Personality:
Rex is a kind hearted soul who only wishes to help those around him. he can have a bit of a temper, but he usually keeps that in check, but sometimes he flies off the handle when he’s dealing with someone who is hard headed.
History:
Rex’s up bringing started out like a Dream. His father owned an auto body shop while his mother had a small paint shop across the street where she sold art supplies and some of her art to her customers who were interested. When he was 5, his father taught him how to work on cars so he could one day work in the body shop with him and eventually take over the shop when he was gone. His mother taught him how to paint and draw just in case working on cars wasn’t working for him. Rex was a natural with cars, but he also found love in painting and drawing what he saw through his daily interactions with the people around the city. Being a ghoul came with many hardships. Most notably was how he quelled his hunger for human flesh, but he didn’t want to kill for food. However, his parents taught him about the many stores and cafes that helps ghouls who didn’t want to murder for a meal. Rex found comfort in known he wasn’t killing innocent people to stay alive and for years he lived a dream life. His parent eventually passed away and left him with the auto body shop and Paint store. Rex knew he couldn’t watch over both places, but he found two women who loved his mother’s art work and promised to keep the paint shop open for him.

Rex focused more on the auto body shop, but over the years Rex saw the world go down the crapper. Mostly because of Ghouls killing people for food which he didn’t condone, but knew without human flesh they would die. However, he hated the human on human violence he heard about on the news and radio. It was bad enough Ghouls killed, but when humans killed their own. Rex felt like it was nothing more than savage. Rex wanted to stop it, but couldn’t since he was nothing more than a mechanic. All that changed when a friend of his was attacked by a man in a dark alley. She spent three months in the hospital because of the attack and it pushed Rex over the edge. Rex never went out after dark like many of the other Ghouls who hunted for food, but that night he had a target. After getting the details from his friend, he went out looking for her attacker. It took a few days, but he found his target preying on another innocent woman. Rex didn’t hesitate. He killed the man before he could do anymore harm. He left the woman e and went back home.

The next day the news picked up the man’s death, but it also revealed who the man was. A well-known predator that had been released from jail by an anonymous benefactor. Rex knew all too well about criminals who seemed to just get out of jail, just to go back to preying on the weak. Rex felt such a rush from killing the man that he decided to hunt down others like him and maybe help Ghouls in the process. He knew it might be fruitless to help Ghouls change their habits, but the only thing he could do was try.

Other: Rex carries around a Katana with him to keep from using his Kagune on other Ghouls. He’d rather not use it or his Kagune since all he wants to do his help Ghouls from juddering innocent people.
