Cassandra nodded, and decided for now to put it away, returning Krista's smile, rising as well, to grab her things, guitar over her back, and pack over one shoulder, and gave Krista's hand a squeeze when she took it.

When they arrived at her house, Cassandra unlocked the door, calling out to her Aunt "Aunty!" She called, and followed her aunt's voice to the kitchen.

"What are you doing home so early, Cassie?" She asked, at the sink, not turning to look, and therefore didn't know that Krista was there as well. "There were some wolves, and we thought it safer to come home then stay at the camp grounds. Krista and I are going to go out, and maybe get some lunch."

Vanessa smiled as she had almost reached for the middle of the second wall in less than two hours. ''Damn, we are hard workers.. We are like, almost finished! And yes, that sounds like a awesome idea... If you go first then I'll come after you in ten minutes, just tell her you have a little surprise for her and that she has to wait outside.. I really need to get my bag with presents for her'' Vanessa said and smiled.

Only owning one older brother, Vanessa had always seen Riley as her younger sister and always spoiled the girl to the bone when she had visited and now with all the traveling behind her back, she had gotten something special for Riley in every country. Vanessa ran upstairs, changed quickly and brushed her hair so it would look a little better but this time she braided her hair to the left. When she was done, she took her suitcase and grabbed the bag that was laying inside of it. The bag she had bought in Scotland and was handmade by a older lady which had also made a Tree of life emblem on it. She hoped Riley would like the bag, Vanessa had another one but then in a dark blue.

Ryan sighed as he got out of the RV, grabbed his stuff, and sat down on the sidewalk. He would have to call a family member to drive him home, since he had planned for the trip to be the full time. He pulled out his cell, which he had left in his bag, turned off, in case of the need to call home. He called home, the phone ringing a few times before his dad picked up. "Hey, dad... the trip ended early so I need you to come get me." He nodded, more or less, to himself, as his father responded. "I'll tell you why in the car." He waited a moment, listening to his father's response, and proceeded to respond in kind "Alright, see ya in a bit..." He ended the call, putting the cell back, and stood, looking to the others. "Any ideas what exactly we should tell people that know about the trip...?"

Griffith had a very good reason for not participating in the rest of the conversation with the vaguely familiar girl with a horse—once several of the others had showed up, just as miraculously uninjured as he was, he chose to slip off into his tent to change his clothes. Whatever course of action was next, he didn't want to be in a now-ruined shirt. Or his unmentionables from the previous day—but let us not speak to much of that. Indeed, he was mildly upset that the shirt was now ruined, but it was no great loss. It's better than bleeding to death. But, again, that lead to the question of why he did not have a hideous scar on his arm, and why he hadn't bled to death overnight.

He finished changing just as it was declared they would be leaving for home. He was a little upset, but not entirely surprised. In truth, he was still digesting the strange happenings of the prior night, and wasn't particularly suited to discussing them right now. Nor did he suppose the others were. We wait, then. He spent the time packing, and the ride back wrapped in thoughts of the attack—which didn't make any sense whatsoever.

He wasn't broken out of his distasteful reverie until after their return—by Ryan's question. "Well," Griffith said, "it wouldn't look good if we changed our story, so anyone who tells anyone else what actually happened better be sure they'll keep mum. Personally, I'd rather not spread it around until we have a grasp on what the actually happened." After a moment, he added, "I only know two things for sure: We need to talk about this—amongst ourselves—and the town is going to flip a collective shit if we get seen walking around dressed like we've been mauled. And besides, I don't think there'll be many people who'll believe we actually got mauled without some scars to back it up."

Sky panted heavily; ducking under a flying branch as her horse raced up the hillside. Her brunet hair was a mess and her hat lay bouncing by the chin cord against her back, while the sun above drew sweat from her brow and sent it in little rivers down into her eyes.
Her horse wasn't in much better of shape.

