@BlueAjah I don't think it's your fault at all as a person, nor all your fault as a cog in the story wheel. But I think it was a key point of failure, as Fei was literally the most important character, she was the linchpin holding the NPCs and the PCs together, as well as the key of the driving protagonist romance. In other words, because you were doing so well, when you stopped showing, things ground to a halt without you, because the world revolved around you.

We all understand the roleplays are frivolous expenditures of time. First to drop when life gets tough. No mature roleplayer would find fault in you as a person due to dropping one.

I'm sorry, but as we have said before, the current situation has no fix, given that we reached an agreement about what to do already.

The simple truth is that this RP overextended it's planned life cycle by a lot. Everything was set to end about late December to early January, there was no extra plotline prepared in case we had to push things forward because there was no more stories to be told. We literally had all pieces we needed for a satisfactory conclusion lined, all that we needed was to move into the climax.

For reasons that are better left unmentioned, the planned conclusion of the RP was completely derailed leaving us with a fractured cast whose objectives didn't mesh together at all and would never have a reason to crossover until many months passed to set things right again. Needless to say, such a huge unforeseen situation and all th stress it brings over us, drained the interest we had on keeping the RP going very fast. After all, we had all set to finish the story we planned for so long, having it undone was a huge frustration, since we didn't have a backup story (because it wasn't needed).

In the end, we just ask you to understand that this choice isn't being taken on a whim. We really enjoyed this RP and you all, but it has long since passed the point of being entertaining.

@KoL Wait, so the plot hinged on Alex and Monkey immediately moving to the group to form up for the plot and the Heist derailed things? Or was this some earlier point everything was ready?

Because if it was the heist, we could literally wrap that up in 15 minutes with: "They couldn't find a good way in, when SUDDENLY:" Though, I do think we could actually do the whole thing in the time it takes the rest of the team to do a full posting rotation and get grouped.

If the above is the case: I thought I was choosing between standing there for the plot and doing something that might have an effect on the plot and then going back and standing there for the plot. I did not realize I was choosing between standing there for the plot and ending the roleplay.

KoL has already said we are not comfortable going into extensive detail, as casting blame accomplishes nothing but making this ending more bitter then it needs to be.

Interest is lost and this RP will be concluded around Saturday, so there is no point in you finishing the heist. We are tired. We are done.

We are not pointing fingers here. Regardless of the cause, we already took our decision. Please, don't try to read us, as explained more than once, were have or reasons and are just asking you to understand.

And there is it. The end of the RP. There may have been some bumps along the way, but it was still an enjoyable experience nonetheless, even if things didn’t go as planned. As such, we hope you too had a fun time here. Perhaps the story will be revisited in the future with a happier conclusion, but for now it’s time to put this Shattered story to rest. Until next time.

This begets an appropriate ending theme:

It's sad to see this RP go, but still we reached an ending. Might not have been the best, but how many can say they actually have seen a RP to the end? That in and of itself is a feat to celebrate.

@KoL I have. Took us 4 years. Ensemble battle vs every past boss. Funny thing was only the dinky C-rank stone lynx without a name which was the first boss dealt any damage to the party, and he killed one and maimed two others.
