CS will be up after work later tonight
@CrimsonCastle: The word "based" is very important here. While I will say that the more you know about Fate as a whole (including Apocrypha/Extra/hollow ataraxia/etc;) the better, I think that only a grasp of how GO works (and really, only a grasp is necessary) is what you need. Arcs will be different from how they are within the game, considering that I'm working with multiple people here and need to chagne things accordingly. Not like I'm lifting the stories straight off the game itself anyhow (god no Orleans and Septem please).

Count me in then.
I am definitely interested, but I have a question. I am only familiar with the series as far as the anime portrays it (including the GO OVA). I know that there are multiple scenarios that are going to be presented that were only in the games. Will this be a problem?
In this age, all has been well. The newly reformed panel of 12 has settled back into their seats in the heavens; each sitting upon their thrones in their realms. The world has been through a great deal with the exile and elimination of the former thirteenth god , Tiras Veil the Shadow. The dark god found issue with the manner in which the gods' were allowing one another to interact with this world they had all created together; that is, no direct interaction at all. She believed that her supreme shadow should be allowed to cast down on the humans, her followers or not, as she reveled in sacrifice and bloodshed made in her name. The gods previously put up with her because she represented a necessary aspect of their creations' nature, evil, but her behavior and resistance eventually pushed them too far. One age prior to the one we live in now, Tiras Veil and the 12 came to conflict. The shadow had gathered all of creation's evil beings from the corners of the universe to battle with her: demons, dark muses, even turned angels and archangels from the camps of the other's. The war across the cosmos had major effects on the world below. The balance gave way to great discord as gods could no longer gently steer the wheel of humanity's progression. Great wars were fought. Rape and pillaging became common throughout the kingdoms, leaders turned a blind eye to starving populations, amazing golden age infrastructure fell apart as it seemed the seams of what was a fantastic reality gave in to this dispute. Tiras Veil revelled in the great sorrow.

It had to end. Finally, in the an event known as The Great Phantasm, the 12 combined all of their power and did something that even they doubted they would be able to do. They killed a god. Reports say a bright flash dazzled across a starless sky radiating what the common man could only describe as hope. The war was over; no more sorrow. With the seeming-less infinite battle concluded, the gods returned to their realms in the heavens and gazed upon their ravaged creation. Much had been lost: years of literature and histories, glorious structures that their hands had helped paint, and many many innocent lives. Humanity would survive and adapt though, after all they were made in the gods' images. About 300 seasons later humanity continues to try to rebuild what it has lost, and relearn what it has forgotten. Man has grown complacent and jolly once again. They never could have expected us.

Magic:

Before I delve in to the real premise of the roleplay I would like to explain the magic in this setting a little bit (Magi is in the title after all) Humanity is well versed in the fact that there is magic in this world. All magic has a divine source at SOME point. Most magic, however, does not come straight from the gods. Magic is most often obtained directly from objects that have magical energy stored inside them. These items either exist because A) They are divine creations of the gods, B) A ritual summoning a god's (or other powerful being's) energy was used to make an object a vessel, or C) an object has been left in a place of strong magical presence for a very long time. This makes the collection of magical weapons and artifacts important for mages. 99% of human beings can only directly access divine power through a ritual, and usually their must be some target, vessel, or medium for the energy to interact with in order to become a usable tool/weapon. The only humans that may freely access divine powers from gods (or others) are Paladins who are the gods' chosen vessels and are tasked with important quests from these gods. I hope that isn't too convoluted; if you have any questions feel free to ask.

The premise:
You and your comrades were raised in the last known pocket of influence Tiras Veil has on this planet. A small cult started at the end of the gods' war by a supposed demi-god of Tiras Veil known as Bali Veil. Bali laid out the cult's primary mission to be carried forth generationally by the members. The goal is to seek vengeance for Tiras Veil by training powerful and resourceful mages capable of climbing through the heavens to reach the Thirteenth Throne; the vacant seat of Tiras. There the mages are to find the means to slay the 12 and bring about a new age as the new gods in heaven. You will battle powerful mages of humanity, godly paladins, demons long forgotten, and even godly beings on your path to slay the gods! Pretty simple right?

Who might be interested?
It's awesome that we have garnered/regained more interest. I have been doing some work privately on the OOC and the fleshed out pitch so to speak, but I have realized while doing it that this is going to be a pretty large undertaking. I vow to you guys that I will get on at least twice a day to run, maintain, and create but I do think it would be in my best interest to get a Co-GM. So that is where I'm at right now.
@KiltmanBagz@Duthguy@Serious Face From the depths of obscurity I summon thee. YES! I did disappear for months. YES! This was a fresh account with a not-so-great post to online ratio, so it totally looks like I'm an infrequent lurker. These things are not true, I just had to go away for quite a while. I am back though and itching to get the creative writing juices flowing, so if any number of you three just might happen to be interested in assisting me relaunch this in any capacity shoot me a message.