Galloping back towards her home Sky was panicking that she wouldn't make it to the Vet Clinic on time for her shift. There was a scheduled surgery today for a patient with a tumor, and due to low staff she was needed to assist. She had to be there.

Suddenly, breaking through a tree line, her horse came to a sliding stop and let out a deep huff. Sky nearly rammed foreword over the saddle, but eyes going wide she realized where they were. A glance to her watch said she only had an hour to get ready and head to town.

Ahead was a large clearing, and in it were two large buildings. One, was a gigantic red barn surrounded by pasture. The other, was a large white three story farm house with the classic large front porch; the kind with an old bench swing. The shutters were painted a deep forest green.

Finally, she had made it home.

Nudging her mount foreword Sky sucked in a breath of stiff relief, then reached down and patted her horse gently, "Sorry girl."
The equine paid no attention to her, but rather lifted her head and let out a shrill neigh. The sound caught the attention of the horses over in the pasture, and each answered before running up to the fence.

After a quick rub down and removal of tack, Sky let her horse loose with the others and reached up to wipe the moisture from her cheeks and eyes. The salt burned, and she blinked a few times before running off in the direction of the farm house.

Crashing through the door she kicked her boots off and hung her hat on a nearby wall peg, then shouted out, "Mom! I'm home!"

Rising from down the hallway, from the family room, came the expected reply, "Sky? It's about time you got back! Do you have any idea what time it is!"

Huffing Sky nodded and moved to race up the nearby stairs towards her room, "I'm well aware! Sorry mother!"

"Yah well.....you'll have to apologize to Mr. Brenant when you get to work. He's already called."

This made her come to a stop and go wide eyed, "He what?"

"He called asking where you were, didn't seem very happy."

Great......this was all she needed. If she was to ever become a Veterinarian she needed to keep things well with the Doctor. He was training her, and the more training she received the more likely she was going to succeed at college when the time came.

Making the world record for fastest shower and changing of clothes, Sky donned a purple t-shirt and jeans. Braiding her long brown hair back she made sure to cover the small scratch on her forehead where she had run into a branch on the way home, then she rushed downstairs.

Wiping the dirt from her boots she pulled them on and snatched her truck's keys from the nearby key box. But, before she left she paused, and glanced down the hall that led deeper into the house, "Mother? Has anyone in town ever been attacked by a wolf?"

There was a moment of silence, then her mother's voice replied, "Not that I know of dear. Why?"

"No reason....."

Sky didn't want to tell anyone about what she saw at the camp. The kids had been attacked but didn't show any signs of injury.....who would believe her if she told them?

Shaking her head Sky stepped out the door and ran across the gravel driveway towards an old green pickup truck. Jumping into the seat she started the engine, then drove off down the road towards town. She still had 30 minutes.....

Pushing the speed limit, Sky soon pulled up into the outskirts of town. Just ahead was the vet clinic.

It was a medium sized brick building, with large windows and two swing doors entering the front room. Rushing in Sky was greeted by the sounds of dogs barking, cats occasionally meowing......and the frustrated voice of her employer; Dr. Brenant.

Sucking in a breath she looked over the front desk at the secretary, an older woman with greying hair and glasses. She nodded, "Hurry on and go in; the most you could do right now to calm him is to get to work."

Sky blinked, then turned and walked towards the door that would lead her into the back rooms, where the cages and the operation tables were located. The Dr.'s voice was getting louder.

Sky groaned, "Another fabulous day at work."

Riley:

"I'm gonna go and take a quick shower, then i'll be in my room if you do need me dad." Riley said giving her father a loving kiss on the head before she turned around and headed upstairs the third floor of the bed and breakfast were used by her family and they had to share their bathroom. "Make sure you don't use up all the hot water for the guests!" Riley's father yelled up. "I got it old man I know the procedure!" Riley shook her head slightly as she went into her bedroom to grab a clean pair of clothes and then headed into the bathroom, Riley turned on the hot water and then stripped out of her bloodied clothes tossing the shirt into the trash can and Riley got into the shower. After about fifteen minutes in the shower Riley quickly got out of the shower and dried herself off, then she got dressed and headed into her bedroom. A few seconds later Riley got a text from her mother and headed back downstairs and outside to wait for her mother wondering what the present was.

