I wanted to post to night but school has thrown me off my sleep schedule. Hoping to get something up tomorrow
Woah, I'm away for a few days and so much good content!

I'm gonna wait for @MrDidact to arrive at the airport to continue.
Carter was dead.

The thought rang through her head as collapsed on the bed of the lavish hotel room. Sure they hadn't been together for just over two years, but somewhere inside she still held on to a shred of hope that somehow they could live a normal life away from all of this. It's as if all the events in her life were leading up to this. Normalcy will never be an option now. Not with Carter, not with anybody. In fact, Lydia wasn't even sure if that's what she wanted anymore.

Carter was dead.

Who was Lydia? She didn't know. Since she had started work as Shade she lost sight of everything she once knew. And now, here she was. A super-something, because hero just wasn't the right word. She wasn't here because of a need for doing good, or a innate passion for the greater good. She didn't care. Or at least she didn't use to. Now, seeing what messes these people can make... They have to be stopped. They have to have organization, common sense. They can't just get off with this... all of this.

The images of the wreckage and the victims shattered through her mind. She hadn't seen something so devastating and concentrated since she watched a documentary on the September 11th attacks. But this... this was caused by the people attempting to protect us. This was a mistake of poor planning. Of childishness. Of recklessness.

Carter was dead.

That's why she came to Nagoya in the first place. He left with those group of too-good-to-be-true-idealists and died in their darkest moment. Now there was another group of super-people surfacing. And this group she wanted to be a part of, especially if it meant giving those god-damned champions a hard time. To think that her life had led up to this. The abuse, the system, Carter, Powers, Nagoya. Now, she was something. She was something that a past version of herself would be terrified of.

Carter was -

Jacks voice rang over her new comm device. Breaking the loop of memories and constant reminders of pain.

"Well it looks like we are headed down under, old friend. " she replied and promptly got up and shoved her gear and clothing into her suitcase haphazardly. Two thoughts pierced her when she left for the airport.

Carter was dead.

Shade is very much alive.
I have a feeling this is going to be a great first RP experience for me
So a friend and I were hypothetically talking about writing a Shadowhunter Fanfic with this concept, but we ended up not following through with it. We had a lot of scope/world building done, and I thought maybe it would be better suited for an RP.

If your interested let me know, and what kinda character you might want to play (Shadowhunter, Downworlder, Mundane)
I propose the heads of each team (Our lovely GM/Co-GM) have an OOC group PM for each team, in case there are things that are better discussed with one team or another.

Also I am trying to come up with a clever acronym for SPLINTER because now I kind of just want to call us that.
@MrDidact I'm not volunteering now. But as a general inquiry would it be out of the question for us to RP multiple characters to make things interesting. Even if we decide to later on... not right now.
@CadenGallic anti night light. Hehehe.

To everyone:

I'm wondering if maybe the types of heroes that decide to join each group speak not only to what they value but what they are capable of. Like it seems like the splinter group and the champions have different agendas. If the Champions want to continue to do things forcefully, and Nagoya is an unfortunate incident that shouldn't diffuse the effort. The splinter group, I would imagine (and members correct me if Im wrong about your characters) would be more inclined to do more covert style ops. This very much speaks to the abilities at the table.

Sure if the battle is physical Champions vs Splinter, I'm putting my bet on the champions.

If the battle is who is better at being a more successful team, that is subjective and depends on what each team is trying to accomplish.

Just my thoughts.
@MrDidact My character was not affiliated with the champions, could it be that she came in part of a response team?
@Polyphemus@MrDidact

Considering we are all over the world, do you have any idea how the characters will be interacting? And do we have a name yet for this splinter group, or are you leaving us to decide this?
