To most, Venua comes across as a rather cold person. Her strange getup along with face paint and equally strange hairstyle(long waist-length dreadlocks) not doing her any favours. However, she is not as cold as she may seem, as she gets friendlier to those she is familiar with. Highly cynical of the world with plenty of distrustful people around, she is not one to trust anyone lightly, but she will be loyal, however once her trust has been gained. Not one to take things lightly, she is serious and calm. She has a tendency to place greed over morals which does places a pretty big dent in the trustworthy department.

Venua is incredibly daring and fearless, always stepping in the face of danger, taking up new challenges along the way. She may be daring, but she is not reckless or impulsive. She knows how much to push, and how much would be too much. Intimidation is not something new to her when she has been exposed to it for more than half of her life so far. She faces her problems head on, usually resorting to violence instead of words. She sees someone who shirks their responsibilities and combat as weak and ill-willed. When it comes to intimate relationships, Venua is inexperienced, not having the chance to be in one so far.

Childhood:

Born as Uthgardt barbarians in the Black Raven tribe, she grew up to a life of hunting and traditions. Venua learnt to hunt, to fish and anything else she needed to survive in the wilds. When she was twelve, she snuck onboard her parent's raiding vessel. Not surprisingly, they were not pleased, but they were too far out at sea to turn back now. Their plans for the raid failed when they discovered that their victims must have gotten sick of losing their things and had fortified their settlements with walls and a large army. They were prepared for them and the barbarian raiders failed miserably and were slaughtered. She saw her parents die just like the rest of the tribe present and was about to follow their fate when fate intervened.

The leader of the victorious army saw that she was different from the rest, and merely a child, compared to the rest of the adults. He decided to spare her life and keep her as a slave instead. So began the second chapter of Venua's life as a slave. She desired vengeance and would have it one day. When she reached sixteen, He sold her to a recruiter who was roaming for slaves to be trained as gladiators, after a sackful of gold. Girls strong enough to fight in the arenas were rare and highly sought after. Thus began her third chapter.

Adulthood:

Venua grew up into a fierce young woman. Her unrelenting spirit and perseverance has borne ample fruit as she rose from nothing into one of the arena's best gladiators. She was a natural with the longsword, and equally proficient with the use of her shield. She won match after match, be it beast or man. Fame and Infamy were born earned as she rose through the ranks. She became to be known as 'The Painted One', a nickname given because of the war paint she always has on her. After fighting her way to freedom, she swore never to be bound by such constraints ever again. Independence never felt sweeter.

Special Moments:

The victorious fight where she earned her nickname after slaying an ogre at the young age of eighteen. The burst of euphoria after the fight of her life which had earned her freedom.

Current Events:

Life after the arena has been blissful and free. No longer constrained by gladiatorial life, Venua joined a group of bandits for a period of time, trying out something new, but eventually getting boring of the lifestyle, she has taken to adventuring and exploring and has never felt better.

Parents: Sundos never knew his parents. He was left as an infant on the doorstep of the temple of Lathander. He was taken in and raised by the Church.
Siblings: The only siblings he knows are his brothers and sisters of the Faith. Many of the children he grew up with are now paladins or other servants of the Church. His best childhood friend is now a scribe in the temple.
Childhood: Spent his childhood on the temple grounds. He helped where he was assigned. Many days were spent in the stables caring for the horses. But he also helped in the kitchens, gardens and hospital. Of course, he was schooled in the doctrine and ways of Lathander.
Adulthood: Was ordained a Cleric to the Morning Lord. He now serves the Church as a warrior-priest.
Special Moments: He was so proud when selected to receive weapons training and learned the ways to protect the innocent.
The day he become a Cleric. He was ordained at Sunrise by the Temple’s High Priest. He remembers everything about that morning.
Current Events: Upon reaching his 18th birthday, Sundos has been begging the High Priest to send him on a quest or to assign him to mission. Sundos’ prayers were answered and he was sent to the Hamlet of Salarn on the frontier. He was sent to aid the mission and protect the people of the hamlet.

There is no subject which she is afraid of talking about even if it applies to the hatred of a King or Lord in front of a couple of guards. Natty’s always been one to avoid talking about herself though, nobody has quite figured out why. Occasionally she will give a sort of half truth about why she doesn’t talk about herself by mentioning the tattoo she has her back. A ‘gift’ from her mother she calls it.

