[OOC] RWBY: Innocence Lost (Two players dropped out, need replacements)

RWBY: Innocence lost will be a high-casual roleplay set in an alternate version of the RWBYverse. It's only slightly different, in that the main heroes and villains of the show don't exist, and the differences are mostly only to pave the way for this group to be the heroes of the story. It will be significantly darker and more mature than the show has so far exhibited, as the name might suggest, and will start with the characters entering the forest to get their teammates. I will not be playing a player character, rather I will be controlling the world around the players as well as taking direct control of major NPC's. (Minor ones I may use to advance plot, but the players can feel free to control them unless I say otherwise.) Please be able to post at least once a day if you're interested in this, I'll set up a main thread when/if four people express their interest.

Name: Grigori Zoloti

Race: Faunus (Echidna)
Appearance: Grigori is a large and imposing man for his age, already possesing a physique that would leave some quite envious. His body has little fat and is largely muscle, complemented by the fair tan of his skin. His faunus trait is apparent to anyone who can see his bare back or arms, as they are covered in large golden spines. These spines are averaged to be two feet in length and two inches in diameter, all extremely durable and sharply tipped. He often wears tank-tops to cause the least restriction to these spines, and heavy denim jeans for their sturdiness. His hair is always kept short, though since Grigori cuts his own hair it is often messy. It is a sparkling gold in the sun and a dark blonde in the shade, with slight black streaks running through it. His larger facial bones and broad chin suit him well, framing his charming golden eyes, small nose, and thin lipped mouth nicely.

Personality: Grigori is most often very relaxed and peaceful. He enjoys spending time with pleasant people and having fun, not known for acting tough or mean despite his appearance. When angered or during combat, Grigori can become hyper-aggressive, having been reported to be laughing uncontrollably during fights in which he got carried away.
Weapon: A pair of identical spiked gauntlets made of high grade steel. The gauntlets were designed to fit vials of dust in them as an energy source for blades, projectiles, or other applications.
Semblance: Semblance of Draining - Grigori's semblance allows him to drain energy from his opponent when in close proximity and use it to bolster his own attack and maneuverability. The closer his proximity, the more energy can be drained. Physically touching his opponent allows him to drain vast amounts.
Backstory: Grigori was born and raised in the kingdom of Vacuo, constantly forced to live in harsh conditions. Born a faunus, he was tormented through his childhood, causing him to grow strong mentally to withstand the bullying. This continued until he was old enough to join Vacuo's huntsman academy, where he began strengthening his body as well. Grigori took a liking to the combat style of boxing through his training, deciding to create a pair of gauntlets to use as his huntsman weapons to complement this style of offense. During his years at Vacuo's academy Grigori learned of his semblance and how to use it effectively, quickly becoming famous throughout the school for his combative prowess. As his time there came to an end, Grigori decided to continue his education at Vale's Beacon academy. He emigrated to Vale shortly after graduating, saying goodbye only to his family and hoping to actually be able to make friends in a new kingdom.

Name: Rost Sorge
Age: 17
Race: Human
Appearance: Rost has a slim and fit, build allow for agility as well as some power. His dirty blonde hair, which contrast well with reddish hue skin, is often seen pulled back into a ponytail. His brown eyes can often be found staring off into nothingness. Rost's facial features are little more feminine than he would like, so he often has stubble on his face in order to compensate for the lack of masculine. Rost wears a red button up with a collar, and it has a brown thorn bush pattern on it. The shirt is left unbuttoned to reveal his torso which he covers with white bandages. His wears worn out jeans with holes in them. He always carries his twin blades in hand, usually resting them on his shoulders. Every movement Rost makes flows nicely together never seeming to be stiff.

Color: Reddish Brown
Personality: Rost often seems to be extremely relaxed even during stressful situations. Rost enjoys working with others, but he rarely has faith in others' abilities. He isn't very talkative, and avoids deep conversations. Rost will often comply with any order, but he will try to fulfill them in the way he finds most interesting.
Weapon: Twin swords that are two halves of one blade. They can be used separately or together. They are held in a single sheath that can attach to his right forearm, and fan out into a shield.
Semblance: Rust (can corroded iron and steel)
Backstory: Rost was born from a mother who died during childbirth. Rost's father was a hunter, so he was not around very much, and when he was, he would avoid looking at his own son. Rost asked his nanny why his father hated him. She responded that he did not hate Rost, but in fact loved him very much. The only problem is that Rost reminded his father of his mother, and that brought him much pain. Rost thought the explanation made sense, since his father did not keep any photos of his mother. Rost doesn't even known what his mother even looked like. His nanny said she was beautiful, and he got his good looks from her. The next time his father came home Rost decided to follow him when he left. Rost followed his father onto an airship without being seen. Everyone was kind of distracted, every thing was in disarray, so it wasn't hard to sneak past them. After the airship landed Rost found his way out only to see complete mayhem. There were hunters and huntresses everywhere fighting the Grimm. Rost saw his father and began to run towards him out of fear. Before Rost realized it, he was standing face to face with a giant Ursa. Rost froze out of fear, and as he watched the monster's giant claw bear down on him, he closed his eyes. Rost felt a great impact, but no extreme pain; instead it felt like he was being embraced. Forcing his eyes open, Rost saw his father hunched over him. Rost noticed a large amount of blood draining from his father's back and begun to cry. As Rost sobbed, his father placed his hand upon Rost's head and looked him straight in the eyes. Rost was shocked, he couldn't remember the last time his father made eye contact with him. Rost father's last words were, "I love you son. I'm sorry for not being around more," his father died shortly after. At that moment Rost decided to become a hunter, so he could get strong enough to protect others.

