"Unbowed and Unbroken"

The Imperial Cabinet
--- 19th July ---

"These Karalians, these refugees, they are not of our nation! Send them back!" A voice boomed, it's source a deceptively small man donned in a black three piece suit with an immaculately white undershirt. A man of many seated at the great table but of importance none-the-less, for he was Steffen von Kohlhase, the Prime Minister of Tyria, answerable only to his peers andtheEmperor. "This is no time for sentiment, we must remain firm against dissent. That which the Seljuk Empire does to them once they cross that border is beyond our control. We are not accountable."

"The man which sends another to his death is just as accountable as the one who swings the axe, who pulls the lever." A duke stated glumly from his seat nearby, drawing the irksome gaze of the Prime Minister.

"Enough!" A new voice joined the din, this one accompanied with a thud of the table with a fist. The medals adorning his uniformed chest jingled as the Chief of Army, Matrin Kohler, pulled back his arm with words on his lips. "This is not a debate of morals, it is simple pragmatism. My Emperor, we must hand the Karalians over to the Seljuk for the state must face the traitorous radicals in our own midst, not a man is to be spared guarding refugees. Not a single man." With that the room turned silent, all eyes turned to the monarch whom sat at the head of table.

After some time, the Emperor King responded: "See that it is done Matrin. Send them back." He resolved with a solemn tone.

--- 15th August, 27 Days Later ---

The early morning light spilled into the room as servants and aides rushed to and fro, setting platters down upon tables and pulling open shutters to great yawning windows. Beyond the panes of glass it was yet dawn, and a pale orange lingered in the sky. Despite this, a group of persons found themselves once more seated at the great table which had become a common sight for the Imperial Cabinet whom had met to convene multiple times throughout the troubled July in order to oversee the precarious situation. While it seemed the state had survived the tumultuous month, steps had been taken assuming the worst. Across the country local Landwehr Divisions had been recalled and put on alert, local constabularies had been reinforced and there had even been talk of the purchase and deployment of Saurilian machine guns in order to control potentially riotous crowds.

In the end, none of that had appeared necessary for the state seemed to once more relapse into peace, the state had survived. For how long. For how long would peace last? This question remained on the minds of every man present, some believed indefinitely, others wanted to be prepared when the time came. The debate on how to proceed regarding the Civil Suppression Act went on until the sky had turned a gloomy grey, a light rain now pattered against the glass beyond.

"How we proceed is very much up to us my fellows. The Emperor is attending a ball in Sauril, as such the decision we make today lies solely with us. And it must be decided today." Ulrich Strauss, the Minister of the Interior, spoke as the debate continued anew until finally, a consensus could be reached by dinner that day.

Civil Suppression Act (1910)

After long and deliberating debate, the Imperial Cabinet announces it's intentions to both Parliaments, to put forth the Civil Suppression Act (1910) which will grant enhanced powers to the authorities of the state in protecting the state internally and ensuring under the act, never again a repeat of the Troubles. Hailed by the Prime Minister of Tyria as "the Act to ensure the safety of the nation, to ensure she stands united against the foes of the world who would see her crushed and alone." The Act, while not publicly announced, would also oversee the creation of the 'Internal Security Bureau', a secret intelligence and law enforcement agency which is intended to operate beyond and above the law in order to suppress political dissent away from the public eye.

Denial of Xian

The Tyro-Antarian Empire denies the recognition of the Republic of Xian, decrying the state as one of "Up-jumped sycophants praying on the weaknesses of foreign nations in the name of a disgraceful 'democracy'."

@Crosswire Yeah the RP is still accepting players! Your CS looks fine but just a heads up, I believe your desired spot is already taken by a player. Here's a link to the most updated map of Centran (Not-Europe) with the current nations: s21.postimg.org/hqfcgh0mf/World_005.png

It is worth noting that a few of these nations are NPCs which you could replace with your own nation. Thecia directly to the east of your wanted spot is one such NPC. Should ya need any help, there's also the chatzy where there's usually someone on. Link here: us20.chatzy.com/24997426884830

Karalian Refugees

With the continued advances of Seljuk forces against Karalian dissidents in the neighboring province, the dual monarchy has seen a vast influx of refugees crossing her borders in their reportedly thousands. In response, a meeting of the Imperial Cabinet is set to convene in the coming week where a permanent solution might be discussed and found. As it stands, local constabularies with the support of local military personnel, most notably the 21st Landwher Division, have been tasked with the gathering of these refugees and the reinforcing of the Tyro-Seljuk border. The refugees are to be relocated to the east coast of Tyria-Antar temporarily, under the watch of the constabulary, while the Imperial Cabinet reaches a decision as to what is to be done having received both demands for their return to face summary justice from the Seljuk Empire and offers of sanctuary from neighboring Blutland.

