Reason for joining the Outcasts: Samuel did not follow their murderous ways. They killed people for doing the slightest thing wrong. They were savage, brutal, and unkind. He left because that wasn't living, that was dying even quicker.


Skills: Excellent hand to hand combat, as well as long range. His preferred weapon, an Elvish War Bow.

Good at scaling large or small things. A skill he picked up having his previous tribe be in a mountainous region.

Good at rationing. Food is scarce so he was forced to ration severely. At first it was hard, but he picked it up quickly.


Motto/Catchphrase: Go through the pain. Don't stop. Stopping only makes it harder to resume.

Appearance: Having traveled around on his own for a rather long time, Nivaar has permanently
tanned skin stretched over a lean frame. His hair use to be golden blonde, but the over exposure to the sun
has bleached it to an almost greyish-blonde. He's never seen without the green gemstone earring in his left ear.



Reason for joining the Outcasts: He's been very good at keeping that to himself, however he does
claim his half heritage didn't help.
Skills: Skilled forager, knowing what wild plants can be eaten and what animals are safe to consume.
With what little supplies he has, Nivaar has learned how to make some pretty tasty meals. Being a 'halfie',
he's had to deal with a lot of bullying and punishment while growing up. While not the best fighter, he's a
stubborn bastard that can take a beating.

Appearance: A bit taller then most, he stands at roughly 6'6. He has a sort of lanky looking figure, though it is often hidden by his long brown cloak. Under this garment though he is paled skinned, with sharp features. His forearms, legs and part of his abdomen and neck are covered in an hard shell like substance, though they do not deter his range of movement. Like his insect counterpart, the mantis, he does in fact have wings, though they are too light and he too heavy for him to fly, though if high enough he may perhaps glide (He has never tried). His eyes are a unsettling yellow, which he usually hides behind thick goggles as to not offend those unaware. His hair is a pale blond tinted the slightest bit green. He has thin antenna, which he also usually hides under his hood. His teeth are jagged and small, and his tongue a nearly black color. Despite all this his most striking features are his extra appendages. Two arms forming under his more human looking ones, which he keeps wrapped around his waist. They, unlike his others, have the same claw like end as a proper mantis' does. While they are quite hard they can cut through wood at best, and that is to consider that a lot of wood around these parts is brittle/rotten as can be.

Reason for joining the Outcasts: Adopted into the tribe non Insect-kind.

Skills: A fantastic shot with his custom built rifle. A fantastic though albeit "unique" inventor/tinkerer.

Reason for joining the Outcasts: A life of crime leads to a life of pain. Cameo received harsh punishments whenever she was caught stealing, leaving the scars on her body. One day she broke the law just once too often and, after being beaten within an inch of her life, she was left in the desert to die. The Outcasts found her, fixed her up, and she joined them.

Skills:
  • Stealth - Small and quiet, she can pass by all but the most observant watchers unseen.
  • Lockpicking - There are few locks that can keep a determined Elfling out.
  • Tinkerer - The same small nimble hands that make her such a great lockpicker also give her a leg up on other races when it comes to tinkering with machines.
  • Rebreather - Her wounded lungs are supported by a breathing apparatus that also increases her survivability in areas with breathing hazards.

Reason for joining the Outcasts:

In his youth, Vlor's cheiftain was slaughter by a neighboring Low Orc warlord who claimed the tribe and it's lands. Years of death and abuse lead to an insurrection lead by Vlor's father, the former tribe's blacksmith. The insurrectionist forces were snuffed out quickly, leading Vlor to exile. Years of wandering the wastes lead to Vlor taking up bounty hunting, an easy task compared to normal Orcish hunting. Years of raiding bandit holds and raider keeps lead Vlor to the Outcasts.

Skills:

- Hunter: High Orcs only hunt big prey, and do it very well. No beast of the sands can withstand an Orcish hunting party.

- Tracker: Along with hunting, Orcs have learned the ways of the sands quickly and can find they targets easily. Footsteps in the sand, disturbed dunes, or the simplest signs can lead an Orc the right way for miles.

- Brutal Brawler: Even High Orcs start combat training in their youths. At age four a young Orc will be put through some of the hardest regiments of training since before the sands stretched past the horizons. By their twenties, a single High Orc can take a team of human raiders and war-beasts head on. High Orcs train mostly in axes and bows, but since Vlor's father was a blacksmith he learned some more exotic ways of killing.

Motto: "If you spill blood on the sands, it is a good day. If you spill water on the sands, you are a dead man."

Notes: "High Orcs" are genetic relatives of "Low Orcs". High Orcs are known for having more peaceful and isolationist tribes then Low Orcs. Low Orcs thrive on conquest and bloodlust, while High Orcs simply wish to be left alone and survive. Few physical differences can be made between the two species.