Krista:

Krista looked over at Cassandra and then over at her grandma and smiled softly before finally speaking up. "It's good to see you again grandma." Krista said, having known her for so long Krista just started to call her that when she was little. Krista would then reach over to hold onto Cassie's hand. "We just heard really loud howling and stuff like that, so we didn't feel safe that night that's why we cut it short." Krista didn't want to tell anyone else and just wanted to talk to Cassandra and her friends about it. "Want to go now?" Krista asked looking at her with a smile.

Sarah:

"Sounds like a plan, and i'm sure Riley would be really excited to see you i'll go ahead and text her now." Sarah said as she reached down and took out her phone, taking a moment Sarah wiped some sweat off of her forehead and started to text her daughter. "I have a present for you, come outside when your ready." She hit send and waited patiently for Vanessa to come back down, Sarah looked at the gift that she had for her daughter and smiled. "It looks beautiful, i'm sure that Riley will fall in love with it." Sarah knew their relationship was close and even signed her as a guardian in case something happened to either her or Seth. "Lets head on over she will be waiting outside." Sarah said as she turned around and headed out of the house and back into her car.

Cassie nodded, giving her Aunt a hug, saying she would be back later, turning to Krista with a smile, "sure, I'm ready to go" she said brightly, not wsntimg her Aunt to grow suspicious and ask questions that they couldn't really answer. For now, Cassandra just wanted to just relax slightly, and have a little bit of fun. As she led the way out, Cassie crouched, and stroked their cat, before heading back outside

Vanessa smiled and was happy about the fact Sarah said Riley would love the present and then nodded. ''Yes, let's go'' she said with a smile and walked outside. She waited for Sarah to get outside, then locked the door even though it wasn't necessary in this town, she did it out of a natural habit. Then they walked to their cars and Vanessa got in her white pick up, once she asked Riley what color car she had to take when she had her licence and she had said white, as a joke yet since then all cars she had owned had been white. She didn't know why but somehow it felt wrong to own any other color.

She woke up her pick up and opened the window. ''Go ahead, I'll drive a little extra round so we won't arrive at the same time'' she said with a smile and Vanessa started to drive into the direction of the B&B but went left where she had to go right and drove a little around town, looking around and smiling, thinking about how Riley would react. She giggled and couldn't really wait anymore, she decided to drive to the house and didn't mind anymore if they would arrive at the same time. She wanted to see the girl she saw as her sister.

Ten minutes later she entered the street from the B&B and parked behind the car from Sarah, she saw them both on the porch and turned her key and turned off the engine.

After that she opened her door suddenly hearing a motorcycle and looked behind her she saw someone coming her way, just in time she managed to close her door but it would make her fall back in the car and get her feet between the door and the car. ''Auw!'' she kinda yelled and tears welled up in her eyes.

for everyone in Red Lake the day was beginning like normal.. mostly. pulling into the town, riding on the back of a loud motorcycle, that sounded like some growling creature was Kade. he wore no helmet. his hair having that wind blown effect to it. he caught glances as he drove through the streets. he had on a black leather jacket, and worn jeans. strapped to the back of his motorcycle, where usually a passenger would be sitting was his army green duffel bag.. inside, his clothes, the various Toiletries one needs, and in a black carrying case, his sidearm. the M9 Beretta, standard issue for all marines, currently it was unloaded, the chamber back and locked, with no clip loaded, though he had clips, three of them for it and each one full and ready for use, along with about four boxes of ammo.

his eyes looked around, noticed those that watched him as he gave a good show, revving the bike, making him roar and bringing a smirk to his previously tight lips. he knew where he had to go, the one that called him. speeding up a bit, he headed through the to small town, the kind of town where the arrival of Rebecca's Stone's grandson.. the soldier would not go unnoticed and in hours everyone would know he was back. when he arrived and parked outside the lawyer's office, the air grew quiet as he shut his bike off. taking a deep breath, he stood there for a moment, before he stepped onto the sidewalk, and headed for the door to the office.

