I really did sew thin metal plates into that spring jacket.
It actually saved me a couple times(I end up in the wrong end of the neighborhood a lot for work before I quit)

Jax is a tomboy with a spunky personality. She loves to work on mechanical things and will do it occasionally until she passes out. This girl is mostly kind and personable but hates when the guys make fun of her for the girly things she can’t help. Her boobs for example. She acts tough whenever she can but often accidentally shows her sweet side to the others. When she gets angry enough she’ll lash out violently, most of the time with her wrench. Otherwise, she is not easily angered unless you seriously injure someone she gives a damn about.

Weapon of Choice: A wrench like this

This steampunk pirate has a cybernetic eye/telescope/eye patch that allows her to zoom in and have a better view of her targets when she shoots or throws her heavy wrench, which she can wield with ease as if it weighs nothing. Her eye telescope thing also allows her to see in the dark through one eye. Little is known about her past, she doesn't like to talk about it, but more will be revealed in time.

Personality looks fine, don't fuss too much. :P

Just straighten it up a little (put the form in bold, it helps my OCD). Also, we decided we're going to stick to more dated firearms, such as black-powder, so you'll have to change her zap gun to something else. Other then that, everything is fine.

I was thinking of my character having duel pistols, but since you said you're looking for black powder firearms, would black powder revolvers be okay? Or are we sticking to flintlock style weapons?

I am not an expert. I believe flintlocks were popular in the late 1700's, though, so I would say it's acceptable either way because it's still an older fashion. So whatever you prefer; I'll work with you.

Flintlocks use gunpowder, yes. All firearms use gunpowder, black powder was just a type of gunpowder that lost favorability over the gunpowder we use today, as it produced tons of smoke and fire when shot.
