Looking good so far, though Eddie would attest to the fact that going towards Shipwreck Isle is a bad idea, no matter how tempting it seems.

@Eklispe, when (both irl and in-game) do you want me to start posting? Presumably I need to start at when I meet Elliot, at the very least, in which case I think I ought to start after the crew has left Finhall, to avoid confusing threads of story too much.

I did make a post about this you know.

I... totally forgot this happened, sorry :D
Wait, so we're starting in the tavern where Dead Eye gets recruited? I thought this was meant to be backstory?
I think it might be a bit cliched (or perhaps a better word would be uninteresting) to have every crew member have a direct rival in this marine crew, so I think I won't partake in making a rival character. If GM really wants to make me one though, I won't complain.
Sounds good. I'd rather not try to play two characters at odds with each other, so I probably won't take part in the rival crew.
A prison could work. Some of the crew gets captured and so the prison group has to work to escape and the other group needs to get the ship fixed so that they could do a runner. I'd suggest that Hunter and Abigail would be in the group that's arrested, seeing how they probably have relatively high bounties.

Sounds good. Maybe the other group meets Eddie and Elliot, and that's when they join the crew to help them fix the ship/free their friends/escape.

@hozan It is up to everyone else, either way is fine with me. Just agree on something and I will add it to the crew's lore.

Also I edited Anna's bio to include a brief thing about her stealing the Dawn Seeker. I may expand on it later.

We can always exclude the giant unicorn, it seems kind of dumb for a pirate ship to me (or even and ex-marine ship)
And we can see about repurposing some of the rooms, after all we may only need 1 or 2 sailor rooms, we will have no need for a pet room, and probably not a research room.

Wow, whichever marine owned that ship must have had rather refined taste. :D
Maybe in this universe, Bon is a marine :p

@hozan maybe the whilrpool is caused by someone with a devil fruit? Or an mechanism from the ancient civilization that somehow turned on and now we have to deactivate it

If it's a marine prison island, then it could just be whoever is in charge has a whirlpool devil fruit?
@hozan I just remembered that my character gained his devil fruit by eating the one it was on his treasure chest that he grabbed when he shipwrecked since he had nothing left to eat. Perhaps there were two devil fruits in there and your character and mine ate one to not die of hunger?

I really like this. Since Elliot is a doctor as well, perhaps you were first to shipwreck on the island, and later when I arrived, I was injured quite badly,

Since a lot of people are shipwrecking on this island, maybe we can just call it "Shipwreck Island", and it's just an island that's in the middle of a giant whirlpool? Maybe its shores are filled with old ship wreckage and skeletons, and the whirlpool prevents everyone from getting off trivially.

...Yea...Totally on purpose...totally...I am so great. That was totally a happy accident but sure, we can say I did in intentionally

EDIT: So let's see if we have all this together so far. Anna, Hunter, and maybe Jack all know each other, though briefly from a tavern. Abigail comes to the tavern to hire the gunslinger known as Dead Eye and I guess gets a navigator and cook as well (for some reason). It is also a perk for Abigail that Anna has a ship, "Dawn Seeker". After leaving, the 4 either get attacked by marines, get caught in a storm, or both (still not entirely sure). Either way they end up on an island where there ship is in need of repairs. Here they meet the shipwrecked doctor and engineer. Who know each other either because they were coincidentally ended up on the same island, or some other way that hasn't been talked about yet. The ship gets fixed and they all sail off. They decide to use the name the Scarlet Fist Pirates, get a Jolly Rodger made and become a bad ass skull punching pirate crew.

Sound right?

Also @Eklispe are you going to put up your character, you are the last piece of the puzzle we need.

Sounds like a good summary. I'd add that if everyone's okay with this island being Shipwreck Island, and it's really hard to get off, maybe we had to work together using our wits to either fight off some baddie on the island who was causing the whirlpool to happen?

Or, we had to work together to find an ancient civilization using a treasure map the 4 brought, which had no treasure, but did have some sort of rocket engine similar to the coup de vent, which Eddie helped attach to the Dawn Seeker, allowing them to blast off away from the island?
So can I join you guys as an engineer? Maybe I got shipwrecked somewhere (perhaps near the beginning of the Grand Line), and helped you fight off some baddies?

Maybe doing a ratio type thing would work? For example nine 5/10 Hozen's character will get crap, 4/10 it'll be a so-so item and the last 1/10 he'll get something that he needs?

That sounds like a fairly balanced ratio to me.

Seems mostly alright. I'll ask you to elaborate a little on appearance though. Is he tall, short, bulging with muscles or a bit of a nerd, just so we have an idea of his general figure. For your power I'm curious, how do you plan on randomizing, just doing whatever comes to mind or have a table or some such?

How about if I have a really good idea for an item for a particular situation, I could send you it in OOC, but otherwise, you roll a d10 as @jynmi88 suggests, 1-5 being useless, 6-9 being workable, and 10 being really useful, then come up with an item yourself? Or if you don't care maybe you could just click random page on Wikipedia lots of times until something not entirely nonsensical comes up. It seems like regardless, I shouldn't really be just deciding what comes out myself, and there's no real way of ensuring I'm not cheating unless you make any such rolls yourself.
We could also have a table of categories to roll against.

EDIT: OK, I updated the appearance above.