Personality:
Ezmeralda is a feminine, empathetic and maternal young woman with thick skin and a soft voice. She follows her heart and never changes her mind once she believes in something and will do anything to get what she wants to achieve. While she is caring and protective of many ranging from strangers to loved one, she is not a gentle person, and those who mean to harm others will see she can be unapologetically angry, unforgiving, vengeful and even petty.

The Wind’s Serenade

The Wind's serenade is a pair of bladed fans it has an elegance and dangerous feel to it. Compact but yet dangerous, especially when paired with her Semblance.

It has two form.
Fan formation which is at it most dangerous, which allows her to slash and use her Semblance to create giant gust of winds.

The dagger formation while weaker compared to the fan formation has the ability to stab enemies and to hang off it when it stabs into something, easily supporting her weight. This formation is more of a utility tool compared to the other form.

Semblance:
Ezmeralda semblance allows her to create, shape and manipulate air. She can create mini tornadoes and burst of compressed air. She can decrease wind resistance to run faster and jump higher, she can increase wind resistance to soften a landing for herself and others.

Backstory:
Ezmeralda was born and raised in Vale. Her mother was a Huntress, as well as all the women in her family. So the moment Ezmeralda was born her life was already decided. She embraced her future of hunting. The little free time her mother had she trained her in all the ways to survive her encounters with grimm and dangerous people. She was raised to believe in what it means to be a huntress, to protect the innocent and destroy the guilty. Her family's training technique was to make every woman into a living weapon. Her mother and grandmother often brought her hunting trips to see what it means to be a huntress. She remembers theses times with both fear and nostalgia, she remembers loving spending time her family, but has always feared when she got seriously injured when they make her fight grimm by herself and only lending a hand when the grimm was about to kill her. But she never saw anything wrong with this way of teaching since her mother went through it and her mother's mother went thought the same thing. And, it made her one of the few in her academy to directly fight and kill grimm without supervision and by herself. Her childhood had made her kind yet dangerous. As expected of her.

She signed up for Beacon so she can be the Huntress that is expected of her.

Name: Xuě Jin Chu

Age: 17

Race: Human

Appearance: Xue has a lean athletic build with no majorly defined muscle groups showing as he mostly lean muscle over bulk. Even though he is lean his muscles do show to a point as there just is not enough body fat to cover them up which is also the reason he has a six pack without much trying. He has snow white hair which is cut short on the sides with some length on the top to allow it to be manageable as when he started to grow it out it will become curly and messy. He has dark grey tired looking eyes which can often be mistaken for blue shaded eyes. Xue enjoyed wearing white tank tops with a blue trim around the edges paired with grey cargo pants with three pockets running down either side of his pants along with black combat boots to finish out his look.

Personality: Xue is a cheerful person who enjoys other people's company and has a bad habit of trying to hard to impress girls. He has a disillusioned vision of what it is to be a huntsmen and believes that once he becomes a hunter he will gain glory and fame by traveling around destroying Grimm when they attack.

Weapon: Blizzard's Fury- Xuě's weapon is a two-sided scythe attached to a five foot staff. Each blade faces the other way away from each other and are able to fold into the staff portion of the weapon so that when not in use his weapon is just a staff that can be held on his back. Located at both ends of the staff is a container where small vials of dust can be stored to either supplement the blades of the scythe or can be fired as a projectile.

Semblance: Xue is able to control the effects of gravity on objects or people within a two foot radius of his person. He can use his semblance on himself to reduce the pull of gravity allowing him to move faster or on his opponents to slow them down due to the increased gravity on their bodies.

Backstory: Xue Jin Chu is the first hunter from his family in three generations. Xue was raised in the Kingdom of Vale where he always heard stories of huntsmen and huntresses growing up which gave him an imagination for fantastic adventures and battles. His family did not approve of the dangerous profession at first and discouraged it whenever he brought it up. Over several years of nagging and pestering, they finally gave in to Xue and he was allowed to attend Signal Academy where he learned the basics to becoming a huntsmen and where he created Blizzard's Fury. Once he graduated from Signal he was accepted into Beacon Academy to his excitement where he would be able to become a full-fledged Huntsmen.

@Bornlucky Well I can only thing two possible acronyms that are pronounceable with our team letters, and that is GREX and XERG. Turns out grex is actually a word referring to a group of plants that came from the same hybrid parent group. Although, the first letter should that of the leader of the team. In the end, Inferno could give us a team name of his choosing.
