Bio

A new guy!

I've role-played for a good few years across various mediums, most of which have been games! I've tried out forum role-play in the past and while I've always been quite intimidated by it, I figured that I'd give it a go. So here I am!

I'm interested primarily in role-plays that have a little humour about them, albeit I am also completely obsessing over the idea of nation role-plays at the moment. With luck, I'll be involved in both before long!

That said, I look forward to meeting you all!

P-Pad

Just leaving the pirate pad link here once again to shove it in folks minds! Feel free to use the pad to work out history, quite a lot of work has gone into it lately, and it's great to have all the history/relations in one place.

Slightly darker purple marks borders.
Purple dots represent larger cities (The capital is not included, for it is beyond the present map)
Smaller settlements such as towns and villages are not marked on the map, though they are naturally scattered throughout.
Says the guy who's literally playing as an insectoid species in a medieval RP.

Taken from the OP,

a unique fantasy world

Furthermore, while multiple sentient species will inhabit this world, I would like to stay away from the elf/dwarf/gnome/orc/goblin mainstays of D+D. Players would be encouraged to give the traditional fantasy races a unique twist, or better yet invent their own!

I really don't want to add flames to the fire, but I think the miscommunication is that this isn't neccessarily a straight-up medieval roleplay. It's a fantasy world, granted a low-fantasy one at that, but players are encouraged to create their own races and then we will create a history to incorporate them in the world we're creating.
In any case, I am sad to see you go! I personally don't share your other feelings about the state of the nations, but I do wish you fun in any other roleplay you end up in!
@GreivousKhan You can still make a city, I think!

I don't want to speak for Flagg, but I believe I remember him saying that he would simply have the title changed based on how many cities there were.

EDIT : Yep, you can make a city-state!

We're still open for both faction and city NSes, and I will change the uh title of the roleplay to reflect how many cities we actually get.

Pirate Pad!

Just leaving the link to the PiratePad here. We've been using it to collaborate with each other on a world history of sorts.
WIP Nation Sheet

@Darkmatter Sounds good to me!

I've spent you a PM to go over any fine details of history you may wish to, and to cover the topic of enslavement.
Looks absolutely fantastic, Flagg!

I'll get working on this sheet pronto. I'm looking to create a sheet for the Empire that will be bordering (and eventually aiming to conquer) the Seven Cities. I'm going to paste what I sent Flagg in a PM (as well as some additions I've made in the final paragraph in light of the main post), during a discussion about the various existing empires, that will hopefully provdie a general overview of what the Empire is going to 'be like', while I iron out the fine details of the NS and the history. On that note, please feel free to contact me on this thread or shoot me a PM if you want your city-state to have had specific interactions with the Empire in the past, and I'll see about working it in, as I've intentionally left things vague enough when it concerns the city-states to allow for many different interactions in the past.

The Nation Sheet (WIP)

@Aristo That looks neato! If you'd like to work out some history with Eilean at all, feel free to shoot a PM my way. (Maybe Eilean took some of the elven land during its initial expansion etc..) Entirely up to you, however! :)
Definitely interested!

If you'd like a player to control the Empire, I'm also interested in giving that a whack.
