Might have to move back in with my parents. This town is toxic and my leasing company is criminal. I'm tired of spending my free time with my attorney.

Bio

I write a little bit of everything. If you really want to know what sort of things my mind goes to, here's a link:Pens and Swords

In the end, I like to think I'm an easygoing, friendly, and personable fellow. And I would certainly consider myself skilled in the art of non-aggressive communicatio- WHATCHU SAY ABOUT MY MOM

@Polybius I think what really got me into the "Dying World" fantasy was actually Lovecraft's Memory.

It was mainly the concept that all of our great works are useless. To take a line from Shelley, "Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair" is kinda the idea I got from it.
@KiritoAsuna AH! I understand what you're saying now. The simplification helped greatly.

I assumed that most of the students' reason for being in the school would be their parents. These are kids in the mid-teens, so their parents likely enrolled them for the school's reputation.
THEORY:

I have a theory that the nature of electricity is the nature of life. Every living thing runs on bioelectrical impulses, directing its behaviour. Well, every actively living thing. In that concept, I wonder at all of our electronic marvels. What if, in a sense, we are actively creating simple, disposable life forms? Electrocution, it is possible, is simply too much "life energy" for a body to handle, as we know that there are vessels that could contain the energy of a lightning strike. However, against this theory is another theory of mine that the nature of life is actually heat.
@Polybius I can't take any of the credit. It's been a joint effort, all along. The excellent cast, balanced both in personality as well as capability, a GM who understands the need for individual creativity and freedom, and a world that is enough flesh and blood to understand, but enough mystery and intrigue to be malleable.

I'm very impressed with not only the subject matter, but the concept of the "dying world". Always have been fascinated by that. I've long been tired of the "young world" high fantasy trope. In fact, if you'd like, I have my own "dying world" concept in my Pens and Swords thread, that I think you would not only enjoy exploring, but could even provide new and intelligent insight on. Frankly, I've hit a wall with it anyway.
@KiritoAsuna I'm not sure if I expressed the full prognosis here. What I'm really going for is an "bad guy vs. bad guy both using the innocents as weapons against the other" sort of deal. I figured the primary "character building" would be the manipulation of the students. With a good, detailed biography, static personality traits, and then some more transient, malleable traits on top of that, I felt that the students would be nuanced enough to essentially play themselves.

Also, it seems that your concept of Demonic Possession is that the possessor has ultimate power over the possessed. This is not always the case. Many who claim to have been possessed also claim that their faith, as well as noticing the symptoms and signs of early possession, were enough to nip it in the bud. However, as kids, the students would have a decidedly feeble capability to resist, at least until they recognize it, the demon manifests, or it speaks to them. Oftentimes, in possession cases, the possessed undergoes drastic personality and behavioural changes without ever being aware that something is horribly wrong, until manifestation.

If I've misunderstood your point, I apologize. Some things just fly right over my head sometimes.
Geez. Just read back through the IC. This RP reads like a novel.@Polybius great job you're doing, here!
What's wrong with the direction? If you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it. I'm still working on fleshing out all the details, so anything helps.@KiritoAsuna

I figured the real meat of it would be the manipulation of the students. I'd put up full character sheets and psych evals for each student.
Possession.

The darkness whipsers little snippets of madness and wisdom as you lay awake, pondering the day's endeavors. Your contemporary Christian school is strict. The teachers are like commanders. They oppress you. But now, you have a new friend. And they're not from around here. They don't know the rules yet. But they'll learn. And so will you. You will learn so much.

Occupied Territory is the story of young men and women frustrated at their religious school's opression of personal freedom, freedom of speech, of expression, of humanity. These young men and women one day hear a little voice. A small one, that whispers hope. The voice helps them, makes them better people. But then it changes.

Demon possession is at the heart of this, as players, you'll be taking the form not of one of the students, as I will control their actions, but a demon. Your duty is to derail your student's faith, and anyone else you come in contact with.

NO HOLDS BARRED.

*With the controversial nature of this RP, I most certainly understand that some folks will have trouble with the subject matter. I can assure you I've done my research, on both the possessors and possessed. I know what I'm doing.
Besides, give the grittier folks a darker outlet, right?

@Rithy I'll go for it. I'll PM you when I'm finished, ight?

EDIT: That should be more coherent.
