After a week, Jacob was back on his feet. Though the docters had said not to go back out in the field for another few weeks, which he didn't mind much. He was planning, another ambush this one would be a more carefully planned one. Instead of having one exit they would have multiple ones on each side.
Elliot wrapped her arms around Jacob's shoulder as he sat planning his ambush. She sighed, "Already planning to leave me again?"
Despite him being well now, she was still rattled from the last ambush. Even with his extra planning and multiple exits, she couldn't help but think of the worse. She felt like something was trying to kill Jacob and every time she managed to stop it, it swung at him again. She rested her head on his shoulder, "What if someone tells them again?"

Jacob shrugged, "I don't think they will. Not with me already knowing who they are and already threatening them that I tey did it again they would get killed, and I'm not going on this ambush doc said I couldn't go on the field for a few more weeks." He put his arm around Elliot's waist, while setting the map on the nightstand next to their bed.
Elliot smiled when he said that he wouldn't be going out on the ambush. Meaning, she didn't have to worry anymore about him possible dying while out there. She glanced at his hands as he wrapped them around her. She kissed him, "Good."
She didn't say more than that as she continued to hold him. She looked at him chest and slid her hand under his shirt. She ran her fingers along his scars. He had lots of them. He didn't before everything went to shit. He just kept putting himself in danger for others' sake. She kissed him again. She guessed that was what she loved about him. How much he cared about those around me. She looked up at him, she was so scared to lose him, "I love you..."

Jacob smiled, "I love you too Elliot." He felt her hand, go under his shirt he let out a small sigh. He always loved the way her hand felt on his skin, Jacob never got tired of the sensation it sent through him. Every time she did it to him, it always seemed to unravel the seriousness in him.
Elliot was watching her hand move under her hand when he said he loved her. She looked up at him and grinned, "Elliot? Not Ellie?"
She laughed a little and relaxed against him as she continued to run her hands over his scars. Even a year later, she knew where every single one was. There were new ones as well, that he received while she had been away. She liked discovering them. She didn't know Jacob like the back of hand. She loved that she never dreamt about him, just so she was constantly discovering what it was that she had. She lifted his shirt off of his stomach and looked at a scar that ran from his rib to navel. She traced it as she looked at it. He was battered and beaten, she didn't understand how he was still here. But she was bloody thankful that he was.

Jacob laughed at that, "sometimes I forget at times I call you that Ellie, it happens from time to time." He watched as she traced one of the knife wounds he had gotten when fighting a robot in close quarters, he remebered that fight, that fight was hard as hell when going up against a robot that was built and had more strength than a regular man did.
Elliot laughed a little as she kept running her finger over him, "You forget? But you always tried to so hard to call me that just to bug me."
She was so relaxed just lying there with him, sliding her hands over his skin. The feeling of him against her hand. She ran her hand back up to his chest. Her hand poked out of his shirt as she rubbed his neck. His shirt moved up with his arm as it got caught on her wrist. She placed her forehead against his and sighed, "I don't want you to leave... ever again..."

Jacob laughed at the comment, "sometimes I just plain out forget that I call you that." He relaxed against her, he felt her hand move up, and his shirt along with it. He sighed and took off his shirt completely, "no since on keeping it on if your going to have your hand against my skin, and I can't promise you I won't leave for the field again."

His eyes met hers, "I know you worry about me Ellie and I'll always worry about you. We will always worry about each other Ellie, you know you can never stop worrying its a part of life." He put his hands on both sides of her face, letting his thumbs stroke her cheeks.
Elliot closed her eyes when Jacob placed his hands on her cheeks, running his thumbs over them. She always felt like she melted into him, like she wasn't her own person when she was around him, like she was an extension of his being. However, it was in such a way, that she didn't mind. She opened her eyes again and looked at him, "It is... I feel like I'd worry about you less though... if you didn't have to go and fight giant robots."
She smiled at him and laughed a little, "But then who would you be, right?"
She winked before she looked away from his eyes, back to her hand trailing his body.

Jacob only smiled, shaking his head a little bit. He kept one hand on her face while the other. Slipped under her shirt and trailed her back, letting his hand trail the scars on her back, then trailing her spine and her shoulder blades. He smiled at her, he was happy to have Elliot by his side.
Elliot closed her eyes again when Jacob ran his arm under her own shirt. Her hand matched his movements, as it ran up her back, her own ran up his chest. She couldn't fathom how in love with Jacob she was. Had you told her three years ago, before everything broke out, that she'd be lying here like this with the shirtless Jacob, not only would she have probably screamed with glee like the pathetic teenaged girl she was and still was, she'd be utterly amazed. If you told her that it was her who made the first move, she'd be dumbstruck. It was amazing what possibly dying could do to a person.

Jacob thought about three years ago, he never thought he would be lying here under Elliot shirtless. "Alright I have a little question for you when did your crush first start for me, also how many times did you imagine we would be lying here like this? I'm a little curious at that."

Jacob sighed, "more like that was just my teenage self thinking, now it's just doing this from time to time." He said, as he pushed himself up onto his elbows and kissed her. His hand going into her hair, while the other went around her waist as he did so.
Elliot leaned into his kiss as he moved onto his elbows to kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling her closer to him. When they broke the kiss, her breathing was heavy as she looked up at him. She laughed a little, "I... really don't mind this one bit."
