@Rune_Alchemist
Good to go. <Shocking>, I know.

@Ryteb Pymeroce
Um.

So, uh, why did he join the occult club exactly? Also a bit more fleshing out on the personality would be nice. It's fine that he's learned swordsmanship and stuff, but a fifteen year old isn't going to be some kind of godlike combatant. At best I'll allow like a "could win a regional tournament" tier. Basically don't treat this like a shounen manga. Speaking of which:

the fuck is this

I'd have liked it if you waited for me to mention you before you went ahead and started approving/disapproving people.

People, Sonata. Sonata, people. Some of you probably noticed her stalking the int check. She'll be your Co-GM for when I'm busy.
Wow, didn't expect this much interest this quickly.

Wait, who put this OOC here?
@Fourze @BubblegumQueen @Ryteb Pymeroce @Eisenhorn @Cat @Pleek @Rune_Alchemist @Haunted Panda @Drazah @ZeroCuero

Newcomers are still welcome to apply for now, but I'll start capping apps at some point. Applications will be done on a first-come first-serve basis, so please try and get your sheets written up when you've got a chance.

Also join us for our Halloween Extravaganza this Tuesday; stop by a club meeting for details!

Yurei High School, a public academic institution in modern-day Japan. As of today, Thursday the 26th of October, the formerly-disbanded Occult Club has been re-founded. All students are welcome to join! Oh, and those rumors about the club president blackmailing people into joining? Um...we refuse to comment on that.

Do be careful if you stop by the Halloween Extravaganza, though. Rumor has it that something prowls the school campus at night. Well, not so much "rumors" as "the fervent proclamations of the club president". She's been talking about ridiculous things like that, as well as about the "magitech artifacts" that she's discovered and created to fight off the supernatural.

The club president sure is a character, isn't she?

"Well, thanks for tuning in! This has been today's Yurei High news bulletin. Have a great Tuesday, everyone! I'm Shishigou Chiyo, signing off!"

This is a roleplay meant to incorporate generic anime shenanigans and lighthearted character interaction/humor with some more supernatural elements and a pinch of eldritch horror later on. Characters will be students, faculty, or something of the like at Yurei High who, through one means or another, get involved in the activities of the occult club. Whether an enthusiastic club member, a delinquent who's roaming the school at night, or a tyrannical student council president who finds herself blackmailed by the club president, or a hardline empiricist who's just here to laugh at the idiots, you will find yourselves somehow brought into the president's eccentric fantasies.

Of course, when night falls over the school...you might find that those eccentricies were better placed than you once thought.

Be careful out there. Spooks are about.

In any case, I'd like to know more before I go and commit to anything, but it sounds interesting. What sort of characters are you looking for?

Essentially, characters ought to be affiliated with the high school in some way. The most fluid means is as a student who's been roped into club activities whether by their own volition or by a splash of blackmail/coercion at the club president's hands, but something like a faculty member or the younger child of one is also acceptable, though you should PM me if you're thinking of doing that sort of thing.

Characters ought to have relatively little exposure to ghosts and the like. If they think they had a spiritual experience or went to some "psychic" to get their future read, that's fine, but if they have legitimately seen ghosts before then that's a no-go. Belief in the supernatural can vary, they can be a crackpot on par with the club president herself, or be an utter skeptic who only joined to rain on the president's parade with a sneer.

So basically as long as they're A. related to the school and B. not already an experienced ghost-hunter, you're good to go.

@Three

Heya, three. Good lord this brings back some fun-time memories.

room for me and my skeptic again?~

Oh, huh, didn't actually expect people from the last time I did this to still be around. Welcome aboard.

A reboot of something from quite a while back. A lighthearted little roleplay with just a dash of eldritch horror.

Try not to get spooked out there, kids.
Well, at any rate @Kouki I've removed the controversial bit from Diana's profile; let me know if anything else needs doing.

Thus I've now finished the Soul Eater Manga. So much heart feels near the end, the battle just as crazy. Now having read it, I can appreciate it even more than before now. Not to mention it allows me to understand a lot more things that the anime didn't even touch on which now I know of that it has annoyed me lol. One thing to hate about the anime version of manga is they always cut important parts out, stop the series early, or just change things entirely.

Too true. Most adaptations really don't do the source material justice sans Jojo.

The use of the word "merely" makes me feel like you misunderstand what constitute's as "age appropriate" in this universe's context.

Not really? Even considering the nature of the world, the younger someone is the more important a gap in experience can be. The gap between someone who's been training for a handful years/hasn't ever had to fight for her life because of coddling parents and someone who's been training for only a couple of years moreso is going to be much more than the same couple of years' gap when the two have been training for several decades. She's competent and was deemed solid enough to be sent an offer letter, but when push comes to shove she just doesn't have much real combat experience that's not from sparring.
@Turboshitter
Sure, works for me.

@Kouki
I guess I'll just go ahead and app Claudius's sister as a weapon to be in stasis until needed, I suppose. That'll be up later.
There is no need to worry, all.

The Totally Official Protagonist has made his descent.

No, I'm not apping his sister.