I know you wanna get your motherfuckin' Homestuck on.
@ScreenAcne Alright, I can see might be into it. Excellent. I'm looking for at least a couple of paragraphs per post (unless the situation is such that not much could be said) Player races will be humanoid angel or humanoid demon. There could be some small biological advantages to playing either one, but as far as cultural mannerisms go, the world is the players' oyster.

@Disciple Cain I wanna attempt to make the setting a little bit more interesting to start off with to maybe ass some spice to those early stages of the game. Obviously once the players are immersed in their own worlds it will be irrelevant. I'm looking for at least 6 players
So I'm just going to throw this one into the pond. I haven't seen anyone post an IC for a Homestuck roleplay in a very looooong time. That being said, if you hate it stay away from this; I don't want to deal with your negativity.

The pitch: This roleplay takes place in an alternate universe, call it a winner's universe from some cycle far before John's/Rose's/Dave's/Jade's if you want, in which the setting is considerably different. The basis is that the players will reside in one of two realms: Heaven or Hell. Naturally residents will be angelic or demonic based on where they are living, but both realms share a planet so players may have prior connections before getting taken into the game. This roleplay will be centered around actually winning SBURB and I will be playing some kind of GAME MASTER role (as I feel like some facilitation will be required in order for the game to run smoothly ex: Kings and Queens, Jack Noir..etc)

I do have a good bit of intro fleshed out currently but I will have to write a few more paragraphs up before it is anything coherent. I just decided to put this out there to see how much interest there actually is before wasting my time. So who's in?
Yikes guys, I let the time get away from me. I will still put up an IC post tonight if everyone is still interested.

(I work too long)
Roland heard the words of wisdom imparted unto him through his new friend. Aim at the turtles and brown 'things.' Simple.

Snapping out of what had been a rare lapse in decisiveness for the gunslinger, Roland took action. It was like a whole different human had taken control of that body. His eyes scanned the field for the encroachers and found a number of these turtles with wings approaching them and beginning to circle them. They would have no opportunity to attack. Hammers struck powder and primer as smoke left the barrels of those emblazoned silver guns Roland had. The timing seemed so perfect that it was just before inhuman. Roland pulled the trigger as his muscle memory pointed each hand to exactly the spot it needed to be in order to shoot down a paratroopa. Seven shots fired within moments of the cowboy's relapse to reality and along with them seven kills. The troopers fell upon the ground, heads burst open or holes ripped through torso and shell. An ugly sight to see truly.

Before he could continue his onslaught, a most disturbing event occurred right behind his left shoulder. Ken, who had decided to come after all, seemed to be undergoing a demonic transition. From his back appeared an alien and evil tentacle, complete with rigid barbing and other pain inflicting edge. A terrible air came about Ken for as soon as the tentacle appeared, the boy appeared to enter a rage induced trance. He focused only upon the turtles which he cruelly killed and devoured. This did not stop Roland from firing and killing, but it did cause him to make a mental note of it. Five more shots occurred during this time period and five more paratroopas hit the ground.

The gunslinger's revolvers smoked as they were emptied and dropped to mid-chest height for dual reloading. The act itself took but a few seconds, as Roland's hands swung the revolving cartridges out and dumped all the smoking used up ammunition on the ground. Taking brief turns, each of the gunslinger's forefingers and thumbs moved with a pace as bullets were reloaded into the six corresponding holes in each cartridge. With a loud click reverberating two of the same action as one, the guns were reloaded and brought back to parallel; each gun pointed outwards towards a potential enemy. There was a brief respite in the action, so Roland was able to take quick notes on the situation and what surrounded them. In front of him was a dark armored, seemingly robotic, clad man with a red magic/energy (Roland could not know at this point) saber. His aura was ominous. A considerable distance away was a bright orange figure and a man perhaps, probably out fighting the same targets he was. He could not tell much more about them from where he was standing. Both of the men who were with him earlier had come through right behind him, and closer to them was a skeletal man with a small creature nesting on his shoulder. Roland observed some of the action that one took. 'Magic.' he immediately noted. This man would be worth questioning later. As more goombas and troopers appeared, so did Roland fire bullets with ranger like accuracy. Barely missing a shot, Roland continued standing in what was an unusually safe vantage point; they were completely surrounded by strangers with various powers and backgrounds.
