By the time Jacob was done with his shower, he grabbed a shirt and a pair of pants. Putting them on, he went to the gun storage. He started getting his gun ready, when the rest of the ambush team came in. "Alright if we mess up here in the ambush then were done for so no mistakes we got that?" The others nodded, Jacob got the truck loaded up.
Elliot was stitching up a soldier and looked down at him, "You know, you should let the stitches heal before you start moving around."
"I can't wait that long," He grunted, "I'm needed."
Elliot shook her head, "You're useless if you keep tearing them and bleeding on us. If this happened in the field without a medic, you would be putting your team at risk," She placed the bandage over his shoulder, "Take a few days. We'll be fine without you for bit."
She smiled at stood. She glanced to the clock, Jacob would be leaving. She half wished that he had pulled her back into the room, she felt bad leaving him before he went out on the ambush. She crossed her arms, her stomach was starting to throb. She decided it was probably wise to throw in the towel for the day and bid her farewells and left the medical bay.

Kyle stayed in the shadows watching Elliot leave, he had gotten pretty good at sneaking around. He stayed in the shadows as he went down the hall keeping a good distance between him and her and his brother was out that would mean his best chance was now.
Elliot didn't know where she was going. She wasn't tired and she didn't want to hide away in her room all day while Jacob wasn't even there. Sighed and turned down a corner into a smaller hall. At the end of the hall was a staircase. She walked up them and found herself going up and up. Finally, she came out to the cool breeze on her face. She looked around the roof before walking over to a small bench that must have gotten left behind.

Kyle smiled, good they were going to be alone. He quietly closed the door behind him, "hey Elliot what you doing up here." Oh crap he knew he was in trouble now for speaking. "Before you attack me, the only reason I want my brother out of the way is to take command and I love you." He had said what he came here for, but he didn't move wondering what he answer would be.
Elliot froze when she heard Kyle behind her. Slowly, she turned to look at him, her eyes wide. They looked to the door to see that it was now closed, fuck. She clenched her hands to fists as she looked at him, as he explained himself. Her mouth dropped as she started to back away. She shook her head, "No... No, you don't.... I love Jacob... You're his brother... You can't love me... You can't think I'm worth... killing him..."

Kyle let out a breath and shook his head, "Elliot I'm not going to hurt you, but I do love you I just....thought that with him gone you would turn to me.....I guess I was wrong." He put his hands in his pockets, "I've always tried to get your attention when we first met, but you always turned to my brother he didn't even try to get your attention Elliot I did I thought he was just a crush of yours and he would shrug you off, but he didn't that I wasn't prepared for Elliot."

Kyle looked at the ground, "I don't even know if I am anymore or not I'm just confused right now, so damn confused to where everything doesn't make much since anymore. I'm getting told by the robots that they will end thus war with the info they want, and that resisting will be really bad if we keep doing so. I guess I can't listen to that anymore I knew what was on that computer, but I didn't have the codes. Now I fully understand that they were going to killers all in one final fight, I guess I won't kill Jacob even though I'm still confused."
Elliot let out a sigh of relief, "Oh thank god..." She looked at Kyle and walked over to him. She wrapped her arms around him in a quick hug before she stepped away from him. She gave him a small smile, "Thank you... I just saved him... I don't know what I would do if I lost him..."

Kyle nodded, he heard a voice over the ear piece he had kept. "Anyone....there" he immediately recognized the voice, "Jacob what is your position." He heard Jacobs jagged breathing, "old hotel....in....the suburbs they knew....someone told them we've been betrayed." Kyle's eyes widened, "Elliot get a squad together now....the ambush has be compromised Jacob how many of you are alive?" He heard Jacob groan in pain, "I'm the only one left everyone else is dead I've been shot in the side just hurry I've already activated the distress beacon." Kyles breathing hitched for a second, "Elliot your going with that squad you need to get to him soon or he's gonna bleed out go!"
Elliot's eyes widened when Kyle spoke. She was about she ask him when he said that they had been compromised, accusing him of telling them, but he told her to leave. She nodded and ran down the stairs. Running, she grabbed her bag and any men in the halls she could find. They raced to the trucks and located Jacob's distress beacon and raced to it. She barely waited for the car to stop before she was out and racing into the hotel. She found Jacob and immediately dropped to her knees.

Jacob was taking shallow breaths, his vision swimming in and out of focus. With how much blood he had lost from the wound, he was surprised he could even spray awake. He heard boots hitting against the tile floor of the hotel, his vision focused on the figure in front of him Elliot.
Elliot stitched Jacob up and wrapped it in a bandage. She grabbed a bag of blood that she had packed in and stuck it into his arm and taped the bag to his upper arm. She looked at him and held his face, "Jacob... try and stay with me...."
She carefully helped him to his feet, trying not to hurt him further. A soldier ran over to her and tossed his other arm over his shoulder. The two of them carried him to the car. Again, Elliot placed his head on her lap. She spoke to him as they rushed back to the safe house.

He groaned in pain, he hurt badly his breathing was still shallow. His vision was still swimming, at least the bleeding had stopped that was a good part. He barely heard Elliot talking to him, but he heard her nothingness though her words were muffled to him.
Elliot smiled at him, "I think this is the most I've ever seen you react to a bullet wound," She rubbed his chest as she continued to talk to him, keeping the quiver in her voice down. Jacob didn't need to know that she was scared. It just seemed like the world was trying to kill him... First the sickness, then Kyle, now this. She looked down at him, "Everything is going to be okay."

The truck hit a bump, making sudden movement Jacob stifled a cry of pain. It had been a long time since he had been in this much pain. The soldier behind the wheel, was trying to be as careful as he could with Jacob wounded in the backseat.
Elliot winced when they bounced, she looked down at Jacob as he stifled his cry. She spoke to the driver, as she ran her hand through Jacob's hair, "Careful..."

Elliot nodded and smiled at Jacob, "We're almost back."
They arrived shortly after and Elliot helped Jacob out of the car and with the help of another, took him to the medical bay. She switched up his blood bag and hung it on the hooks next to him. She then ran and grabbed a bag of pain meds. She hung it up next the blood and inserted it into Jacob's arm. She pushed his hair out of his face, "There... You should start to feel better."
She grabbed his hand and held it tightly as she took a seat next to him. She rested her head on his hand and closed her eyes, trying to stop herself from crying.

He felt the pain lessen, that was a great relief to him. Jacob knew if he moved, pain would shoot up through his body, he didn't move his side hurt. Someone had caused this someone had let the robots knew he and his squad had been sent to ambush them. He also knew Kyle wouldn't do that if he did, he would just tell them the location of the safe house.
Elliot kept her head down, brushing under her nose with her sleeve from time to time as her and Jacob sat there in silence. She couldn't think of who did it... Who told them. She assumed that it was some who wanted Jacob out of the way. But didn't want the robots finding everyone else... She didn't get it. It clearly wasn't someone who was on the ambush team as they all died other that Jacob. She finally rose her head and looked up at him, her eyes stinging, "I told you we should've had sex before you left," She teased.
Jacob was safe now. Stable but she was so scared for his life. Too many times, she had almost lost him. She didn't know if she could handle it. She stood and kissed his head, "I'm going... to go for a little walk. I'll be right back."
She walked out of the room, hugging herself, in search of Kyle. She figured she should tell him the news.
