"Well..... let's find a comfortable spot and we can talk for a bit. Perhaps tomorrow's test will be a bit hard for you if you have not done much reading. Reading and art are two of my favorite subjects." Bessie spoke as she walked to the living room area on the guys side.
"I can help you prepare for it if you would like....."

"Well, if you like," Rowan said. "Although I do mean that earnestly, that I feel I know very little about you."

Rowan did mean this, and for reasons he could not ascertain he was interested in her. Well, he could not at the moment define interested in. Not that he wanted to, as that would perhaps maybe lead to an awkward conclusion. Although that wouldn't lead to an awkward conclusion for any special reason. Putting all that aside, he would learn more about her.

Once they reached the sitting area, Bessie sat down on one of the chairs.
"Do you know anything about any of the literature greats? I mean like William Shakespeare,George Orwell, or perhaps Edgar Allen Poe? If not there are movies that we can watch instead of reading the books. It would be quicker than reading the actual books plus the ones that the Academy has are very accurate and well acted."

Bessie wondered what kind of a response she would get.

"Huh, what? Oh, that's what you want to talk about," Rowan said. "Then I'll just have to say, I don't really don't know what you're talking about. I mean, I meant to say, I don't read much."

Whatever the case, Rowan didn't found out much about Bessie. She didn't decide to tell him anything about herself. Perhaps he had simply forgotten that she was a tutor, and nothing more. Truth be told, he didn't know those three names she mentioned. He could tell that they were important, though. He wasn't so sure what a movie was, but there was a likely chance that saying so out loud would be problematic. He had been problematic enough today.

"Anyway," Rowan said. "Tell me more about these writers."

"If you like scary or horror short stories, Poe would be the best one to read. If you like and understand old English, then I suggest Shakespeare. But since you are not a reader, let's have a movie later. We can make pizza and have some rootbeer while we watch a couple of Poe's short stories.
I'll tell you a bit about myself then you can ask me questions about what you would like to know. Hmmm.....I am the youngest daughter of three children that my parents had. My siblings followed my parents steps and I have yet to figure out what I wish to do after I get of high school. I prefer to be reading or doing one of my many crafts. I made this necklace and this outfit." Bessie smiled as she mentions her accomplishments.

"My parents and siblings rarely call me so I really don't know what is going on there. They sent me here in my eighth grade and I have yet to go home. Not that I am complaining. I get a good allowance and have a charge card to use so I can have basically anything I want. It just has to be shipped in. I like taking pictures and doing things on the laptop like editing my pictures........ I only wish to get a pet of some kind but that is not allowed."

"But, you don't ever miss home? You've been away from it for so long that it must feel as if it isn't home anymore," Rowan said. "It's your siblings loss for not contacting you. But, um, thank you for telling me all that. I'll accept your offer. We can do that thing you recommended."
