I'm excited for our first bout of combat.
Though her expression changed little, Alya was bemused by the tussle that unfortunately damaged the guilds wall. Certainly the most famous adventurer among those outside the Guild, Siph was no less than a living legend. There was no doubt that despite the height difference between Siph and the Lycan, the former's ‘presence’ matched the later. No, rather, it exceeded it. The denmother was more than proof of that. Any rumor about Siph’s amazing strength gained validity in the half-Sylphs mind after having seen exceed it in a wrestling match. Certainly an interesting fellow.

Still, she did not forget to watch the others as this odd but hilarious situation unfolded. As one would expect, the Lycan and Orc made their way out of the building in short order. Weird to her, the Lycan had reacted more poorly to the situation than she had thought. He really must have a one track mind. Just how much human was left in Mister Grendrick? And almost as important, which exact part of that human remained? Perhaps they could relate better than she had expected, though not in attitude. The humanity he lacked showed, which would inevitably lead to conflict within their group down the road. Alya was content to exist within the background, but to be a leader is to burden yourself. The half-sylph had no doubts about his potential as a warrior, but this situation was still bound to one day become delicate.

Shortly Grendrick had left and people began to crowd about Siph and his companion, they being the...dominating figures of the room that they were. She made sure to give the conversation some attention, but didn’t rise like the others. Instead, she went about preparing a list of basic provisions for their group that could last a few days. Alya was sure it likely wouldn’t last that long, but being careful was better than dying. Keeping your strength up on the battlefield was no joke.

“I’ll front the cost for our basic supplies. If it's fine, I'd like to buy them when we make our way to the Church.” She spoke up just loud enough to be heard by the rather enthusiastic group, list of supplies in hand. After all, you can't go into a dungeon without the most important tool for any adventurer; rope.

The only alternative to buying their own was relying on the guild for supplies, but she’d rather inspect the teams things herself. Siph made them a target, and there was no shortage of unsavory types in the city. She also didn’t want to stop some of the more impatient members to inspect things just before entering the rift. It wouldn’t set well with the Orc or Lycan in all likelihood, the later more likely so.
The adventurers guild must be as wealthy and influential as the rumors said. Sparing such a room like this for a motley crew like them was saying good things. Having been the last one to arrive and take a seat, she had little time to really appreciate the scenery. While she wasn't exactly expecting a shack, having such a spacious room and various refreshments was more than she expected. It said a few things about the current stability of the Infinity Bridge, and certainly the status quo would be preferred when it came to any artefact of that class. As Alya went about reading and signing the paperwork, she made a mental note to be watchful of unusual activities in whatever rifts they decided to raid in the future.

While sipping on some of the quality wine they were provided, she decided to take a short look around the room and be judgmental. First impressions were sometimes false, but it'd be better that a bad first impression was also the last if it involved her own survival.

The Orc seated to the right of her was as notable as he was imposing. Certainly a plus in any situation involving the spilling of blood and Alya assumed there'd be a lot of that going on. While they were typically characterized as unruly barbarians, they were experts in the art of refined violence- Alya could respect that. No doubt, this was a party member she could rely on in the carnage of the battlefield.

Next, of course, were the pair who seemed to be be making introductions to each other. A magic user(For who else could possibly tame the countless bugs writhing under her clothes?) and an elf. Elves were long lived professionals, and the one sitting across from her was likely far older then her rather young appearance suggested. She probably had a few things in common with this elf, at least, moreso than the various humans present here. They were a notable someone to keep an eye on, but there was little to fuel doubts about the elves competence or will to fight. The mage girl she was conversing with was a bigger oddity than the elf. A girl covered in insects who decided to wear clothing like that to a meeting with her fellow adventurers was interesting enough. Mages always seemed to be eccentric, but this one was one of the more abnormal ones she had seen, at least in context. There were many questions surrounding this particular comrade, but they seemed legitimate enough. They must have a lot of self-discipline to tolerate that sort of magic. She doubted they would prove incompetent.

Continuing her brief scan of those seated, the half-sylph became a little puzzled over the presence of one of the party members. They'd been wearing clothes reminiscent of the common street trash. They seemed just as out of place in this building as the Orc or the Lycan, which was saying something. She doubted they were some random here for the food. The guild wasn't exactly insecure, so it's likely they just came here without armor or a need for it. She made another mental note to specifically keep her eye on this girl and figure a bit more out about them. While she doubted anything surprising, their circumstances still somewhat interested them. It was best not to think to much into it right now, though.

The dominate figure of the room, the Lycan, had already responded about a possible group name. While the meaning was fitting, it was a bit long. Perhaps an Acronym could work? It didn't really matter to her, though. The name was mostly for bureaucratic purposes; beyond that it had little uses except for public relations and popularity. If that were the case, though, she'd had a little bit of investment in it.

"Perhaps we should name ourselves after getting a feel for our groups capabilities in action?" She spoke up after finally finishing the paper work, addressing her words toward the Lycan and Artemis. While her tone was certainly reserved it certainly wasn't mumbling or particularly weak willed. She was a bit better in a more professional environment where boundaries were set by outside forces without the ambiguity of more personal interaction.

The Lycan seemed strong willed and was probably a very capable veteran. He got them free cheese anyhow, so she saw no need to cause a fuss over his assertion of leadership. That being said, the human boy with a sword had quite a lot of enthusiasm. He seemed like one of those knight types who always went off about their own values, whatever they decided they were. Certainly not someone she'd associate with normally(for obvious reasons), but she wanted to keep an eye on him. How his demeanor and ideals developed over time and after experiencing death could be interesting. If he was more than talk he'd be a reliable teammate for sure, which seemed to be a running theme in this party. Good, she had no qualms about joining these people.

Alya preferred to work with someone who had a strong fighting spirit rather than someone who was weak willed. Most battles fought are brawls based on the will of both parties participants. When the men of an army feel defeated, they are defeated even if they took minimal causalities or damage. In other words, she'd rather have a lamb with the spirit of a lion than a lion with the spirit of a lamb. After all, those types made the best meat shields for "tactical retreats". Dying was expensive, after all.

I've begun my entrance post.

1:

I've changed them to be half-sylph in the same sense as half-elves so that they fit the roleplays world. I wasn't sure what your specific lore would be so I made sure not to elaborate on their father very much for that specific reason.

2:

I removed the meteor hammer seeing as though it's just a novelty weapon, along with some other pointless bloat. The robes enchantment is utter garbage, it just makes it psuedo hardened leather armor.

Gud

My Sylph Rogue/Assassin should be arriving within a few hours at the most.
How tantalizing. Since this is party based, it would probably be a good idea if us party members told each other what our plans were for characters. I'm not betting money on a team of rogues routing the barbarian horde plane.
I think I'll humor this, count me in.
