Anyhow, technology is current, maybe just a tad bit advanced, but nuthin crazy. This isn't the future, just modern day.

Matthew, underneath his mask and hood, is a fair-skinned young man with a rugged complexion, various scars dotting his face, along with dark hazel eyes and dark raven hair, which is rather messy and cut short.
Weaponry/Equipment

• Desert Eagle x2
  The powerful combat pistol, the Desert Eagle...wielded in both hands. Sure, this would always end in broken bones for the regular user, but technique and skill negates this. The trick is twitching your wrist with each shot, and having calloused flesh and tough bones. The Desert Eagles are the standard steel-like silver, holstered on both hips in mottled black holsters. They are fitted with .50 cal ammunition, the ammunition itself strewn across his body in a bandolier, which wraps down his torso, and in ammunition packs along his cargo pants. The Eagles have been fitted with an inner-mechanized silener, which makes the large CRACKS and BANGS into softer PINGS. The silencers can be rolled out with only a click along the barrel. They can be turned from semi-auto to automatic with a button, as well, located on the butts.
  
  These are his main weapons, and due to being a natural, prodigal crackshot...he almost never misses a target. Don't get in his crosshairs. As well, he tends to use weapons from the enemies he kills, as a sort of temporary thing.
• Armor/Knives
  Matthew's armor is made of looted Kevlar and steel plating, made to be bullet, piercing, and blunt-proof; having been test-ran on a bunch of thugs guarding the armor for a corrupt trader. Matthew spray-painted the crimson bat on the middle of the chest, to represent his alias. Hidden on the armor, sewn into the folds, are razor-sharp trench-knives - multiple of them. They can be thrown with deadly accuracy, or used in close-combat situations.
• Fighting
  Having been trained by his now dead mentor, Matthew is a highly experienced combatant, blending a variety of different martial arts into a brutal, direct, and streamlined way of fighting that easily blends in the usage of his trench knives and heavy-powered combat pistols.
• Vehicle
  His vehicle is a custom-made motorcycle. Dark-colored and stream-lined, it is fitted with a nitro engine, upgraded gas mileage, and dermal armor all along it's base; along with a bullet-proof visor and tires. With a click of the keys, it will zoom towards Matthew at it's maximum speed, allowing him to use this as both a weapon and as a quick-get-away.

History
Matthew's history starts out like a lot of sob stories, but doesn't end as one. Originally an orphan, Matthew ran away from the corrupt building after numerous fights with the bullies there, and the abuse from the patrons. He was around...five at that time? Five or six. Wandering the corrupt city for a few years hardened the young boy. He became street smart, as skilled with a knife as he was with stealing that loaf of bread from Jack's stall. Sadly, while trying to steal a shiny new knife from a street vendor, he was caught by a middle-aged man with a beard and a mohawk. The man turned out to be someone called Gregory Halls, and he was what you would call...a vigilante. Apparently, he didn't like seeing a ragged and bloodied orphan scoundering the streets, and took the boy under his wing.

Long story short, the Crimson Bat was created after Greg was killed in a raid, and the Matthew has, for the past six years, been working in an underground 'HQ' as a vigilante.