Appearance:

Sonya has a deceivingly feminine build, with seemingly slight arms that in fact are incredibly strong and often smudged with grease as well as an ample chest and hips. Her eyes burn with intelligence and curiosity and a small manic streak. Two horns protrude from her head and curl around slightly. Her hair is a silvery gray and reaches about midway down her back when left free, though it's usually kept in a tight braid or messy bun. Lips that naturally smile and a nose with a small but noticeable crook -the result of not being fast enough out of the way of a flying lever- accentuate her face and compliment her fair skin. She has a toolbelt that seems to have an infinite number of pockets and pouches, and sports a duster coat that only adds to the pocket count.

Reason for joining the Outcasts: Born before the Calamity, Sonya had a natural inclination to tinker and to learn. Her thirst for knowledge lead her to delve ever deeper into tomes and texts, some of them forbidden. The Calamity however, interrupted that. Priceless tomes were lost to the sands, and all she had left of her life was a wrench, a bow, and two pistols.

She wandered for years, decades, centuries? Time lost meaning to her. It was a miracle she survived as long as she did, unaccustomed to desert life as she was. Why she lived as long as she did regardless of her survival skills is an even greater mystery, and one she has nothing approaching a satisfactory answer to. A tribe found her and "adopted" her, but soon took displeasure with her reckless pursuit of any knowledge or machinery from the old world. This continued for years and resentment between herself and the tribe grew boiling hot until one day -after smacking one tribal in the head with a wrench to stop him destroying a gadget she'd never seen before- they snapped. Barely escaping with her life, Sonya found her way to the Outcasts, where her natural inclination to head straight into dangerous technological ruins in search of salvage, ammunition, or simply adventure made her a natural candidate to become a Dweller.

Weapons:
  • Two five shot pistols that have been hers since before the collapse. Tried and true, they've never failed her.
  • A powerful compound bow, also from before the collapse, can send an arrow cleanly through a shield and the person behind it, with velocity to spare when it comes out the other side.
  • Combat wrench- while still useful for adjusting bolts, this monkey wrench has a decidedly more martial purpose as well, as evidenced by the large skull-crushing spike that juts from one end.





Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude, she could assemble an engine blindfolded.
  • Marksmanship, be it with her crossbow, or the two pistols she's held on to for as long as she can remember, Sonya is a deadly shot.
  • Seduction, because sometimes a flash of cleavage is what's needed to win someone over to her side.

Reason for Joining the Outcasts: She was first a member of a tribe composed of elves and drow, but the drow were very badly mistreated and forbidden from learning any kind of magical or technological skills, essentially making them slaves to the so called "high elves." Naia did not approve of this and began teaching herself how to work devices after stealing a simple device from her "Mentor" at age 9. She quickly learned all she could from that and began stealing more and more until she was finally caught at age 19 and banished from the tribe forever. In the desert she quickly discovered she was not a good forager and would have died if the Outcasts had not found her. She soon worked her way up to a position of high respect in the tribe by fighting and fixing whatever she could.

Weapons: Naia mostly uses her fists but also has a dagger that was secretly passed down through her family. It is made of a very dark metal and is engraved with ancient Drow characters with a tiny jewel in the hilt.

Skills: Naia is an excellent leader and fighter, although most of the time those two overlap. She is also good at figuring out how things work on a basic level and using that knowledge to her advantage. Her greatest strength lies in her ability to read other people's emotions and guess how they will react to different situations, which she also uses to her advantage. Because of her nearly ebony skin she is able to hide in shadows very well and her natural Drow agility, as well as her practice with thievery, makes her a formidable and nearly invisible opponent when she wants to be.

Motto/Catchphrase: You fear the shadows, but to me they are kin.

Name: Follows-the-night-winds

Race: Ajzahki - More commonly known as Dunewalkers by the other denizens of the desert, these nomadic people appeared more and more often in the years after the Sands came. A race of dark skinned and red eyed semi-humans, the Dunewalkers are perfectly suited to life in the desert. They possess a wiry strength and a special bladder in their upper abdomen for storing water. During sandstorms a secondary set of transparent eyelids cover and protect their eyes without sacrificing vision. They are a Matriarchal race with the females acting as leaders, wise women, and hunters, while the males defend the tribe, and handle child-rearing.

Reason for leaving her tribe: To prevent inbreeding, when female Ajzahki reach maturity they must leave the tribe and wander the desert alone until they find another tribe.

Skills:
Master Hunter - From the moment she could walk, she was taught to hunt, tracking the telltale signs animals left in the ever-changing sands.
Desert Survivalist - Part of her hunter training included learning to recognise edible desert herbs from dangerous ones, and finding sources of water.
Sandstar Expert - The traditional weapon of the Ajzahki, the Sandstar is a quad-bladed throwing weapon that returns to the wielder if thrown correctly. It may also be used as a close combat weapon.

Motto/Catchphrase: Surrender to the Sand, for it cannot be mastered.

-Battle, Etori'Ka aren't called Desert Butchers for shits and giggles. Oryx fights with the ferocity of an animal with the cunning of a seasoned warrior, playing the type in a lot of situations
-Intimidation, Desert Butchers carry a rough reputation as is, can help or hinder in equal measure
