Ok, Hopefully it's not OP or anything but I added a new thing in my "pre war tech" part to legitimize my newly added "NAU combat armor" in the military section. Let me know if it's too much!

Changed up my aircraft section a bit, added some basic info if anyone wants to look.

BTW @Monkeypants what would the NAU think of my nation based on the new info I provided?

@sigma

I can see older models of helicopters being sold to the Pro-NAU to support the subtle annexation of former UPC territories. I can also see the NAU being hesitant to send any new ones due to sold ones Falling into separatist hands and even more so, into grogar hands giving them a huge mobility advantage. Imagine orcs with helicopters during helms deep. Epic I know.

But yeah, helicopters wouldn't be real common but they'd definitely exist in the Former/modern UPC areas.

@isotope

The more you add, the more you can tell why a unified North America would be near impossible to manage :D So different.. so very different.

However, as with shorticus, Social structure within other nations is not a concern. Visiting NAU citizens would have to be given the best treatment though as that is how the NAU would treat any Cascadian citizen. The NAU would likely invite visiting Cascadian's or other nationals visiting to noble functions such as grand festivals etc etc. If Cascadia treated the NAU as such, social barriers wouldn't really exist.

Hell, they both pretty much view the Grogar in similar regards as subhumans.

Now the flip side and of course this is if the NRP lasts this long and Theodore stays in control.. -IF- Theodore manages to take over all of the UPC lands and stomp out the Grogar, the Cascadian's would be next in his sights. His manifest destiny demands it.. and that would require huge ass changes from your population, changes they will not give up without a ferocious fight.

All in all, They aren't really similar and likely wouldn't get be super friendly had the two nations been directly bordering but I doubt they would be fighting one another over cultures and history.

if that makes sense :D

Coolio @Monkeypants! I pretty much agree, there isn't a reason for Cascadia to aggravate the NAU at the moment so they'd be careful to treat you with courtesy, given short term their goals align.

Also I added a class of soldier partly because of your power dudes :P.

@Nerevarine I do think there will be a lot of conflicts with religious leaders and maybe others because of how odd the Oceon people are. They have a strange culture and are strange themselves.

@Sigma I doubt the Oceons will do a whole lot of forceful intervention. It will likely be humanitarian aid, considering that was their first diplomatic action ever.

@Inkdrop In that case, you have a potential story :) A Humanitarian mission to some warzone, you got several to choose from. North Africa, the Badlands, the Mongolian-Han border and no doubt more will pop up.

BTW, I changed the HT-100 (my new and main tank) image to something more in line with my nations style.

Also @Inkdrop you're close enough to actually have had some contact with me through the northwest passage that is almost certainly clear the vast majority of the year with warmer temperatures and all. I figure you might even have been involved in the Cascadian war against the West Arctic Federacy (big nation above me on the map) some fifty or sixty years ago when I took south western Alaska.

As it stands Cascadia likley has always treated any of your ships as enemies or illegals even in international waters and would try to seize them on sight if they were outnumbered. Up to you though, not sure if you even cross the northwest passage.

@IsotopeThat might be a potential hotspot, a sort of cold conflict if you will. I doubt the Oceons, who are named after the ocean, would take too kindly to being blocked off from a section of the sea. Might end up like the early conflict between the US and Britain, with Britain insisting she could impress American seamen with America getting steaming mad over the whole thing and leading to small skirmishes.

@SigmaThat will be fun to see. One of those might be getting a visit from the Typhoon's Serenade or Tempest's Sonnet. Possibly even the Song of Storms herself if it gets bad enough.

@SigmaThat would be the cause of one hell of a conflict since it seems they won't like Oceon at all from the getgo. We are still waiting for posts from some, right?

@Inkdrop Yup, not in a specific order, just for whoever has the time for it. I may make one much later, just need the inspiration.

@InkdropI mean, I imagine it would be significantly more severe than that. Given my people regard yours as well, unintelligent useless animals and abominations.

Also, because I am insanely fickle, a new HT-100! For realsies this time!

Indeed @Inkdrop, I imagine the West Arctic Federacy would provide some semblance of political protection in the arctic ocean, but once you enter the bering strait Cascadia would be waiting to intercept you.

A note on the WAF though, they are a very poor nation (Cascadia took their most populous and developed land 60-70 years ago) and would be unable to protect your vessels militarily, though they would certainly try to ensure the lives of your crew against execution which is common Cascadian practice for enemy abhumans.

It's hard to say, the HT-100 seems like it would be a bit slower and less maneuverable but I imagine it would have greater frontal armour and (potentially) a larger gun with it's 125mm high velocity cannon.

@IsotopeThat will definitely be a volatile flashpoint. The Oceons do not think they should be denied any stretch of water, a sort of "you can't take the seas from me" attitude, and to have someone simply take an innocent cargo liner... that is gonna heat up fast.

That would make a fantastic plot. and in the end it turns out to be a furry.

And... is there any way this can be the ambassador to my nation?

@InkdropWe should work out some existing relation there then because this would not be a recent practice.

Cascadia has a historical and religious hatred of abhumans (which they designate subhumans) going back centuries, so I can't help but imagine that this practice of keeping you out of the pacific goes back to a mere few years after they had consolidated their rule over southern Alaska decades ago.