Foulois Accord

'A most auspicious day!' and 'None can doubt the Empire' dominates the headlines of Tyro-Antari newspapers as the Foulois Accord comes to an end. The diligent diplomats of the Imperial Diplomatic Corps have returned with grand news that through hard-fought diplomacy against steep foes, the Koringas Islands are to remain under the Imperial Banner of the good Empire. Asserting their claim to the isles, it is undeniable, it is indisputable. The Koringas Isles are to remain forever Tyro-Antari until the end of days.

From One Crown to Another

Under the watchful gaze of it's escort, the Destroyer SMS Huzsar, the Imperial yacht flying the Tyro-Antari flag at full mast crept into the harbour of Kamrun. It's passenger a diplomat from the Tyro-Antarian Empire, would offer a warm welcome to the Samgolan people in joining the prestigious 'nations of the world.' Carried with him, were official papers bearing the formal recognition of the Kingdom of Samgola by the Tyro-Antarian Empire.

A Night of Smoke and Fine Wine

Swinging in their moorings, the two Dreadnoughts Holzer and Kohlberg lay festooned in light and the sounds of laughter and mirth as they sat fast alongside one another upon the calm waves. The flagship Holzer's decks, covered by striped awnings, were set with circular dinner tables adorned in cloth while that of Kohlberg's provided space for dancing, covered gangways joined the two ships, hung as they were with coloured lights and bunting.

To the honour went these two ships of the Imperial Navy, of hosting both the Emperor King Adalar and his cousin and King of Jouran, Rictus of the houses Wolfram. Upon their steel quarterdecks a ball was taking place, souls danced and dined in an assembly of nobility, royalty and foreign diplomats liberated from their respective embassies. The two monarchs greeted each other warmly, despite the tensions running between states it took much to muddy that of bloodlines as they discussed at length a variety of subjects into the night over cigars and fine platters. For many the night would pass in a blur of swirling smoke, fine wines and food, and the intricacies of the ball upon great castles of steel.

The Carlsburg Affair

Following the recent inquiry embarked upon by Jouran officials into the Carlsburg affair, the Tyro-Antarian diplomatic attaché in Jouran announces that "While the Empire joins the Jouran in grief and a wish for justice in this most unfortunate affair, this justice can only be found from within Tyria-Antar and will be overseen as such, by Tyro-Antari officials and punished by those laws. The truth will be found." the envoy states.

Kavonian Denouncement Crisis

Earlier this month, the Tyro-Antarian Empire announced it's support for the Kingdom of Jouran in the Crisis brought about by Kavonian fear mongering. The Foreign Minister of the Imperial Cabinet, Claus Tischer, has since released the following statement in support of his nation: "This crisis developing before us which threatens to undo everything built upon this continent, this crisis enforced by the most militant of nations. The vast hordes of Staratians and the gunboat diplomats of Zellonia bark and yap, they scream for a proclaimed peace with a barrel against your head! These states do not call for peace, they call for submission and compliance, they would have the entire continent at their mercy. Today they demand through their puppet of Kavonia the dearmament of a single state, tomorrow it shall be Saurilia, Dongaria or the Empire herself! A nation's right is to defend herself until the last drop of blood, to the last shell and bullet. Those who demand one can not, should not defend herself, can only hold the most darkest of ambitions of which we will fight."

@ClocktowerEchos Hey Clock, could I get a re-roll for my Unique Resource and Equipment Quality?
Consider me interested. I'll take some rolls, and then heads can... roll.

