I am looking to start a soap opera game, with over the top acting and writing. It will be set in a New England coastal town called Harper's Haven. It will be set in the 1980s, the years of big hair, cheesy music and colorful clothing. There will be ghosts, tidal waves, seduction, betrayal and everything else that make soap operas so great.

If you are interested in this sort of thing, please say so. If I get four players to show (and at least a couple of females) I will start the OOC thread. There are no "vampire" characters in this game, but there could be touches of the supernatural at times.

This will probably be in the casual section, with two paragraph posts or so.

Possible interest, but don't yet count me as one of those four. I'd like to see where this is going first, because I have a couple character concepts in mind. Although, as it matters in a soap opera, it will be a male character.

Like I said earlier, I'm in as long as there isn't too much fantasy.

Maybe consider expanding a bit on the town or families involved? Maybe some political or cultural change is happening in the town that will make for a story? Obviously you don't want to make it too set in stone, but soap opera is a bit vague and some members might be skimming right past this thread because it is very open and not really decided at all.

Those are good thoughts. I will draw up some definite plans and post them and see if that helps. Give me a few days.

Well, I am going to work on it tomorrow. I will get an entire setting written up.. It is cool to see some more interest.