Despite how willing Natty is to talk to others, she is nowhere near willing to trust them on the spot. In fact, she is wary of trusting anybody who trusts her just after meeting her. She’s always believed that one can only know how a person is like after knowing them for a few days or drinking with them if you don’t have the time for that. Perhaps the most obvious aspect of Natty’s personality is the fact that she questions how almost everything works and wonders why it can’t work another way. She’s always hated not knowing how something works but will often settle for knowing why it works since it would be too much for her to try and know everything about everything. Afterall, even a mage has her limits
Habits: Smoking, only casually though, and will almost always play around with her staff while bored.
Hobbies: Drawing, Natty’s oddly enough good at it.
Fears: Her Mother, nobody quite knows what she did to Natty but it is better left unknown. Bears, those big brutes lived in a forest near Blackreach and would always wonder too close to town during their breeding season and scared young Natty many times over. Blood, it seems that blood has been something Natty has fear since she was young since she even reacted to blood in the most overwrought way possible when she was a mere twelve years of age.

• Magical Knowledge: Natty’s many years of studying magic with her Mother has taught how to identify spells and magical items as well as sense the presence of simple, magical traps.
• Swimming: Natty spent many of her summers swimming in lakes for hours every day.
• Concentration: Thousands of hours of training in the use of summoning magic with her Mother has taught Natty how to ignore nearly any outside source of distractions.
• Survival: Natty had to learn how to care for herself out in the forests near Blackreach which mean many of days without food or housing until she figured out what to do.
• Horse Riding: She had to learn horse riding in order to go with her mother when ordered.

• Light Armor Proficiency: Even a mage must have some armor to wear and Natty’s choice of armor is that of light leather and cloth. Her many years of training allow her to wear light armor without any major hindrance to her casting abilities.

Magic

A listing of spells, their descriptions - casting times, elements needed to cast, expected damage, any drawbacks to casting

• Mage Armor: Natty focuses her magical power to surround her or somebody else with magical armor. Reduces the damage dealt to the wearer. Can only be worn by one person at a time and take two minutes to cast. Useable three times a day.
• Flaming Sphere: Natty user her magic to create a hot, two feet in diameter ball of flame and roll it at the opponent. Upon striking, it deals damage and scatters fire about. Has chance to burn opponent. Can be cast three times a day.
• Scorching Ray: Natty’s magic is used in this ability to create a burning hot ray of fire which can reach five feet ahead of her. It deals damage upon initial hitting and has a three-quarters chance to burn if it hits more than once. Can be sustained for three turns. Can be used three times a day.
• Burning Weapons: Natty uses a large amount of her magic and concentrates for several minutes to coat her and her allies’ weapons in magical flames causing them to deal fire damage as well as their normal damage upon contact. Can be used once a day. Can be interrupted if damage is dealt while casting.
• Shield: Natty cast this protective magic to shield herself or an alley from some of the incoming damage. Shield can completely block magic missiles and block some damage from melee attacks. Can be cast five times a day and lasts ten minutes.

Possessions

Possessions Generally On Person: Clothing, coin purse, money, etc

• Basic Clothing: Three red shawls, two green shawls, four black skirts, one brown skirt, black leather flats, and a set of tan underclothing.
• Coin Pouch: A small leather pouch with a drawstring on it
• Assorted Coins: About sixty silver and twenty bronze last time Natty counted.
• Satchel: Holds a small number of dried meats and items for performing summonings. Also holds Natty’s diary, wouldn’t suggest reading it.

Weapons: Personal weapons, no magically enhanced items

• Iron Dagger: A dagger whose blade is about a foot and a half in length, not quite a sword but small enough to classify as a dagger. Used only when people get too close.
• Silver Dagger: Stolen from Natty’s Mother, about eight inches in length and is normally kept tucked into Natty’s skirt.
• Wooden Staff: Supposedly grown from a literal tree by Natty’s Mother using magic. Used for hitting opponents from a range but also can be used to channel magic. Occasionally used to thwap a man right in the gonads if needed.

