and Kagerou

Smiling Estella was glad that she was able to help. After a moment she had remerged from the water and she filtered it into a container. Kassy mentioned losing something and she was about to ask what it was when Storm answered the question in her head. "Oh, thank you Ororo." She had spoken out loud, though she hadn't meant to. It drew the attention of Kagerou.

"Ororo? Have you seen her?" More confused than anything she attempted to locate Storm with her abilities but couldn't. "Are you alright Estella? You seem to be talking to yourself." Looking a bit concerned the alien woman shook her head. Had she really spoken out loud? This was going to trickier than she thought. "What? Oh no no I'm fine. Mostly fine. I just... I extracted Storm's consciousness before she..." The woman had gone to looking at the missing device that Kassy had but when Estella had mentioned extracting a mind she turned her head toward her. "What are you saying? Where did you put her?" Sighing Estella pointed to her head. "I'm going to skip lecturing you on how dangerous that can be and ask you this. Can I talk to her?"

Nicholas was already waiting for her by her bike in fact waiting for her for sometime,"How did it go?" He asked her he was little curious of what he said to the others if she had came across them.He also wondered if she had meet Phoebe what if she told her that she was joining Darksiders probably no it would give he a heart attack.

"Let's get going..." He said to her resting on the side of the bike.

[Flood]

Flood watched the whole situation and just chuckled to himself. He waved goodbye to Nicholas and June and turned towards the others. "Really solving the problems huh? Because yelling at each other and at the only person who can help you will most definitely solve the mystery of our attackers." Flood shook his head. "You just drove away what might be your only chance of protection. Amazing job." Flood sighed. "I'm heading home, later." He walked away when he saw Harry and another girl. He contemplated going over to them but changed his mind at the last second. If he needed help he would call Connor. "Speaking of which." Flood pulled out his phone and called Connor.

Kijani rested herself against Connor's chest, shuddering slightly. "I know. I know I am, but... the blood. I thought I was over the blood." Apparently not. She'd barely gotten to the garbage can in time to lose her breakfast, and hadn't touched anything but water since. "I'm tired, sometimes, of myself. I just-" Exhaling, she pulled away as a familiar tone rung through the air. "That's yours."

Connor didn't know what he could say to make Kijani feel better. Sometimes, there was nothing other then to just be there. he sighed at the phone ringing, and reluctantly pulled away, but stopped for a few seconds, and opened the fridge, taking out a vitamin and nutrient drink.

Sometimes there wasn't just enough time to eat properly, and it was better then nothing. He handed it to kijani, as he scooped up his phone from the desk, seeing floods number.

Had something happened? He answered "has something else happened?"

"Before you all scurry away, I might have a solution." Kat appeared as if from no where, speaking loudly so as to attract their attention. "My house is more than large enough, I'm sure. Its location is isolated and remote, so any attacks that may come will not be able to surprise us. Perhaps most importantly, I have no earthly affiliations, no ulterior motives. Granted it's not ideal but, well..." She paused, looking around at what remained of the school, "is any of this really?" She was prepared for the questions, her kith and kin meant may had a predisposition to distrust her. Honestly she would prefer her home not be invaded but they seemed stubbornly resistant to any other ideas.

"Not sure if you were aware of this, but a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent came by for damage control. Or that was the reason she gave anyways. Otherwise nothing new. A few of the alumni of the school got in a fight with the agent, and it appears as if she is collaborating with Nicholas Crane for something." Flood thought for a moment. "That is all. Any new orders, or should I just head home?"

Kassy stared at Harry's eyes, as long as she dated. She watched his gaze dart, and felt his mind wavering. "Whatever you're hearing is wrong, Harry. You know that, right?" She clasped his hands and squeezed them gently. A lot of the students didn't like the touch of her hands. They were very cold and unnaturally smooth, a clear sign of her inhumanity. Still, she figured Harry needed something kind.

"I would love to be able to make another, but I don't know how this one was made." She was afraid to take it off, honestly. Everything in her told her not to. "I'm not sure what to do. Perhaps I can... call home." There was a weird feeling in her head, a dull pressure at the base of her skull. "I don't know." She winced and rubbed the back of her neck. "I want to sit."

Makoto moved herself infront of Phoebe, not directly but on enough of an angle to block out where the other girl had gone.

"Phoebe, let's go home." she suggested calmly. She hoped that if she stayed calm, Phoebe's internal storm would begin to respond and maybe calm enough to let her focus on something else. She took the time to search her friend with her big indego eyes. It was clear her friend had taken the hit to the school harder that she had, and from the outburst Makoto decided that Phoebe must have lost her father. Her fire-like friend who is usually strong in the face of any foe was displaying a great ton of her emotions now. Makoto wanted to comfort her as she had done for her earlier but with such anger a hug was not always the best solution. "Come on." Makoto said while takeing a few steps towards the street, assuming that was where they were going. She held out he hand to motion for her friend to follow.

Phoebe

Phoebe nodded, letting Makoto istraacted her, and followed her, taking one look back at the school, sighing. She looked away, and caught up with Makoto. She saw Nicholas, and gave him a wave, before She led the way back home, and was not surprised to find her mother there, pacing impatiently. Phoebe just shook her head, and moved inside, wearily, letting Makoto in, and then heading straight inside, to Daniel's room.

She scooped her son in her arms, hugging hi close, unsurprised at the somewhat human sized chlorofiends guarding him, although she was pretty sure that Daniel would be able to run away, if he knew to. And that was the problem. He was too young to know, to run.

Connor

Connor rubbed his eyes wearily, ad said "I am not surprised that SHIELD have become involved, although I doubt that they will be able to do anything at the moment" He said, sighing, "Go home Flood. Get some rest. We are all going to need it, I suspect" He said, "As for Nicholas collaborating with a SHIELD agent...I doubt Nicholas would do anything too bad" Another thing to think about. "What about Arnold? Griffin And Zack wouldn't take advantage of this, but I'm sure Griffin would."

Harry

"I know. Sometimes it's hard to remember though" Harry said, watching Kassy with concern, glancing about for a place to sit, "Um. Okay. Lets sit" He said, shifting to help Kassy to sit, tryig to think what he could do to help, if anything. But he had nothing. "Maybe you should call home" He said worriedly