"the will is pretty much straight forward, you get everything except those i just listed that are going to friends of hers and such but the majority of her assets go to you Mr. Graham" the lawyer said, looking up at Kade, who sat across from him at the table. "that is, the contents of her back account, not a sizable Inheritance, but enough for you to get settled" flipping the papers over. "her house of course was bought and owned by her, its yours now as well, and the contents of the house.. do you have any questions?" Kade nodded. "yes.. where was she buried? i know she had it down, she wanted laid with her husband and my parents, in the cemetery here, was that respected" the Lawyer nodded. "it was and im sorry that you couldnt be here for the funeral, we really didnt think you'd show up after i called.. no one's heard from you in a long time Mr. Graham" Kade wasnt in a mood to hear that or empty apologies either. "where and what do i need to sign so i can get out of here and get to my home?" and soon he was signing his name on paper after paper, cause apparently it took a lot of ink and name signing to get what belonged to his grandmother transferred to him, its rightful owner. after putting his own account number down the have the funds placed into his own account, he rose, shook hands with the lawyer and moved out of the office, and walked through the small lobby. he took a deep breath, before closing his eyes. walking past the receptionist desk, and not looking at her. "i'd get that dog bite checked out, its getting infected" walking out of the building now, stepping back out onto the sidewalk, as the receptionist stared at him, confused. the dog bite wasnt visible, it was on her leg, which was covered and hidden behind the desk.

once he was back on the road, the engine roaring underneath him as he drove down the street, heading toward home. driving was second nature, when you've driven military vehicles that had enough horsepower for anything you could need, a motorcycle was nothing, his mind was partly on driving and partly on that he'd just lost the last of his family, and he never got to see her funeral. when he came to the conclusion of going to the graveyard, his mind snapped him back to the present with a giant alert. as there was suddenly a car door right in front of him. luckly, both himself and the driver of said car acted fast enough. he hit the clutch and brake, slowing down just enough to not "bug on the windshield" the door before it was closed and he shot right past, but he pulled off the road, right in front of some B&B. Motorcycle still running, idling, the kickstand slammed down and he was off the side and stormed back to the car. "what the hell do you think you're doing!" that anger, bubbling right to the surface. what control he had, which was shaky at best, shattered when the adrenaline began pumping, and it had began pumping big time when he nearly became a blood spot on the pavement.

"What took you so long to get here! Our patient's been waiting nearly half an hour past its due prep time!"

Dr. Brenant's stern voice still rose from the back storage room, making Sky grimace and hurry to pull her blue scrubs over her clothing. Then, tugging on her boots she turned and approached one of the clinic's prep rooms.
it was a small white walled space, with a tall stainless steel table in the middle for the smaller animals to lay on while the assistant's prepped them for treatment. Cabinets and shelves filled with tools and different liquids or medications lined the walls.

Reaching up to re-braid her brown hair Sky called out to her employer, "I'm sorry Dr......I was held up at home."

As she moved to set things up for her assigned patient his angry voice replied. The man wasn't mean......he just got really tense when his animal patients were effected in any bad way, as Sky often did in similar situations.

"Please ensure that you arrive ON TIME tomorrow! The last thing I need around here is for you all to disappear; we've lost enough employees already."

The vet clinic......Sky couldn't say that it was in financial trouble.......more like willing workers trouble.
Over the past months they had lost multiple employees; due to some moving, retiring, and some younger teenagers just plain not enjoying the job. Too many were put off by the blood and gore often associated with animals. They sometimes got hurt alot worse than you would think.

