I like how you're flirting with the dismiss button on my screenshot. Just you wait, I'll save all your asses someday.
A good idea would be to read the plot summary Lennon wrote on the first page of the OOC. He writes in depth about the story leading up to Timber, so I'll overview that and go into more detail on recent events.

So, the world is largely the same as FF8's with a few notable exceptions. The main characters of the game obviously don't exist, and this extends to some other side characters including Sorceresses and Headmaster Cid, where an OC substitutes their role instead. This helps to just make the experience a lot fresher.

The RP starts in a very similar vein to FF8. Duncan (an instructor like Quistis) accompanies his class of students (including active members Xerox, Syrus and Eika) to their SeeD test in Dollet. Their objective differs from the main game, but ultimately, they encounter a Galbadian officer (Asa) and the radio they're trying to repair. A battle rages on the tower Asa has Duncan captive, and ultimately Asa chooses to retreat into a Galbadian Warship, which chases the SeeD members off. What changes here to the main game is that the radio tower is destroyed and not functioning.

SeeD manage to escape, but a call is made from Galbadian to raze Dollet the ground. So in this universe Dollet now no longer exists. Due to Galbadia's control over most of the world, expect propaganda about the whole thing.

So the SeeD return to the Garden, both their duties fulfilled and yet resulting in an ultimate failure. Duncan loses his Instructor job and is given a new one where he has to lead future operations in Galbadia, and the next day they're given a mission to aid a rebel faction within the Galbadian army. They're sent to Timber where they meet a Faction Liason (Mei and her brother) and they are given a mission to kidnap a high ranking Major in the Galbadian Army. Cue the mission taking place at the Headquarters in Timber, a lot of bloodshed and a few injured SeeDs and a couple of dead ones.

Ultimately they succeed and Wiggs is captured and interrogated for information. Duncan is informed of the next objective, which will take place in Deling City. So with the field team chosen, they embark on the train and head for the city, where they prepare for their next debriefing.

So that's (roughly) the story so far. Lennon has already stated OOC that we're going to assassinate the President as the next objective, so the event is going to play out a bit like the Sorceress parade, but without the Sorceress.

So yeah. Phew. Anyone still lost on any particular point, please let me know as I would like to see some posting before Lennon comes back. If you can't post soon give us a head's up here. If you don't...well...

Expect to be thrown into the Tomb of the Unknown King. Ohohoho.

Hmm...we have only just arrived in DC rivaan so the times of arrival don't really differ. She can easily have just completed a mission in DC and been told to stay undercover until Duncan and co arrive. We can organize some kind of rendezvous with your character somewhere in the city maybe?
well Im doing a bloody nightshift myself right now. I work at a net cafe which means I have constant pc access all night, but... Some pretty problematic clients are here and well let's just say after dealing with a drunk client I barely ahve enough desire to even stay up anymore...

Oh geez that sounds like the worst. Drunk people can be right dickheads. It's alright to have a good time, but you shouldn't harass other people in the process.

As for me, I've been having problems with the ventilator not doing its job of well, ventilating. -.- I'm an ITU nurse so fixing the darn thing has been giving me more grief than I'd like. At least my patient was still ok and able to cope whilst I fixed it.

will decide what exactly will it be tomorrow. When I can think straight again

Sounds like a plan. I'm pretty frazzled too so we'll hold off on SRS plot talk til tomorrow.

-noms on a sammich totally lost.

Sounds like you need a little help there. XD I'll write up a synopsis on here tomorrow to help get everyone up to speed on what we've done and where we're heading plotwise.
So to the co-GM: is my sheet approuved?! *makes puppy eyes* Cause I really want to start writing :3

Sorry! I must have completely missed your post. :3 Your CS is accepted, no problems here. Please post your sheet in the Character section and Lennon will add you into our roster.

Have you got an idea on how to integrate your character into the plot? We've just arrived in Deling City with a couple of new arrivals so you can work yourself in as a recruited SeeD for the mission. If you need a synopsis for the plot so far let me know.

Phew, I can't wait to be done with these night shifts. I feel like Bagpuss in the day I swear all I do is sleep.
Posted. Everyone has arrived in Deling City and there will be time for a little exploration before we carry on the plot. So feel free to do whatever with your characters. Chill out at the hotel, shop or just go general sightseeing if you like.

Just don't get lost in the Tomb of the Unknown King

Also if anyone is wondering Asa is at the Presidential Residence at the moment. So not really available to interact with yet. But I mighhhhht bring her out to meet someone she doesn't know in the group if the posting speed improves.
Mei Song

Upon entering the train compartment, the last thing Mei had expected was for a beautiful, bespectacled woman to approach Syrus and embrace him so fondly. Outrage spread across Mei's normally peppy features and she opened her mouth to spout her disapproval, but the busty young lady had quickly interjected that she was in fact Duncan, but with rather large...enhancements. The anger that had risen quickly changed to that of utter confusion as the ex-instructor adopted a more cool, professional manner as he talked to the group about disembarking. The situation diffused for now, Mei decided to spend the remainder of the journey looking out the window at the sprawling valleys and forests that they passed.

