@AnaSilan Sunja Sorry, I didn't read that your character was the last and only witch. I won't ask how or why that is since that seems like a huge amount of questions in reality. Since you probably don't want to change that, I'll have him hunt something else. However since the character is built ground up from angel interaction, I'm going to have to come up with a new concept unless he does have the soul of Azazel. The reason I say it's better if he DOES have the divine on his side is so that he's more interesting for me to write, one, and since in my best concept of a parallel to this setting, Supernatural universe, Dean and Sam were only the most survivable hunters thanks to fairly consistent divine intervention. A hunter without it seems like a pincushion to the forces of evil to me. Unless you can give me an example to the contrary. I just have nothing to go on besides Supernatural... In Grimm, as well, for example, the guy is a Grimm. He's not a regular guy.

Also Gingerboi's character seems like the perfect hunter: loves his job, hates when things don't go his way, is a completely different person while he's hunting (a killing machine). I don't want to make a clone of his character.

Leon (HUNTER)

THE CLERIC Leon Schezar

Male - 30 years old - American - Not in communication with any other hunters, thus unaware of the “war”.

“Render unto dust.”


Leon possesses the soul of Tortured Azazel, an angel who fell from heaven and was condemned to be castrated by both humans and demons for the rest of eternity. However, Azazel was freed from his prison of endless agony by the hands of higher beings: though it cannot be said which one(s). Leon does not know that he is the reincarnation of that “scapegoat angel”. As a result of inheriting Azazel’s soul, the human man Leon possesses unique and otherwise unfounded qualities: he is, however, nothing but a human.

The Witch is in ultimate defiance of God. It is Leon’s purpose to reduce these creatures to ashes, though Azazel is not aware that this was the intention of his revival into a new form. Strictly an angel cannot walk upon the lands of Earth until Paradise arrives: thus Azazel has become an instrument of the will of God in the world of mankind without breaking this mandate.

The benefit of choosing Azazel to rise from the torture chambers of hell to become a heavenly conduit in human form, is his connection to the Archangel Chamuel. Leon is led ever onward by the will of the Seraphim: for an archangel need never rest. When Leon’s body is asleep, his awakens to being an agent of Chamuel, who guides him on his hunt, watching over him. This means that during the day Leon leads the life of an entirely normal man: while during nightfall, he transforms into a powerful witch-slayer. He often wakes up sore, but his most serious wounds are entirely healed before the dawn’s light, allowing Leon to remain unsuspecting of the puppeteering ways of the heavenly choir.

Leon lives an entirely normal life at a desk job, performing data analysis on car crash statistics for his company. To some of his coworkers he seems too boring: he isn’t interested in much beyond what he reads in order to help him fall asleep. He was once caught at work reading a Superman comic at lunch, which served as a talking point for a couple of days. Almost entirely however, his fellow employees did not take note of Leon’s existence. Sometimes it was as though he didn’t recognize his own existence either, behaving like a cog in a machine until he could read something fictional and quickly descend into sleep again.

Is this up to standard? I felt as though a human without some kind of divine assistance standing up to mind-bending witches and muscly dragons would be just fish food.

Darlen had remained in good shape during the trek to Novac, and his endurance hadn't faltered. He relayed what he had seen to the NCR patrol, and they mentioned Craig Boone to him. Darlen hadn't heard of the man: or the name of any NCR higher operative for that matter. In any case, since the NCR was failing to take action all over the wasteland as the Mohave deteriorated, Darlen figured he could safely rule them as irrelevant. It was nice to see that Novac wasn't being turned into a bloodbath by child slavers. At least there was some good being brought by another military presence than the Legion in the Mohave. But Darlen didn't imagine that his sister would be safe in this town, when it seemed to be next on the block after Nipton. He had to get Chloe further from land where men filled each other with lead in acts of petty dominance. So unless Craig Boone had words for him explicitly, he was going to be on the road again. He bought food and water from the NCR squad leader, in addition to what the man had given in kindness to his sister. Darlen watched her eat a well-preserved steak in the desert moonlight. He guessed that after two years she would have many questions for him, but for now tears streaked her face and patted into the sand. It would take a long time for either of them to fully adjust to what had happened at Nipton.

But as Darlen had learned, in the Mohave and in many places both far and strange. It was a world of killers. If his sister was going to be truly safe, she had to be able to guard herself. And that meant becoming one, too.

He readied himself for the road, and took his sister by the shoulders. Was this really the first night of my return? Darlen thought. It feels like the sun couldn't possibly wish to rise on a land so barren and broken as the Mohave. But Chloe knew nowhere else. Darlen was soon to ponder whether that should change, before the sands covered both of them like a funeral shroud.
