[IC] On the Streets

Alyssa grabbed a bag of beef jerky, and a bag of sour patch kids in her pocket. Luckily she was not seen and she walked out of the store. She pushed her hair back as she began to walk off of the premises.

Roxy saw the younger woman come out of the one of the stores. The owners hadn't caught the girl. Or maybe they simply didn't care about the loss. Either way the girl had gotten way with something. Nothing big. Or important. "Are you proud of yourself? Did you get what you really needed?" She demanded of the girl. She didn't care about the theft. She cared that the girl was settling on something small that wasn't what she needed or wanted.

Aly eyed her but tried to play it dumb. "What are you talking about?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow at the girl. She huffed as she eyed her. "And even if I did or didn't get what I need, it'd be none of your business, so go fuck off!" She answered as she huffed.

"I wouldn't push your luck little girl. I'll rip you to shreds. My guess is that you haven't been on the streets long. You don't have much skill at skilling. You stole gummy bears. Those are neither filling or healthy. Wouldn't you like to have something that would fill you for awhile?" Roxy asked. She studied the girl trying to figure how much of her attitude was real. She would guess not much.

Alyssa huffed getting clearly adgettated with her. " Look its none of your business a and b, I took a snack wa, oh well! Not like I do it all of the time. If I'm going to steel, I don't need to deprive myself of the food I like. So go fuck off." She answered scornfully. "By the way, good luck with the 'ripping me to shreds thing'. That ain't happening nor is going to scare me away!"

Roxy rolled her eye. The girl was just asking to be taken down a peg. She gapped the girl and pushed the girl against the building. She held the girl with one hand while pulling one of her knives with the other. "Princess you don't stand a chance against someone like me. I grew up on streets just like these. Now you can drop the attitude or you and I can go a round. What's it going to be?"

Being hit on the wall knocked the wind out of her for about half of a second. She quickly caught it back and grabbed her arm trying to keep it away from her neck but was failing badly. Instead she dug her finger nails into it as hard as she could. She shook her head to the decisions and kneed the girl in the gut as hard as she could.

In a neighbouring alleyway, amongst an accumulation of discarded debris, lay a young female. Like some sort of animal, she had found sanctuary within the four walls of a cardboard box that had since accomplished its purpose of protecting her from the heavy rainfall the night before. It's paper-thin remains were all that prevailed, and now she sought some sort of protection for tonight's predicted heavy forecast, and hopefully something to keep her stomach from consuming itself in the process. It didn't take long, however, until she came across an altercation between to other females. Pulling her khaki parka closer to her form, she had hoped to swiftly pass the pair without interrupting, but alas her curiosity had gotten the better of her. "Woah... A fight? In the middle of the day as well!" The young female soon found herself in the midst of it all when she unintentionally blurted out her inner thoughts.

*Jerad would continue along his path from the hotel, not wanting to waste anymore time today. Rebecca needs help. He sighs softly at the retrospect, she was the only one he can trust and he's rather not lose her. But it seems his wants aren't really cared for as he turns the corner and right infront of him is a fight between a pair of girls and some chick that is shouting at them. 'Why does it happen to me...?' his thoughts are when he sees this, watching them for a minute as he shakes his head* "I don't need more of this today... Harassing another person girl?" *Him looking at Roxy, not knowing or remembering her name after they met*

"Oh please little girl. Is that all you got?" Roxy asked sarcastically. She let the girl go. Not because she was afraid of the girl because she didn't want to fight the girl. She would defend herself if she needed to but she doubted that she would need to. This girl wasn't exactly a threat. "I was going to offer you a better way to live. But if you want to survive on gummy bears, that's your choice."

Alyssa backed away from her slightly to make sure she didn't attack again. She didn't bother hitting her back, but she eyed her carefully as she raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean a better way to live?" She asked her voice showing somewhat curiosity in it. She didn't know what to think of that. She knew it could be a complete joke, or something of the such matter.

Roxy shrugged. "Well you see I have been thinking. I think there is a way that teens like us can live a better life. Once that doesn't require us to survive off of dumpster diving or stealing snack foods that won't fill us. I am not suggesting you trust me. I wouldn't if I were you. But I have something to offer you. I just want you to give it a chance."

Alyssa raised an eyebrow at her. A plan? That sounded like a crazy idea, one that was impossible. She eyed her before she hesitantly asked. "Depends on what this plan is, and what it costs." She stated. "What's the price?"

*Jerad would be listening to the conversation, can't helping it with being there anyway. He already understood what Roxy had in mind, but he stayed quiet about it. True enough there is strength in numbers, and more people mean more talent. And means more people doing things to help contribute, being on the road is hard afterall. He crosses his arms and listens to Roxy's proposal, he knows for a fact that Rebecca would jump for this. He, on the other hand, doesn't like the idea of working with anyone that isn't her currently*

"I understand your caution. There aren't many people on the streets willing to help others. You're smart to be wary of being taken advantage of. But as young adults on the streets I think we could do better by working together. If we pool our resources and skills we can live better then if we try to survive on our own. Plus we will be stronger. It's harder to take out several people then it is an individual." Roxy explained.

Alyssa eyed her to make sure that she was serious. The idea sounded cool in a way. She bit her lip. "So your saying you plan is to create a gang,or is this just some slick way to find friends?" She asked. She sighed slightly. "Its a rediculouse plan. We gather are stuff, that's good, and what next? The police is going to be onto us more than they already are! Its stupid to think that the police won't end up destroying us in a week!"

Roxy snorted. "I suppose it would be a gang of sorts. I have a few rules that those that live in my motel would have to live by. The police could be a problem if we're stupid about the things we do. Trust me it is possible to build an empire without anyone being a wiser. You just have to be smart and careful. And I think I can do that. She was pretty sure she could. She had seen her father do it. There was no reason she couldn't do it.

@KatherinWinter Alyssa was hesitant about it before she answered. " Its worth a try. I'm in, but if the cops do come I'm running." She stated clearly as she pushed back a piece of hair. She knew this was going to be one of things that are easier said then actually done but she couldn't help but wonder 'what if it did?'

*Jerad nods as he looks at Roxy with his arms crossed* "I'm going to say this before Rebecca makes me say it, but the two of us are in once she gets better. If I know her, she would come up with some wording like "Safety in Numbers" or whatnot. But ya you can count on us being here." *He grunts a bit, not looking happy about the idea of having to help people. But he knows better then to turn down a calling card when it comes to help in a fight, and if things do turn out for the worse. He and Rebecca can scram as the cops try to pin down everyone*

Roxy rolled her eyes. "Running makes you look guilty whether you are or not. You need to learn to learn to move with stealth rather then speed. But you can do whatever you want. But know if you run you will not be welcome back. I will not allow cowards to jeopardize what I am doing. I want a group that is strong and independent. You can have a real meal rather then just gummy bears."
