Waiting on my computer to come in, only got my phone right now. Will post details about the airship either tonight or tmrw sorry for the delay buddy
I'll be in the traveling for the next 12 hours and from there it'll be a struggle to get some wifi set up - don't be shy RP guild, go ahead and be interested in this interest check. With interest.
I was worried it wasn't a favorite in the roleplay community haha but hopefully it catches on.

Perhaps I should shout that last part to draw more players.
being a steampunk genre I think that is a great choice!
I think that would be great, I always like characters that stray from the typical tune.
Excellent, I like the energy, keep that mind freed up for ideas!

@GingerBoi123 I enjoy your signature!

Hm...Well I guess we could pitch some character ideas around. I mean I already got my guy of course but I'd be interested to hear what everyone else had in mind. Or maybe there were some questions...Possible plot holes someone noticed that I missed haha. Nah jk, I don't want them pointed out.
A definite maybe, I like it!

Excessive shackles and chains made a rattling noise as a barrel chested prisoner they belonged too began to wind and toss. The prisoner was a hardy and powerful man, any trace of unnecessary fatty tissue had long been chiseled away. The hulking mass rolled onto one bulky side in an attempt to reach a comfortable position; this seemed an impossible task, considering his constrictions. The man’s golden hair fell to his mid back, the long golden locks held faint curls throughout the length of them. His eyes were a deep, soulless jade green. He wore nothing but a wrapped linen loin-cloth, exposing every massive muscle of his body.
The door to the man’s chamber abruptly swung open as an armor-clad guard set on foot inside, propping the door open with his hand, keeping the other steadily on the hilt of his sheathed blade. As the prisoner sat up slowly, his broad shoulders and massive pectorals flexed against the weight of his binding chains. The massive man said nothing, only stared coldly at the guard who seemed hesitant to remain. Finally, the guard motioned for assistance, and several other men equally equipped bustled into the room. “You make this easy on us, we’ll make it easy on you. Just take it easy big guy.” One of the guards quivered.

Whatever minor journey the massive prisoner was led on was a mystery to him, as he was blindfolded and led by the guards who had taken him from his chamber. His hands were bound in front of him by several chains sealed with a lock. His feet were bound in kind, with a short amount of slack to allow him to take small, clumsy steps. The prisoner towered over his captors, his mass was easily twice that of any around him. The man was a marvel to behold, blessed with gargantuan strength and size that immediately invoked fear and envy of any man who approached him. The prisoner’s trek came to an end and his blindfold was removed. His stern gaze fell upon a sight as wondrous as himself.

“Do you like it?” Came the squeaky voice of a tiny little creature. The prisoner looked down to spot a dwarf of a man. The small creature wear a peculiar ocular device, held by a strap around its head. The prisoner said nothing, but returned his sights to what had initially inspired his awe. “It’s an airship.” Explained the dwarf. The contraption was suspended in the air, tied down by several ropes. Looking around, the prisoner noted they were in a building. A gigantic tower it seemed to be, where the airship was harbored. Also witnessed were wondrous inventions, no doubt by the dwarf and his team of brilliant inventors. “Yes, yes, take it all in my friend. It’s a lot to be struck with, I imagine. Have no fear, you’ll have plenty of time to get acquainted with what you need.” The dwarf said cheerfully.

The dwarf crossed his arms and looked up at some of his fellow workers making the final touches to the grand airship. “Just a few more crew coming now and we should be all set.” The dwarf muttered, moving to a work desk and removing a large black key. “We all know you’re quite the rough and tumble type, so I’ve taken the liberty of devising a very special binding set of cuffs for you, my friend. This key will release you. There is this one here, which shall remain safely with me. The other copy is aboard that airship, which will go straight to the captain. He will release you when he deems your skills necessary. You need to cooperate, you have a real shot at freedom here!” The dwarf taunted, slipping the key into his pocket. Out of the drawer another contraption was revealed. “Put it on him.” The dwarf commanded, handing it to one of the guards. The prisoner put up no struggle as the device was placed over his mouth, locked at the rear of his head. His ability to speak, if it were present, was revoked and his capability of breathing limited.

“Just one more precaution, lad. Think nothing of it, I’m sure the captain will remove that soon if you’re not too much trouble for him. You’ll be held in your own private quarters within the aircraft not too unlike your former home.” The dwarf chuckled. “Please take our guest to the airship, allow him time to select a few weapons and have them housed in the armory for when the captain sees fit to arm him.” The dwarf instructed the guard as he moved towards a small window close by. The dwarf tinkered with his ocular device as he lost himself in thought gazing out the window. “You’ll need all you can carry…Once you go back through the portal.” The dwarf spoke eerily.

At those words, the prisoner violently struggled to be free…

Characters being brought in will be a part of the crew for the airship that is destined to venture into a portal. Characters would be familiar with the portal, the back story being that every few years a giant portal will open in the sky and out comes what has been named a "Shadow Dragon". Yep, couldn't think of a better name. Of course the shadow dragon is this horrible thing that everybody knows is gonna come out of the portal and for a long while the idea was just to defend themselves as best they could once the portal opened up. Then campaigns began where people would try to get into the portal and take the fight to the dragon, but with no success. Anyone who entered the portal would never come back, except possibly the mentioned prisoner.

Now all the king's horses and all the king's dwarves have planned a daring mission to send a select few on a specially designed airship to go through the portal and kill the dragon. Nobody knows what dangers lay beyond the portal...

That being said beyond the portal is gonna be a wild and magnificent environment with all kinds of magic items and creatures. Dangerous monsters around every bend, some rivaling the Torrasque from d&d mmhmyessh.

Now my character is a prisoner obviously and is being forced to go, which not all characters have to be forced to go. The airship will consist of an elite crew, not necessarily all of them being incredible fighters. Hunters, foragers, trackers, engineers, culinary specialists, whatever skill set you think would have your character selected (or forced) to joining the crew. Obviously we need a captain, I think that's the most important part.

So being that the crew will have access to some steam punk items let's keep in mind you can be creative with your characters inventory, which you'll lay out in this thread for approval. Muskets, airships, medieval parachutes (aww ya), dynamite, Ipad (not srs), things of that nature are encouraged if they would be helpful to the mission.

That's about all I can really think of for now. Ok, support my RP lets do it.