Reaching up and grabbing a bottle of disinfectant wash, cotton rags, and a portable hair clipper, Sky hurried to set up her station.
Organizing it all on a stand next to the table she nodded, then moved away to retrieve her patient.

Sky walked out of the prep room down the back hall, to where the barks and occasional soft wines could be heard from the dogs in the back rooms.
Entering one, she came to view of a line of stainless steel dog cages; filled with patients already tended to from the day before, patients recovering from medical attention, and patients yet to be operated on or given medication.
Sky's sight rested on one of the lower cages and she sighed gently, "Alright Mesa; time to get that tumor looked at."

Bending down she looked through the front bars at an older female blood hound with white and brown splotches covering her body. The hairs around her eyes were greying with age and her face seemed to melt in some places. But what was very out of place, was the softball sized tumor on her left side.
Located under the skin it had to be very uncomfortable, and Sky winced before unlocking the cage and calling to the poor dog, "Come on."
She knew Mesa from many visits in the past, and knew she was a sweet cooperating canine.

The hound looked up at her with those sad eyes, then whined and stepped foreword out of the cage.
Sky wrapped her arms around her, careful of the tumor, and lifted the heavy dog into her arms before lugging her off towards the prep room.

Once inside, she gave Mesa a sedative and placed her on the prep table to sleep, while she disinfected the area on and around the bulbous tumor. Then, using the hair clippers, she cleaned all of the hair off and again disinfected the area.
Mesa was ready for surgery.......and Sky was sure Dr. Brenant was ready as well.

Moving the patient into the back room she took in a long breath; wrinkling her nose at the smell of rubbing alcohol and other fumes from the various liquids in the clinic. Here's to hoping the operation went well......for both her and Mesa.

With her not almost crushed foot Vanessa kicked open her door and she climbed out and leaned against her car and looked at the man on the motorcycle. ''Like you never forget to watch your back when you open a door'' she said and narrowed her eyes. ''Be happy that it didn't end in a crash you moron'' she continued and while leaning against her car, she grabbed her first aid kit and closed her door again, with an extra look behind and in front her to irritate the young man a little extra. Because if he thought that he could simply drive some two wheeled monster around in such a speed he was at the wrong address with Vanessa. She kicked out her shoe and kept her teeth on each other. ''okay that is at least bruised.. So be happy Okay, you got nothing and unharmed.. something with Karma'' she said and gave him now a smile

She then took a better look at the guy and started to laugh a little. ''My god.. Kade Graham.. What do we have in meeting and crashing? During our teenage years we crashed into each other during skating or when we both where riding our bikes... And now with our car and motorcycle.. We must stop meeting like this'' she said with a big grin. She hopped on one leg to the side walk and let herself sit down there so treat her foot. ''Sarah... Can you help?'' she said with a smile at her best friend. ''Lucky me the nurse is close by'' she joked a little.

Riley&Sarah

"Alright i'll meet you outside of my place." Sarah said with a smile as she walked back to her car and got inside of it, she then closed the door behind her and started up the engine. Sarah backed up her car as she watched Vanessa getting into her white truck and proceeded to drive down the opposite way back down the road she had come to, the drive was only a five minute one Sarah parked the car in the driveway and smiled seeing that Riley was sitting outside on the couch swing on the porch.

Riley quickly looked up putting her phone back into her pocket seeing her mother's car and smiled at her, she quickly got up and ran over towards her mother and gave her a loving hug. "So where did you go?" Riley asked, that's when she heard another car coming down the street and noticed that it was a white truck, her face quickly lit up and smiled knowing who it was right away and ran over towards the truck then she noticed a motorcycle coming by rather quickly and backed away just as the motorcycle passed her.