Whilst keeping a close eye on Syrus, of course.

Eventually, the train screeched to a halt, and the group of SeeD started to spill out from the slid-open doors. Mei followed the herd, her eyebrows shooting up as Duncan suddenly dove into the bushes conspicuously. "Mr...?"

In a matter of seconds, Duncan appeared back from the shrubbery, his male form regained and a cigarette in his mouth. This is just downright bizarre... were her thoughts as Syrus walked over and engaged in conversation with the other male. Was SeeD always like this? She always imagined them to be cool and hardened from the endless struggles of battle. Perhaps she had romanticized them a little too much. They were mostly teenagers after all.

"Deling City, here we come!" Mei chirped, a sudden burst of energy overtaking her as she took the lead of the group with a skip in her step.

This would be the place where things would finally start to be put in motion.

"Woooow..."

After the long taxi journey from the station, Mei was quick to get out and stretch her legs, her eyes lighting up joyously at the streams of traffic, the blaring lights, the smell of petrol and food in the air...

"It's been so long since I've been to DC..." Mei murmured dreamily to no one in particular. "I think I was about 4 or 5 then. Tyler got us hopelessly lost and all he would do was cry and cry until someone finally helped us find our parents." A fond smile lifted her lips at that moment, before she turned back to the others. "Look, I know we have a job to do here, but surely it would be okay to have a little look around first, right?" Her question was aimed at Duncan in particular, since he seemed to carry the most authority of the group at present.

Asa Fiore

"This is worse than being in a battlezone..."

Ace leaned against the wall, looking disdainfully at the dancers quarrelling about the sequence of their routine. Honestly the whole parade for the Galbadian President was completely in bad taste, especially so soon after wiping Dollet off the map. Asa herself had met Mr Vinzer Deling a few times, and every time, she had been left with a sour taste in her mouth. It was like the man was so disconnected with reality that all he could see was how much land he hadn't painted red yet.

If her efforts had been purely for servicing that man, Ace would have quit the army years ago, but her own agenda was far too important to risk over a few...moral issues. So, she would have to suck it up and perform her duty.

Even if it meant guarding a completely obnoxious and expensive ceremony.

"Man...looks like the President is going all out this year, huh..." A fellow soldier whispered over to her with a slight shake of his head. "Honestly I'd rather be home with my girl, but what can you do? Can't trust SeeD not to interfere after their exploits in Timber..."

Ah yes...Ace had heard about what had happened in Timber. A siege of the Galbadian Headquarters and a kidnapping of a high rank Galbadian Major. Of course this meant that SeeD could very well be privy to classified information now, which is why security had increased tenfold around the city. The wiser move would have been to cancel the nonsensical parade, but Deling was having none of it.

Typical.

"Wiggs was quite the powerhouse too. Heard it wasn't an easy fight," the other soldier gossiped further. "I mean, wasn't he, you know, enhanced?"

"Most likely," was Ace's response, her gaze fixed dully on one of the dancers as she tried to choreograph the sway of her hips with the others. "That's what tends to happen the higher you climb. You get promoted...with all the perks."

And you lose whatever humanity you had left. Unfolding her arms, Ace turned to her fellow guard. "I want everyone to be extra cautious for the parade tomorrow. The enemy has shown no signs of getting out of our way so far, so neither should we."

"Normally I would just say it'll be a snoozefest, but you're probably right..." he sighed, looking back at the dancing girls appreciatively. "Hmm...which one would you go for, Lieutenant?"

"All of them," she answered plainly, eliciting a whistle from her comrade as she returned to her copy of Weapons Monthly.
Posting today. Get ready to hit the city.
As co-GM @Kissu is in charge in my absence.

Heh...heh heh.

COUGH. Um. Right. In that case, I'll be making a post tomorrow moving us all forward to Deling City. Feel free to post in the meantime and try to wrap up conversations before then please.

Also, nice to meet you rivaan and I hope you enjoy the ride along with the rest of us. And no worries on that, RL comes first. Thanks for letting us know. Look forward to your post!
what have i done
Umm...uhhh...did I log into Tumblr by accident?

Srsly

I don't really have anything to add to the topic of the day besides that I think asexuality should be included and acknowledged for the reasons already listed, not to mention that Persona itself doesn't shy from this kinda stuff. The way they dealt with Kanji's sexuality for example was in no way straight- forward. Snrk.

However, if I start seeing panfluid trans-ethnic lion-kins running around then I have more than a few objections.
