I enjoyed being able to see what was posted last in each section while on the main page. Sad Commander is sad.

Yeah, I temporarily removed it to prevent people from spamming f5 on the homepage.

I will turn it back on eventually, but I have to optimize it so that it can withstand the f5ers.

I suspect they will just switch to F5ing directly on Spam. ;)

Yes, but refreshing the page sends a new request for information to the server which then has to send the new info back. A lot of people doing it repeatedly can overburden the server and cause it to crash. This is the same premise behind DDOS attacks, by the way. Getting the server to the point where it can actually withstand the usage strain people are putting on it is part of the rebuilding thing that is still ongoing.