Sarah smiled and laughed slightly as she watched Riley running over towards Vanessa's truck, when she heard the motorcycle coming over and then the man running over to berate her friend. Sarah quickly approached them and stared at him for a moment before finally recognizing that it was Kade. "Long time no see huh?" Sarah said and looked down to see the bruise on Vanessa's foot and took the first aid kit she had taken out. "I remember the two of you used to do this all the time." Sarah laughed and watched Riley coming closer, she would then run over and hugged Vanessa tightly. "You never told you that you were coming home!" Riley said happily.

Krista:

Krista smiled and waved goodbye to Cassandra's aunt and then followed behind Cassie, she would lean down and gently gave the cat a pat on the head. She was never able to get a cat because of her parents being allergic to them. She would then follow Cassandra out and took a deep breath Krista would reach out and hold Cassie's hand and leaned in to give her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "So I guess this would be our first date then huh?" Krista said with a smile walking along side her as they headed down towards Red Lake Café, then Krista would open up a door and headed over towards a booth near the window and looked over at her and smiled.

Cassandra was suddenly nervous, as Krista spoke saying that it was their first date. She managed to nod, and smile, walking with her to the cafe. She followed her to the booth, her nerves calmed now. She returned Krista's smile, relaxing into the seat, "well then. What shall we talk about?" She asked, and reflected that perhaos she was still nervous.

Vanessa hugged Riley back and giggled some. ''Of course not silly, I needed it to be a secret and a big surprise and you don't know the biggest surprise yet'' she said and waited a moment before she would tell Riley she was staying for the rest of her life. She first looked at Sarah and grinned. ''Growing up doesn't mean that old habits are gonna leave you'' she said and giggled. ''And oh well, even though most of the time I'm the one ending at the first aid, I like too bump into Kade, he is most of the time very nice'' she said and looked at the guy. Yes, he had grown up into a fine man but she was sure he had seen some awful things as everybody knew he had served for the country.

The last summer they had met and bumped into each other, had been two years before Vanessa decided to take of after her last summer at her grand parents house, she had always loved her summers and even when she was old enough to not go anymore, she still had gone and loved her time in Red Lake. She though back about her summers but was taken away from her memory and squealed a little as Sarah putted something cold on her foot. ''Dang.. That is cold'' she said and sighed.

She then looked at Riley. ''Could you grab the green leather handmade bag with a tree of life on it for me?'' she asked and when Riley came back with the bag and wanted to give it to her she raised a brow and shook her head. ''No no, it is yours.. Inside there are presents from the countries I've been too and before you open that I wanna ask you if you wanna help me re-paint the house of my grand parents... I loved them and as a kid I kinda liked the flowers but to live in it myself is just.. Too flowery'' she said with a giggle and waited for Riley to get the meaning behind her question.

Kade lept back when the door to the white truck was kicked open, its driver climbing out, hopping on one foot as she leaned against it. "no i dont forget to watch my back, where i've been you do that, and you get a bullet in the back of it" the anger still front and center, and she was not helping it out, and then came the moron comment. his eyes narrowed as he glared at her, those Hazel eyes of his with the Chestnut color around the pupil looked down when she mentioned her ankle being bruised, he'd seen worse. "yea yea, Karma" this chick was annoying. he could see two more coming this way from the place, and with a look he saw it was some sort of B & B, though is attention was snapped back when the annoying one said his name, and he finally got a good look at her, at the same time she was looking at him, and he groaned. "Vanessa Heartstrong" his anger being tempered a bit, that he could slid it back behind the small amount of control he had over it. "i should have guessed it was you, your the only one in all of Red Lake that could run into me, just as i got back into town" nodding then. "we could try but Karma as you said might not let us stop meeting like this, and the bike time, that was completely your fault, you crashed into me" pointing that fact out, just as Sarah came up. "oh" nodding. "Yes Ma'am a long time indeed, and we didnt do anything" smirking a bit, looking at Vanessa. "she, would run into me.. my grandmother.." going quiet for a moment, remembering he would have any of her folksy wisdom anymore. "uh... when i complained as a kid, she told me Vanessa was just crushing on me, its why she kept running into me"