Foulois Accord

Following the Blutlandic delegate and his impassioned speech regarding the loss of trade following 2 years of occupation of the Koringas Islands, three isles which he doubted the man had ever heard of before this accord, went the honour of standing and speaking to the Tyrian diplomat, one Alfred von Kohlberg. With a stroke of his fine mustache, tended to this very morning by his own personal barber, the Tyrian noble slowly regarded the congregation. A congregation it had taken the Estalians two years to call he noted with slight mirth.

"A fine speech herr Hettinger." The Tyrian spoke as he turned to regard the Blutlander. "Complete with all the nuance and narration I'd expect from one of your newspapers in their sentiment against the good Empire... If we was here today to talk of oppression and impediment, I would dine to bring up the forced assimilation campaign embarked upon by one's government, that of 'Blutlandification' upon the people of seven nation states by the few. But alas we are not, so let us talk of these three isles. These three isles which are, and remain of strategic importance to the Empire. However, we also see that for our aims to be met in this accord, we do not require the ownership of the Koringas but basing rights for the Imperial Fleets. It is a nations right to ensure the protection of a strait which it itself relies upon in maritime trade and influence at sea."

"Where are my soldier's rifles!?"

A cause for great concern has rippled throughout the military and governance of the Empire this season as a training mobilization was called in coincident timing of the Foulois Accord. The states vast standing army, a cause for great prestige within the Empire matched in size only by the extensive Republic of Staratia, made for a fine sight as hundreds of men reported to barracks and frontier posts across the dual monarchy. After concluding reports to the Imperial Cabinet however, and to the shock of many it was found that less than half of the assembled men could be armed with rifles as foreign military attaches looked on.

A dark day for the Empire to which the Emperor was reported to have questioned "Where are my soldier's rifles!?" in anger as several prominent military figures have taken to calling the discovery a "national disgrace" while others look to blaming foreign subterfuge or the inherent bureaucracy of the Empire. Whatever maybe the case, the armaments are simply not there.

Foulois Accord

As the congregation stood before the great Saurilian oak doors of the Imperial Palace of Wreslou, the wind tugged at five greatcoats of the assembled diplomats and at the thirteen tails of ceremonial military uniforms. That of the monarchs adorned in ornamental gold braids and a green sash crossing from the shoulder to a fine leather belt at the waist.

"You are soldiers." The Emperor called to the five before him as the wayward winds whipped. Behind the monarch stood twelve honour guard, all in ceremonial dress with rifles braced against their chests and a saber at their sides. Their faces were that of silent sentinels, as emotionless as golems.

"You are soldiers of a different caliber, a barbed wit and skilled word-craft are your weapons on the battlefield, for that is what it is. We are still fighting a war, make no mistake, this Accord called by the Estalians is war. It may not be fought with blades and rifles, but their goal is all the same. The unlawful acquisition of land from our great state, our nation unified in arms." The Emperor King, Adalar of the House Wolfram spoke as he looked over each of the five diplomats, before moving to shake the hand of each. The first belonged to that of Alfred von Kohlberg, a Tyrian noble drawn from the Imperial Diplomatic Corps whom sported a great bushy moustache with it's extended, upturned points, the creation of a skilled barber and a can of wax. The second, that of one, Wilhelm Bott. A fellow Tyrian with a skill for debate and argument. The man was a boisterous voice within the Diplomatic Corps certainly, now he would be boisterous abroad. The third belonged to that of an Antarian, Edward Rusin, a rather aged man with graying hairs though a proven and weathered diplomat. It was said he remained in the Corps only by sheer will. Fourthly there was Viktor von Feig, a Tyrian noble and family friend of the Wolfsrams, a friendship which no doubt had earned him this position. Lastly stood another Antarian, one, Dominik Antol. The very diplomat the Antarian Pariliament had fought tooth and nail to ajoin the diplomatic party headed for Thecia. Little was known of the man not of noble blood, but the Emperor had conceded.

"Go forth my champions, instill the fear of god in our foes who would share your table. Ensure that not a single remark goes unchallenged, that no retort goes without a murmur. Show them that within the Empire lies a beating heart, a lions roar!" The Emperor shouted, the vast and varied medals of national and foreign prestige adorning his chest clinking as the troupe of diplomats made their way towards the automobile waiting for them on the gravel ground. Thecia and the Foulois Accord awaited them.
