Maybe a lack of a crowd would hurt Ben but Andre wouldn't have a problem with it. Ben went out there to make everyone have fun. Andre went out there to show everyone he wasn't looking for a friend and he didn't need one. Ben likes to feed off the crowd to pump him up Andre is disgusted by people watching him duel. Andre has self control of himself otherwise he'd be a lot more arrogant and vicious with his slander and insults. If you really want to know I'll tell you in a pm why Andre is like that but trust me he doesn't need anyone nor does he want anyone at his side. He respects and thinks of Ben as a companion due to what Ben has done for him in the past. While it might scare Ben to see Shinrei act that way Andre would more than likely just revert back to his, "Oh so we're doing it like that now?" sort of mind set and just grid-lock himself into the duel and ignore Shinrei. It'd probably nothing he hasn't experienced before.

Shinrei may act tough and all but he does have one major weakness which is that he cares more about his sister than his life. If someone were to try to use his sister against him that might get him to become angry which is very rare to see from him.

I'm just trying to explain my characters and their actions so far and why they have done what they've done. All the same I'll stop talking about it now because really i do think i've gone on a bit too much about them and i've divulged more than i'd like to already.

Edgy is the new Cool.

That being said I also slightly frown at hyper-edgy characters. Devil-may-care and all but it gets really old, really fast. They are flat and unless played correctly with some breathing room to grow, usually not my cup of tea. And trust me, I know tea.

Yeah I have to agree edgey character who rely on their edge and don't have any other qualities are something out of bad fan fiction in my opinion. That's why when I build characters who aren't socialites and or good people I still have them take a hobby, or a friend that still shows their human inside all of that distrust or disgust of their fellow humans.

I usually run characters that are cold all the time. Though mine are all varieties and don't just focus around one mind set. I do not mind flat characters since it is the characters set in stone that usually are boring as they have nothing to build off of.

Shinrei's behavior will dramatically shift when it comes Tsukiko. You will see what I mean when she steps on his foot when she wants him to be nice and he just wants to be stubborn about it. You'll will see what I mean when Ammokkx posts next.

They haven't met, but I'm pretty sure Ethel would feel indifferent about Haas unless he tried something stupid. Which in all fairness, he probably will.

EDIT: Also I know about Keldeo, but I'm not going to change my tactics. He gets until tomorrow to finish his duel, without warning as it should've been done, and he should have warned us if he left for an extended period. If he doesn't finish it, I'll handwave it somehow.
