The Doctor looked at her when she came over. He didn't know how much longer he could stand up either. He had forced himself to get out of bed in the first place.
"A...Alright. Let me look," His voice sounded shaky and strained. He took the device and pressed the button that would take them back to earth, he was gasping and coughing more when they arrived.
He just walked towards the door of the house.

Caitlyn gave the Doctor a quick hug a smile on her lips. "Thanks for coming to rescue me. Especially since you're so sick." She said opening the door glad to see that her housemates weren't awake or around at that moment and kept an arm around him for helping keeping him up until she reached her room and sat him on the bed. "Now get to bed mister. You have to in order to get better. And I better not hear any complaints." She said with a mock motherly tone still smiling as she was glad the dopplegänger was away slipping into her sleeping bag.

"No problem, Your family to Rose and I wouldn't let anybody be left to aliens if I can help it," He really sounded worn and weak, he walked inside to the bedroom and lay down in bed. He seemed relived to be laying down, his body had got so heavy and weak. He was coughing badly and he looked at her.
"I'll be fine here, you just get to bed," His eyes flicked closed a few times. The Time Lord was very exhausted, he was actually glad to finally be in bed and he curled up.

Caitlyn would have made a remark to that, hell she was still American after all, but the Doctor was bone tired so left it rolling her eyes. She had a feeling she would be doing that a whole lot while he was around. Oh well, he certainly made things a whole lot more interesting. She shut off the light and curled into her blankets allowing her eyes to close snuggling into the blankets.

The next day, The Doctor was still asleep, His body was curled up in all the blankets. He seemed exhausted from the night before, it had been too much effort for him to get up and save her. Now he just wanted to rest.
He seemed to sleep right up until Midday, when he opened his eyes slowly, he didn't really want to get up, he closed his eyes again.He was never this lazy and had never felt so ill before.
He knew he would be better in a few days he hoped.

In the morning, Caitlyn woke up lounging in the bed not bothering to get up. But she had to as she was starting to get hungry stretching out lazily as she took in the house guest glad he was still sleeping. She smiles and carefully left the room so she wouldn't bother his rest, going to the kitchen to make some breakfast. She sat at the table reading a book as she ate the cereal listening to music in an ear making sure it was low enough to hear if the Doctor would need her help soon or not.

The Doctor stayed laying in bed, he was curling up in his blankets not feeling that great. He was quiet as he started to think about his past adventures with Rose. He still wondered if he should see her. He didn't really know what to do, He always wanted her there for him when he wasn't feeling good.
He knew Caitlyn was doing her best to make him feel better as well, it did help, but he still felt heartbroken almost. He was closing his eyes again, he coughed.

Closing the book, Caitlyn got up and checked on the Doctor placing a wrist on his head to check his temperature as she was certain he was still sleeping. Well good news was that it hadn't climbed thanks to that alien with the strange mind control device. She sighs softly in relief that he was getting much better, pulling a hand through her hair, lost in her own thoughts. She would bring him and Rose together again, however, she needed to know if the two of them could handle that. Heartbreak can make any woman human or not crazy and who knew what Rose would do? She knew she had to wait until the Doctor was alright. Her cell began to ring and she rose an eyebrow taking it off the charger and immediately answering it as to not rouse her guest.
"Hello?" She answered softly as she exited the room, closing the door carefully behind her.
"Well that's odd." Oh dear god. What have I done? She thought as she recognized the voice. "You usually don't answer the phone when it rings. You wait until you've checked the ID which takes you about two extra rings. And you're speaking softly. What's going on?"
"Oh, just making sure I don't wake Selena up. She gets grouchy when she's woken up before she's 'well and ready' to get up." Caitlyn answered automatically. She's been telling white lies lately and why not? It would get her in trouble later, but she's only doing what she thinks is best. "What's going on cuz?" She asked leaning on the wall.
"I wish you Yankee wouldn't shorten up words that you do not need to."
"I wish you Brit would keep your nose out of my business." She quipped with a raised eyebrow before she got a laugh from the other side.
"I do enjoy our quips Cat. But Mickey has been acting a bit strange since you called him in for a ride." Cat was an affectionate nickname that only family seemed to call her.
"Rose. It's Mickey. He's bound to be strange." She said in the living room picking at her fingernails.
"Oh, and by the way, happy birthday! You're nineteen now!" Caitlyn sighs.
"Yeah I don't feel any older."
"That's a curse all adults go through. What's wrong though?" How was it that she could be an open book? Especially over the phone?
"Oh...just a long night. I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't catch the same thing that the guy I rescued had." Liar. You went through a particular species of alien abduction.
"I heard about that. And I heard you gave mum the third degree. How I wish I was here to hear that." Rose said amused. Only Caitlyn could get away with sassing Jackie Taylor.