he leaned against the hood of the trunk now, watching Mrs. Sarah apply the cold compress to the swollen ankle, as Vanessa talked to Little Riley Stark. he remembered her, vaguely but he did remember her, underclassmen and all, plus small town, everyone knew everyone. he leaned there, listening and watching, thinking from what he heard that Vanessa had taken off to, probably not in the same way he had, but to go explore the world no doubt. when she made the comment about being a nice guy, he had been.. before, and the war and service hadnt changed him that bad, just.. after that Massacre with his friends, leaving him the only one alive.. he was more angry after that, prone to outbursts, even to superior officers, which is why he got the General Discharge. "about the yelling, before Vanessa that really wasnt about you" not really he added in his head. "i just came from from the lawyer's office, my grandmother died while i was overseas. i was pretty much a powder keg searching out a match after leaving that place" crossing his arms over his chest, breathing, breathing helped with the anger. when she asked Riley if she wanted to help her paint her own grandparents house. "if your looking for anymore help, i'll help you out.. seeing as i almost bit your head off for nearly turning me into a bug on the asphalt.. least i can do"

Vanessa looked at Kade as he told them what his grandmother always told him about the bumping into him and giggled some. ''No, That actually wasn't the reason because if that was the reason I wouldn't have tried so bad to beat you with running, soccer, tree climbing and more'' she said. ''But would have reacted the same as those fashion-dolls that camped at the lake during the summers and just simply not even do my best.. My mother always said that beating a guy in a match wasn't the way to win his heart... Food is though'' she said with a grin and teasingly stuck out her tongue at him.

When he said that his grandmother had just died she swallowed and when Sarah was done with the compress and it was stuck to her ankle with a bandage she got up using her car and hopped over to Kade, without asking for permission she laid a hand on his shoulder and one around him. ''I am sorry to hear that, I know how much she meant for you'' she said and held him in this hug for a few seconds, then let go of him and hopped back so she could also lean on the car. ''I appreciate it that you wanna help, I am going to need someone strong for the furniture and helping me with building the cabinets and tables'' she said with a smile. ''But not because of our crash, not at all... Only if you want and of course I'll help you with your house if you feel the urge to change something'' she said and smiled at him.

She looked at him with a smile, yes of course his grandmother had been right... But he always had been a pretty handsome man, as teenager he already was strong but also kind, maybe sometimes a little hot headed but that she exactly liked about him, since she knew exactly how to make him annoyed enough to start a new match with her till he won, not that she always won but she did win pretty much. She shook her head and looked at Sarah, she knew about her crush on this young man and simply hoped that she wouldn't spill anything about it.

Taking a moment she leaned herself back in the seat and looked through the menu, before hearing Cassandra as she asked what she wanted to talk about. "Well I know one thing I don't want to talk about without the others." She said remembering the night before. "I was just curious when you know, you started to like me?" Krista asked with a soft smile, and watched as the waitress walked over to them and smiled. "What would the two of you like to drink?" She asked. "I'll have an iced tea." Krista answered looking over towards Cassie.

Sarah & Riley:

Riley looked at Vanessa for a moment when she asked her to grab a bag that was inside the back of the truck, she would nod and smile. "Sure thing." Riley said with a happy smile and opened the back door to the truck cab to pull out the green bag seeing the golden tree clasp on it. When Riley got out she was going to hand it over to her, for a moment she was jealous of the bag that Vanessa had gotten it looked really pretty, then her face instantly lit up when Vanessa finally told her that it was actually hers and went to give her friend a very tight hug. "Thank you Vanessa!" Riley was really happy, her eyes looking up to Kade she was really little the last time she saw him, and knew very little about him. Then her attention went back to Vanessa and nodded. "I'd love to go and help out, just tell me whenever you are ready to, I think a few of my friends are willing to help out as well."