Armor: Base armor only, no magically enhanced items

• Leather and Iron Skirt: A full, leg length skirt made from leather strips with studded iron on it. Protects her legs from very little but it is better than nothing.
• Four layer Cloth and Wool Doublet: A doublet made of cloth, specifically sheeted cotton, and wool woven together. Protects from very little damage but it is better than nothing.

Pack Contents: What do you carry in you pack when traveling

• Bed Roll: A simple, wool bed roll which Natty uses for camping outside.
• Flint and Steel: For lighting fires of course.
• Waterskin: A leather water skin, usually holds about a day’s worth of water. Can be rationed to last longer.
• Dried Fruits and Meats: Assorted mixture of dried meats and fruits which can be consumed. Lasts about a week without rationing. Can last two if rationed.
• Inkwell, Ink bottle, and a quill: Used for writing in her diary. Running low on ink though.
• Oiled Tarp, 6x6: Used to keep rain off when sleeping outdoors.

Magical Items: Limit 2 low level

• Traveler’s Cloak: Stolen from Natty’s Mother, enchanted to keep the wearer warm and dry in the rain despite it being just cloth.
• Bracers of Endurance: A set of magic bracers which increase Natty’s ability to run and travel for longer periods of time than normal. Has no real other purpose since they are made from leather wrapped in cloth.

Potions: Premade or prepurchased potions - limit 5

• Three Numbing Potions: A homemade brew that Natty was taught by her Mother, dulls the pain of any injuries and can help with the pain of using a summoned being for a long period of time.

Creation Materials: Anything used to brew potions or for alchemy

• Mortar and Pestle: For crushing herbs.
• Three small vials and two medium sized potions: For storing portions in.
• A carefully selected and mixture of Herbs: A select amount herbs collected for creating numbing potions. Could also be used to create healing potions.

History

Siblings: Maria Terina Crane, Sister, 80
Childhood: Born to a Mage who was supported by the local baron in Blackreach, it was expected of Natty to have a natural talent in magic. As such, she spent many hours in her Mother’s study while she worked on potions for the fool of a Baron. Once Natty could understand what she was being told, Aurelia began teaching her about magic and its functions.
Adulthood: For the past six months, Natty has been traveling the road as a sort of ‘mage-for-hire’. Belief is that she is looking for her Father who Aurelia thought was around the area of Salarn.
Special Moments: Getting her ‘brand’ in the twenty-fifth summer she was alive. Natty was only twenty five years old when her Mother tattooed onto her bank the supposed ‘mark’ of the Crane family. It was a painful process that was done in one sitting with no magic to heal any damage done nor any potions to numb the pain. The entire time, Aurelia questioned Natty on the uses of magic and its functions.

Natty remembers receiving the news from her Mother that she was arranged to marry the Baron’s corpulent and grotesque son. The pig of a man insisted on the marriage happening the next month. Natty didn’t want to go through a life with such a disgusting being, for she wouldn’t even call him a person, and ran away from home afterwards.
Current Events: Natty’s been on the run for six months now and has passed through many towns and villages. Aurelia had told Natty that her Father had once been in Salarn about two years before. After doing some questioning in nearby villages, Natty has learned that her Mother had been lying but went to Salarn anyway in hope of finding information on where Marcus Crane is.

• ☠ Maria Crane: Yes, Natty’s own enemy is her sister. After having run away, Aurelia tasked Maria of bringing back Natty at any cost. Since then, Maria has been trying to outsmart her sister and even injure her to force her back home but has failed every time. Seems like good training for the both of them actually. If Maria fails before she turns eighty-two, she has to marry the Baron’s son.
• ☮ Venus Samaria: A human woman who ran an in back in the town of Brindale. Offered Natty a room to stay in for a few weeks, free of charge of course, after hearing her story. Cared for the young run away as if she was her own kid. Natty quickly learned that Venus was a widower and her son, Korbin, had gone off to join the militia in Salarn.

@ReaptheMusic Half elf is not on the list and there is not list to combine any of the races. Those that are listed are the only approved races, not combinations of even if half-elf was listed. (Which it isn't.)

And Experiment is not running this Rp, and as is stated in the rules, this is DnD based, not DnD law. So arguing semantics is futile.

I have what is allowed listed, simple as that.

And yes while believable by DnD standards, from someone that has been dming DnD for decades, it isn't approved by this Dm/Gm - which anyone who DnD's knows is the final say.