The Doctor heard her on the phone, He knew it was Rose and he could feel the tears falling down his face. He wasn't sure what he was just going to be miserable unless he saw her,. He knew he needed to get well but he didn't think it was going to be easy the more he thought about Rose, he felt like his hearts had been torn out.
"Rose...," he mumbled, he felt strange being around her cousin in ways. He curled up in his blankets. He coughed badly and he moaned as he was miserable.

Unable to take it, The Doctor knew he had to see Rose, he didn't say anything and just sneaked off when Caitlyn was busy doing something. He knew that he had to go and find Rose even if he wasn't meant to be out of bed. He groaned deeply and walked to Rose's house. He was quiet for a bit, he held his breath and just knocked.
He waited to see what would happen. He wasn't sure if Jackie would be pleased to see him. He just needed to see Rose, no matter how things ended up he just really needed to see her, he wasn't sure he could move on or carry on with his life until he did. He also was very sick and was sure feeling upset wouldn't aid his recovery.

The Doctor was neverous. What would he tell her? He also knew Caitlyn would be worried about him and would probably come looking. He wasn't used to slowing down or resting. He was weak and did need to be in bed. But feeling miserable just seemed to distract him from what was really going on.
"Ohhh my head." He mumbled to himself, he had dark shadows under his eyes. He seemed so unwell, At least his fever hadn't increased. He was sure he would get better.

Caitlyn had become busy with the laundry when she heard the door opening. She had just finished conversing with Rose wondering if the Doctor had heard her. Well, she didn't think so but she wasn't willing to bet on it. She checked the hall and then to her room where she colorfully swore under her breath and got a bike taking off after leaving a note saying that John had gone off somewhere and she was tracking him down. She thought of where the Doctor could be and growls when she thought of the most obvious thing. "I'm going to brutally murder you if you upset my cousin. And then as you regenerate, I might do it again just for the hell of it." She mutters under her breath peddling. Rose was sitting in the living room enjoying her cuppa watching the telly, when the door knocked. She became curious as to who it might be for Caitlyn wasn't supposed to be around for another few hours at the most to celebrate although she didn't sound in the mood to do it, she would anyway. She wouldn't disappoint her or her mother in that so she got up, placing the cup on a coaster and went to the door to hear the person beyond the door complaining about his head and she froze just before her hand got to the door knob. No. Way. That couldn't be. But she knew that voice anywhere, heard it tons of times in her dreams. "I swear Cat if that's you out there playin games it ain't funny!" She said torn between outrage and hope. She borrowed the word from her American cousin and it did help make conversation a whole lot easier if you asked her.

The Doctor had tears in his eyes, He knew he had to see her even if it was the last thing he did, "Rose... its me, The Doctor, I just need to see you," He was not sure how she would react. But he felt so heartbroken and lost that he needed to see her, his eyes were dull. He seemed so sick and miserable. "I miss you," he had tears falling down his face now.

He wondered if she would open the door. He coughed and gasped again. His cough and headache was driving him crazy. If anything happened he just wanted to have seen her. He couldn't even sleep anymore without thinking about her.
"I can't stop thinking about you and I am so so sorry." He said apologizing over and over like he sometimes did.

Rose had waited as the Doctor spoke hearing him apologize repeatedly she smiles softly. Yup, this was her Doctor alright. Apologizing even when one would probably suffice. Caitlyn stopped some distance away, watching the house from around the corner, wanting to see what would happen her hands gripping the handles tightly enough so her knuckles turned white. Rose opens the door slowly still a bit apprehensive and looks up to see her Doctor look so...sick. "What happened to you? Did you get sick again? Oh dear did you need that kind of tea again? I could make it in a jiffy." She said in a rush for she wasn't certain why he looked so sick again. She had to go through that once already and only tea had helped just as she needed him to be alright again. And she was generally worried about him. She probably would when in better strait of mind yell at him for leaving her alone like that.

The Doctor smiled sadly looking at her, he had missed her so much, his eyes just filled with tears,He hadn't wanted to leave her alone like that.
"Yes... I've been very sick, I probably haven't been sleeping well enough, I woke up the other day feeling terrible, I've been so upset and kept thinking of you, Thought I was going to make my self worse If i didn't come see you." he coughed terribly and his voice sounded weak. He smiled faintly at the mention of tea, he wasn't sure if it would cure him, but it sure did make him feel a little better to drink tea when he was sick. "Tea would be great." He put his arms around her and sobbed a bit.

