Vassals of Baile

Lady Eileen Corwin, Duchess of Craigscourt

The Duchess is a giant red haired woman and veteran warrior of 36 years. She is wed to Gary Corwin, 32, and together they have a handful of children. The Corwins are an ancient family, older even than the Hartens, and it is said that they ruled Craigscourt in the day of Hayden himself. Because of this they enjoy great status and respect wherever they roam in the land. The Corwins have also always been open with their opinion that the nation must expand via conquest as to not upset the gods. They are however fiercely loyal to the ruling Hartens, and the very notion that they’d do anything without their rulers consent is seen as absurd.

Lord Saxon Stillwater, Duke of Blackfell

The Duke is an old man of 73, jokingly known for having the longest beard in all of Seyan. He is wed to Isolde Stillwater, also 73, and have a single son; Arthur, 45. The Stillwaters rose to power rather recently, knighted for their outstanding service to the crown only three generations ago. By a lucky circumstance Blackfell was currently without a protector, and so the newly elevated family was allowed to take seat there. The Stillwaters are very much into trade, more so than any other noble family in Baile. As a result of this, they are very much against war and have always called for peace whenever conflict is brewing. The family is completely loyal to the crown, still thankful for the honors given to them.
@Cold Hands@OppositionJ Accepted!

@The Sparrow Looks sweet. Just finish the descriptions and you're accepted :)

@ClocktowerEchos Can't see your location, otherwise nice!

Still working on vassals, will get a few of them done in a bit.
Alrighty then, here goes vassals!

Vassals of Pelataria

Cesare Deluci, Master of the Honorable Guild of Spicers

Cesare Deluci is a big, bloated, immensely rich man of 45. He is wed to Giulia Amarello, 36. They have no official children, although it is said that they both keep lovers and have bastards throughout the realm. Apart from being filthy rich, the Master of the Honorable Guild of Spicers has been proclaimed governor of the town of Porto Alba by the city council, and thus enjoys military as well as economic power. A true merchant prince, his greed is said to be unquenchable, and rumor has it that he is loyal to his purse first and the King second. He has always been loyal to the crown this far, though.

Bianca Rosso, Master of the First Bank of Sylva

Bianca Rosso is an old shriveled crone of 69. Her husband, Alberto Luca, is dead since twelve years but she still has a host of children, most of who are wed to merchants and prominent figures around the realm. Bianca’s great grandfather founded the First Bank of Sylva, and the Rosso family is one of the wealthiest families in Seyan because of it. While having no official political power, it is widely known that the old banker has all of Sylva in her hand (at the very least). It is also said that she has strong ties to nobility on the continent, a fact that might affect her loyalty to Pelataria. She has however never done anything to provoke the royal family.

A note on vassals:

Your vassals are, as previously stated, NPCs of considerable power. Each of your vassals represents about 20% of your military and economic power (leaving you in complete control of 60%) and can be ordered to assault or defend positions. Depending on your stance with the vassal, they will carry out or ignore the order. Vassals may also act independently if left without instructions or if ordered to do so. Keeping a good relationship with your vassals is important as they might become a threat to you if mismanaged. Your chosen Traits and Flaws obviously interact with your relation.
Hey thrashy, how goes the vassal work?

I'm working on it. I have a lot of things on my plate but they will be completed before too long, no worry.
@The Sparrow Looking good! You may of course have access to the mountains - I believe Huscarl and Cold Hands are doing the same.

@Nerevarine That area has been claimed by Huscarl and OppositionJ. This area, however

Hasn't been claimed by anyone yet.
@The Sparrow Looks ok.

@Cold Hands This is actually a valid point. Would you concede control of the mountains, Sparrow? You don't have to, but it'd be cool if the mountains were neutral. I could use that as well, in introducing neutral regions with... hostile inhabitants ;)
@Huscarl@Raptorman Both accepted!

I've started work on Pelatarias vassals as well. I'll add notes on the functions of vassals in the upcoming post. Stay tuned.
@Huscarl Looking good, finish the description and you'll probably be accepted.

@OppositionJ Also nice, but there's a minor mistake made in your pick of traits: to have access to the Filthy Rich trait, you must also pick the Important Trade Routes trait.

@Cold Hands Looks sweet. Finish the descriptions!

@Raptorman Looks great as well. Just finish up :)
Doesn't seem like this is happening. Sorry to say, but I'm dropping this.