Sarah smiled when she finished tying up the compress she closed up the first aid kit and set it into the bed of the truck, looking between Kade and Vanessa she would smirk at the two of them, but she remained quiet about it and leaned herself up against the side of Vanessa's truck.

Kade leaned against the bumper, his Motorcycle over there, idleing, waiting. his eyes watching Sarah help with Vanessa's ankle. Kade smirked, his arms crossed over his chest causally. "i remember that, it was always a competition with you" he could remember that, all of that and every time he'd won, she could get him so annoyed that they'd be doing whatever it was again. "i think my grandmother said something like that.. best way to a man's heart is threw his stomach, which wont be hard for me i guess, i've been eating nothing but MRE's or Mess hall food.. if we go by that logic, anyone brings me a delicious Pie im probably going to have to marry" making a small kidding joke as he then, when Sarah was done affixing the compress, Vanessa was hopping over, her hand on his shoulder, he looked at her, nodding. "thank you" before he wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug, letting her go. his grandmother had been the last relative he had, with her gone.. that was it, it was down to him.

Smiling when Riley sounded eager to help, and when Vanessa said she'd need someone strong for the furniture and building cabinets he nodded. "i can help with that, and not really cause of the crash, it will give me something to do, i might be out of the Marines but they arnt out of me yet, i still get up early, expecting to do patrols or convoys so, you'll be giving me a purpose" smiling when she mentioned his house. "if i changed anything, my grandmother would come back from the dead to kill me, i dont want to risk that. she, might go after Accomplices" he looked back with a half grin thing he had back in high school, as he leaned there, watching her. he didnt expect to run into anyone his own age when he got back, most of his generation when they graduated got the hell out of dodge and didnt look back. best he'd expected was the older generations or the younger, kid ones.. it was nice to have someone around his own age, and with it being Vanessa, it made being a Civvie a lot better.

Kade looked up, toward the B&B. "Sarah, the phone is ringing inside" having heard it from on the street, he blinked and looked back to the group.

Vanessa giggled some about him mentioning his grandma would kill him if he changed something. Yeah, that could be right.. And that would still be doing something she didn't want. ''Hmm.. Maybe a pie could be your treat after work'' she said with a grin, her grandma had learned her to bake and when she wasn't busy with drawing / sketching new clothes or making them, she loved too bake stuff or make a good meal.

''Anyway.. I have a nice project for you'' she said as she looked at Kade with a smile. ''Because, believe it or not.. I am a fashion designer and I need a place to design and make my stuff.. And sell it.. So I would like too invite you over for dinner, a good home made meal of course, and then you can take a look around in the house and tell what the best options are'' she said and then looked at Sarah and Riley. ''And of course you and your family are invited too!'' she said, maybe a bit to fast and blushed a little.

She was glad to have Sarah still living here now she was back and now that Kade was back, so would maybe have a friend back.. Yet she didn't know for sure yet because of the history of her, indeed, having a crush on him.. He had turned into a very handsome man, that could trigger her crush to return.. Last time she had seen her male classmates from high school, at least those from which she thought she had crushed on them, they turned out to be fat, bold and pretty ugly.. Not that she would mention someone as ugly just.. Less Attractive. She frowned as he said something about a phone, how could he hear that? She was closer by the house and didn't hear anything.. She then raised a brow at him. ''Did the Marine give you special hearing plugs? Cause I thing you forgot to give those back'' she said in a joke.

Slight awkwardness overcame Cassie, and she could feel her cheeks reddening, as she glanced at the table. She ordered a drink, of juice, and waited for the waitress to leave. She seemed to be trying to think of what to say, and she looked up eventually, "um. Well...I guess...For a long time. I never really had any problems, being Bi...my Aunt's very...open and supportive, but I suck at knowing if someone else is interested in me or just being nice. So....I never acted on any impulse...I guess...probably since I was 12. Well, that's when I first realised the crush I had on you"

She smiled slightly, remembering her own silliness.