Rose held onto the Doctor rubbing his back soothingly allowing him to get out the sadness he held in him and she sighs. "I can forgive you. But I doubt mum can. She'd have a cow and feed it to us for lunch. And I'll make that tea for you. Would you like to come inside?" She asks knowing that she was puddy in his hands and couldn't stay mad at him too long. She and Caitlyn shared the same mind set about it though they had no idea of it. They both knew that he couldn't stay with one girl, being the last of his kind and all. Caitlyn sighs in relief glad that had gone smoothly smiling as she watched the two getting a bit teary eyed at the tender scene. She was a sap for this sort of thing and not to mention it was happening right in front of her and in real life.

The Doctor gave a tired smile at the mention of her mum "Ohh yeah kinda expect to get slapped by her for a second time for this,' He knew her mother would not be happy, But it had been hard, He had missed her and his hearts had ached being without her. "Though strange how your cousin the one to find me.' he kept coughing badly. "I was so lonely and miserable , I wandered around till I fainted." he wondered if he would have been dead without her.
He walked inside and was coughing more, his fever seemed higher again, He has tears in his eyes. Something else was likely wrong.

Rose sat him down in a chair thinking things over her eyes widening in surprise when she figured it out. "This is why Mickey was acting so weird." She said looking him in the eye studying him. "This don't seem like normal sickness Doctor. What really is wrong with you?" Rose asked as she went into the kitchen to put on the pot as the door knocked in Cat's signature rythum beat and the door opens.
"So I'm out of the bag." She said as she entered the living room and placed the many medicine bottles on the table hands at her hips. "How do you expect to get better if you don't take your medicine? Tsk, some 'doctor' you are." She teased sitting on the ottoman as it was her seat at the house.
"You have some explaining to do young lady." Rose said in a mock stern voice. Caitlyn rolls her eyes.
"Oh yeah let's just immediately tell my cousin whose been grieving over this man for months that he suddenly came out of no where and is really sick. That would have gone wonderfully." She said sarcastically.

The Doctor leaned back on the couch "I honestly don't know... I have never been so sick, I don't feel like doing anything and normally I want to see the universe." He closed his eyes for a moment. "Needed to see Rose, needed to tell her why I did what I did."
He leaned over taking Rose's hand. "I am so sorry I did what I did... So so sorry, But I had to go somewhere where the chance of survival was pretty much no chance, I know If I told you, you would have still wanted to come, and I couldn't let you be killed, Promised Jackie I'd keep you safe, I didn't want you to see me killed either," He was very pale and he closed his eyes. "I am surprised I survived."

This is serious if the Doctor doesn't want to see the universe as he normally does, Rose thought getting more worried for him than ever. "I would have wanted to come. I did everything I could to get to you when the Daleks showed up, and that had been dangerous as well. What exactly were you going up against?" She asked for if he was surprised he survived it must have been massive, holding his hand in her own when the tea kettle started whistling. Caitlyn got up and went to the kitchen with a 'I got it' wave of her hand. She got the tea pot off the heat, and poured the water over the tea allowing it to soak while it cooled down a bit. She had seen him drink the tea without cream and sugar before so she guessed he liked it like that. But to be certain she'd bring some out anyway. She took out the tea, cream and sugar on a tray out to the living room and placed it on the table near him.
"Careful it might still be a bit hot." She cautioned as she once more got comfortable on the ottoman, giving them some privacy by becoming lost in her head in day dreams.

"This was worse that that, if you had come, I could have lost you, but the planet itself is not the best place and the thing is I don;t know what that thing was." he groaned and held his middle like he was in pain. The Doctor though noticed the tea and he takes it and sips it, the Doctor's eyes looked dull and less full of energy and life like normal. He holds her hand again after hes had some tea. He wondered if the illness was from the planet he had been on.
"Escaping damaged the TARDIS and she had to repair herself." he coughed more. He closed his eyes again and lay his head on her, He knew his choices were always to protect her.

Rose was worried for the Doctor, he seemed to be getting worse rather than better. Add to the fact he had no idea what it was he fought against, it could be really bad. As the saying went, better the devil you knew. She sighs and pulls a hand through his hair wondering what she could do for him to get him better. Caitlyn blinks and looks at them biting her lip as she noticed the lack of luster the Doctor had, looking worse than she had found him. She wondered a bit if that rescue had taken too much from him. She'd rather still be in their control than him to continue suffering.
