Personality: Introverted, shy…depressed and defeatist at times…afraid of women.
Bio: Markie was around five when his parents died, being killed in a violent car accident that left him mute, right before his eyes. Ended up living with his grandmother and his mentally ill aunt; his grandmother was quite weak and could hardly move too much during the day, while his aunt seemed to dote on him immediately. The first two years were lived relatively peacefully…till the young boy covered for his aunt’s kleptomaniacal ways, when she was discovered by a neighbour trying to steal underwear from their clothes line. His aunt was oh so grateful…
After that, his memory was a blur of act of abuse after act of abuse, for over five years. Sexual abuse, physical abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, locked up in his room…all pleading with him to forgive her, to love her, to save her. Who was going to save Markie? The abuse was discovered when his grandmother no longer left the house…apparently, she had a heart attack, and died in bed without either him or his aunt even noticing. He couldn’t be blamed for that, right? He was locked up in the room, the only person who he saw for five years was his aunt, she should have noticed! Right? RIGHT?!
After many years of counselling, at aged twenty, Markie thought he had finally reached a healthier mental state…his aunt was instituted with very little chance of being released. Thought he was over it, thought he could be alright…but then, a few years later, OID waltzed into his life.
OID: Everything in his world is ‘alive’, squishy or soft…covered in saliva or sweat and making ‘disgusting’ sounds, they make even worse sounds when touched in any way by him. This is enough to making him sick, every time.
Monster: So far…the being is covering in a draping cloak that drags along the ground in long trains. Sometimes, it lifts the hood enough to show a long tongue licking it’s lips…sometimes it laughs long and hard and high pitched.
Key: Kiss the person under the cloak?! OR WORSE?! Killing them should be enough...right?
